@birdmetal90 - He 'neutralises' the Ravel snippet - treats it like a audio cut-out or sample, and the compositional 'space' is like that of a sound-editing programme. So the Ravel arpeggio is stretched, compressed, and transformed in lots of other ways. Grisey and Murail's spectral music treats music as process; a bit like a tape being played that can be speeded up, slowed down etc
I think you've just gone too far with YOUR idea of 'music'...
