  • yep

  • Was this filmed at Burnsville Pistol Range?

  • This guy isn't holding the pistol the best way he can. He has a pretty low grip and is cupping the bottom with his support hand. You'll see a lot of muzzle flip because of this.

Also check out .45 Super. Brings the .45 ACP cartridge up to higher pressures for faster muzzle velocity.

  • 45 because its more common and plenty powerful... before i got a 10mm i would get a 44 magnum because bullets are more common... if the 10mm ammo was more common i would get 1.. by the way sir im 12 and 45 acp pistols move less in my hands than yours fix the grip!!!

  • they all hurt like hell when you get shot by them

  • so which one have more power ? 45 ACP or 10mm ?? can any one tell me please . i don't know about guns . and which one is bigger round 45 or 10

  • lol all the studies show that the 45 still hits harder due to its weight and size. The only thing the 10mm has is more speed coming out the barrel due to its 45 shell and smaller bullet. But the 45 still produce more Jules then the 10mm. Hence more stopping power. I will stick the the 45. Even though I do plan on getting the 10mm conversion kit for my glock30 I still think the .45 cal is king. I remember they said the same thing about .40 cals back in the day but 45 is still the king. lol

  • You need to work on your grip a bit there, and also some better trigger control. A few times it looked like you "accidentally" let a round fly before your sights were on the target. Also, after you were done shooting you still had your finger in the trigger guard instead of out and safe.

  • 2:20 sounds like a guitar riff :P

  • i would stick with the .45 because the 10mm is not yet proven on the street. i would however get behind the 10mm to increase its popularity with say a few police departments or something.seems like it would be a good choice for us marshalls or DEA where cover may have to be shot through or a cokehead wants to rip your balls off.

  • @wootfortoot I think 10mm is a great round the only problem is that its expensive and hard to find, well hard to find where I live at least.

  • If you get a proper grip on that gun it won't jump out of your hand.

  • @45oneshotstop I was going to say the same exact thing! As a 23 year old (trained new school) Iraq Veteran and civilian police officer, please take my advice and change your pistol grip.

  • you have freaking huge recoil cuz you dont grip the pistol propertly....your stand and grip are horrible, but if you grab the gun correctly the recoil is 80% less than you show in this video

  • Change your grip and will find both weapons more managable and easier to reaquire your target.

  • hold the gun correctly...on some of the 10mm rounds you completely let go of the gun with your left hand...imagine shooting a short 44 mag...it would break your fingers

  • Hold it properly an you will have less recoil.

  • first you need to pick the gun like a men , soo behind you shoot

  • Have you run that load over a chrono yet? Every factory 10mm load I have ever seen has been downloaded well below the original specs. I guess because the older stuff was beating guns to death...or maybe the recoil?...Anyway, I have always liked the 10mm and I wish somebody would make an aftermarket barrel for my xd.45 compact.

  • Check ballisticsbytheinch... dot... com , they chrono different factory 10mm loads. 10mm was meant to have two different power loads offered, full blown near magnum and a softer defense load, same concept as the 41 Magnum when it was introduced. Couple factory rounds they chrono are real firebrathers.

  • jd - these were 155 Rem JHP over 9.5g Power Pistol. Enjoy your Delta - fine pistol indeed.

  • barflewk - didn't chrony these loads, but they feel roughly similar to my 357 mag. They are definitely hotter than std off the shelf 10mm or 40 S&W.

    DS

  • I have a 460 - it's all about grip, lest you lose your left thumb from the gas escaping the barrel cylinder gap.

    DW

  • Justin - not sure what model the Smith was. 10mm in 1911 is fun with loads that are quite warm IMO. Someone else may have a different opinion.

  • 2pac - Witnesses can be hit or miss. I've seen pics of frame cracking in the 10mm. EAA does not take good care of their customers.

    DW

  • Sword - 10mm ammo can be hard to find. If you want the 10mm it helps to reload. These are 155 Rem JHP on top of 9.5 grains Power Pistol.

  • Actually that was my shooting bud. It was his first time with the 10mm. I noticed the saucer cup grip also. Each round has its place. It's hard to beat the classic 45ACP. The 10 definitely has more bark but the recoil isn't much different than the 45. It's a great show off round. I have the 45 and th 10mm in 1911 platform. I shoot the 45 better than the 10 probably because I have many times the rounds down the 45 pipe. The 10mm muzzle blast&flash is considerable and may cause flinching. dw10mm

  • which one do you think is better?

  • i think imma get me a 10 mm. waddaya think!

  • Poor pistol grip. Watch the video by todd jarett on proper pistol handling.

  • If you put your support hand higher on the gun, you would feel less recoil and be able to follow up faster...

    Ride the slide...

  • And. . on the 10mm. . .also the recoil isn't that bad. He's using a freaking cup and sacuer grip so of course the gun is going to jump!

  • The recoil from the .45 ACP isn't as bad as you make it look. A proper grip makes all the difference . . .

  • what the hell? We don't get to see the targets after shooting the 10mm !!

  • I'd really hate to have to choose between the .45 ACP and the 10mm. I've owned/shot both and love both. My solution: Buy both!

    :)

  • thats cuz you have a bad grip

  • Note: There was no flinching going on with either weapon. No wild shooting but next time I will remember to remove my finger from the trigger after shooting. This is a common mistake made even by experienced shooters.
