  • I think you've just gone too far with YOUR idea of 'music'...

  • @Clairs88 Huh?

  • This piece is an Atonal Epic. I had the privelege of hearing it live, and there is no comparison to hearing Grisey's intricate timbre relations live.

  • Someone could make amazing video art to this...

  • excuse me, I think u didn't upload it all of the first part. and there's no first Interlude. am I correct?

  • magic,epic,wonderful!

  • I don't think this is as good as Justin Bieber.

  • A guy I know studied under him..greatest spatial composer in the world

  • Wow. Atonal and repetitive at the same time! I like it a lot, btw.

  • eccellente. excellent. thanks to condivide this great music.

  • So how exactly does spectral analysis work here? did he plug in the Ravel snippet and notice a function similar to a sin wave? Did he use the Fibonacci sequences as input for a Fourier transform equation? I'm having a hard time comprehending how these transformations work exactly. I must say this music is extremely interesting.

  • @birdmetal90 - He 'neutralises' the Ravel snippet - treats it like a audio cut-out or sample, and the compositional 'space' is like that of a sound-editing programme. So the Ravel arpeggio is stretched, compressed, and transformed in lots of other ways. Grisey and Murail's spectral music treats music as process; a bit like a tape being played that can be speeded up, slowed down etc

  • always been a huge fan of Grisey's, and this piece is amazing as well. thank you ;-)

  • great music, my I share it with others?

  • @jyfjin Please do - share it with everyone!
