ATV Television Misc Ramblings - Why Choose the Terra Cross

Wha all-around tire would your recommend for a renegade xxc? i ride in mostly sand and hard packed trails but they can get very muddy. I need a tire that can handle a reasonable amount of mud and still handle well in high speed trails.

Ok cool yeah I should yeah I was wondering what happen that the only ones I see is the xxc version but yeah still good reason why I was because those stock tires ant that good in the mud right because me and me friends sometimes go mud bogging only if we want and when I see a mud hole I wanna go trough it so yeah so are these tires good for that

@IxsnipeddxI The X we tested had ITP Holeshot ATRs and they worked pretty well. Might also look into the Carlisle ACT. We never tried them on a Renegade but they sure work great on other machines we've used them on...

Hey I was wondering i'm having trouble to pick tires my options are Terra cross tires maxxis zillas or the mud lite xtrs I drive in trails hard pack trails rocks sand mud and sometimes we do heavy mud bogging Now and then of we get bored so yeah thanks for the help

i am looking to get some new tires for my atv (sportsman 550 xo)i am having a hard time deciding on which one to pick from the itp Terra cross xd or the Maxxis Bighorns and i know they are almost the same is there a edge on one of them i like to ride on mud, snow, sand, and rock or if you have any suggestions on a different tire that's a good all terrain tire

@joez656 I greatly prefer the Terra Cross as they handle better and has a bit better traction, but the Bighorns have a great reputation for lasting a long time. The Bighorns are better for slower riding riders in rougher and rockier terrain.

I removed a set of Zillas on my Arctic Cat atv, and installed these Terra Crosses, and they are awesome. I've hit deep mud, and they may pack a little more than the Zillas, but just give them a good spin in the mud and they clean out well. They do ride so awesome. My wife thanks me all the time for getting them because they ride so well. I don't miss the Zillas at all.

"Maxxis Bigharrns? I hope that's right" C'mon, You wouldn't have any trouble remembering if they sponsored you. Everyone I know will take the Maxxis over the ITP anyday.

They're called Maxxis Bighorns. And yes they are a very good tire that wears very, very well, but are a bit too indirect and imprecise handling for my tastes. I prefer better handling over better longevity.

They will fit an XP. They do work well on muddy and snow-covered trails. And most importantly they will improve the handling and steering.

what would you rather ? the itp or the interco swamp lites or the kenda bear claw's ?? on a 2009 grizzly 700 ?

So much depends on the ATV (or UTV) they go on and where you ride. The Terra Cross are one of the best "all around" trail tires, but won't work as well in the deep mud or snow as some other tires with a more aggressive tread designed for those conditions.

Would they fit on a Sportsman XP? And are they very good in mud?
