There's always the same problem with creations like this...

there is no path or sense of directiion in the park. The whole land is one ride that lasts for so long- it's dawn by the time it's finished

I agree to an extent.  This just isn't really a park so much as it is just an ride video. I don't like how fast the time goes by. It makes it hard to create too long of a ride.

mist is a particle effect found in scenery objects and I don't know what you mean underground. The game should automatically place track underground when attaching into exposed terrain tiles.

fog is a particle effect found in the scenery objects and the rain believe it or not happened on it own. u can however adjust weather in the scenario editor.

google RCT SUPER RING! there is a ton of downloadable scenery and effects.  I have been playing rollercoaster tycoon since 1999 when i found it. so i have a ton of experience. good luck, you'll get it.
