I love it, good rhythm, great voice.. Though, personally I can't stop thinking if it would have you render the song otherwise if you actually thought about why the last chorus has different lyrics and gets shut down rather abruptly in the original version. No offence, it's just my thought and I enjoyed your version greatly too. Thanks.
This version is far better than Marianne Faithfull's... but Dr. Hook's version is the one I heard first, so I prefer its steel drum backup music more! Robin, I must say that you did a real fine cover version of this tune,though!
Thanks Trev,funny thing I first heard this song from a mate about 15 years ago and he played in a punk band(I then heard the original on the film Thelma & Louise before the days of Utube). But he had a little passion for folky acoustic stuff too and had an armoury of great songs I'd never heard of !
Thanks Harry,I live in a little village called Narberth. The coastline is the village of Saundersfoot about 5 miles away. I'll have to post one in the daylight !
I rather like to see the guitar playing but for your it's different cause the images are beautiful lol. Good tune that I didn't know. In your range of voice that sounds verry comfortable.*****
Cheers Steeve, some times I think I play a little better/different when not conscious of being on video...just a bit of an experiment really. Thanks again.
@MrViking444 Thanks very much

@Titan752 Some songs are better left alone to take their place as classics. Do not mess around with greatness.

This is a great song!!
I've never heard it before, so thanks for the introduction. My mother used to sing me songs from her older albums.
It was nice seeing your town too.
Thanks again.
