How much Europe needs a leader like Hitler today to save it from the social-democratic, cultural Marxist, repressive-tolerance, one-party liberal Zionist Occupied States of Europe today where the Rothschilds control the media, entertainment and governments. Read the first uncensored, accurate translation of Mein Kampf by Ford. It describes tyrannical Jew-controlled Europe today with uncanning accuracy.

The Jesuits completely altered the education system to suit their evolution agenda to discredit the Bible. They cant have a Satanic society of 'Do as Thou Wilt' if people still follow the Bible.
Hitler was not a typical christian. He was pretty anticlerical, like Mussolini was. It doesn´t mean he was an atheist. But blaming religion for what he did is as stupid as blaming ecologism or vegetarianism for nazism.
@xaviqaz The difference here is that the religion he preached to his people really did have a sacred dogma at least partially supporting his actions. A reducio at Hitlerum argument is quite unfounded much of the time, yes, but religious zealotry has a verifiable track record of genocides. Vegetarianism has no sort of doctrine or history.
So yes, religion shouldn't be entirely to blame for his actions, but it certainly shares some of the burden.
@GrantRants No, religion should not be blamed at all for Hitler actions. It had nothing to do. Nationalism (aka glorification of government power) was the doctrine behind.
@xaviqaz Hitler found his way into power because of economic instability and an aptitude for rhetoric. However, his genocidal tactics were absolutely religiously based. Anti-semitism in Germany had been popularized hundreds of years ago by Martin Luther, to an even greater extent than anti-semitism in most European countries of the time. The arguments against Jewish people were created by Christian propagandists and perpetuated by them for centuries.
@xaviqaz Hitler's personal actions were absolutely influenced by religious beliefs, his doctrine against his target groups long ago found its foundations in entirely religious settings for religious purposes by religious people, and he personally believed that his actions were by the mandate of, and for the glory of, the Abrahamic God. There was no secular argument for killing Jewish people, especially not in Nazi Germany.
@GrantRants Racial antisemitism was not the typical religious antisemitism. Racial doctrines are modern secular chauvinism. By the way, he also persecuted many catholics and protestants.
@xaviqaz It was racial and religious, and Jews were used because they had been a popular scapegoat in Germany since the 1500s. The other groups came after because they were also popular scapegoats. And no, racial doctrines absolutely are not the result of secular chauvinism, because anyone who understands anything about genetics knows that human race is an illusory construct. The people who argue for racial superiority are using pseudoscience, not actual logic.
@xaviqaz And the belief that he persecuted Catholics/Protestants because of their religious affiliation is fallacious and unsupported. He had made various speeches upholding the benefits of both sects within German culture, remained in good standing with the Catholic church, and despite contradictory private claims about the nature of religion, never publicly tried to execute those groups. That's historical bunk that I hear far too often, and it's just not true.
@xaviqaz Dissenting Christians who felt that he wasn't acting in accordance with their beliefs did, in fact, go into hiding, and some of them were hunted out because they were rebelling against the party. But they were never rounded up and executed (either Catholics or Protestants) like gypsies, homosexuals, jews, or other racial minorities. He enjoyed widespread support from German Christians, and it's an outright lie to assert differently.
@GrantRants What is german christians?? In my country 90% define themselves as christians but only 10% attend churches regularly. Hitler had the love of a majority of germans until the early 1940s. That´s the truth. Many regular people and german insititutions (not only religious) did nothing when racial laws were passed in 1935 and jews were systematically stripped of rights and properties. If you want to start the blame game, we could blame many many people.
@xaviqaz And yes, we CAN blame many people. I made that EXPLICITLY clear when I said that there were multiple factors that influenced the rise of Naziism. I simply argued that religion, particularly the main sects of Christianity, happened to be ONE of those factors, and you're adamantly denying that despite clear evidence that it was the case.
I'm not blaming religion alone; I'm saying that it was simply one of the more prominent factors. To argue otherwise is simply wrong.
@xaviqaz I can give proof of Hitler's writings and words, the religious mindset of the Third Reich Germans, the support of Catholics and Protestants abroad, the long history of violence perpetuated in the same vein against European Jews, the German Protestant origins of institutionalized anti-semitism, the effect it had on German culture through philosophy and music and art, and the moral/ethical support it gave to people who read it the right way (and more). Please stop being a loony.
@xaviqaz Your opinion on the matter is unfounded and a tad silly. That being said, since you refuse to acknowledge the obvious fact that religious dogma was a factor in the development of Third Reich behavior--and because it's useless to argue with people on Youtube--I do believe I'm done. All you've done to counter me is say "Nuh-uh becuz I sed so", and I don't much care to waste any more time on you. Good day, sir.
@xaviqaz What are you even talking about now? I honestly don't know what you mean by "worse results". Furthermore, how does that even remotely effect the fact that religious doctrine had a noticeable part to play in Nazi ideology and the general behavior of the Third Reich?
@xaviqaz Once again, I will not blame religion entirely for the rise of the Nazis. Much of their power did come from international instability and reparation damage from the first World War, and much of their general fascism was there simply because it was a good way to motivate crowds. But it's absolutely verifiable that the pseudo-eugenics policies they enacted had strong Protestant roots and were religiously condoned for centuries. Hitler's genocides absolutely had religious tenets to them.
Dont be totally ignorant!!. See this, PLEASE! "watch?v=EGLPADW_kUw", then this "watch?v=8vj0qKthCgg", and this "watch?v=_K2I5P36-Z8", and this "watch?v=5HbtoX3Q5OI". Then come back again and start to be atheists.... btw. HITLER WANT TO KILL ALL CHRISTIANS!!!. HITLER USES WORD GOD BUT DOSNT BELIVE IN GOD !!!!.
Sure, but with power comes responsebility, your governments havent actually tried to improve the world that much. In fact, you have worked AGAINST the UN on several different things.
Including IMPORTANT regulation laws, military laws, etc. If anything, you make the world worse.
Do you want to know why some people decided to hide the truth about religion? Bet you don't. The real truth about God, which only a few know, stings. And it reveals a lot about social engineering around the world.

Beck says we recognize God's authority but I seriously question if this is true for those of the Mormon faith. They are indoctrinated to the rules of Mormonism - and not the freedom of God's love. Judgemental thoughts that are a prerequisite of Mormonism do not fit in with the idea of God's messages.

@gdawn6812 Interesting but unsupported assertion. If sin = crime it would follow agnostics and atheists would be inprisoned at far higher relative levels then are the fathfull. Fact is the opposite, not by a great margin but still true. Seneca - Religion is true to the common man, false to the wise man and useful to the politician. Regards
@1Skeptik1 Most athiests and agnostics were still raised in Christian househoulds and understand that they need to be on good behavior to prove eveyone wrong. They're still scared of the judicial system, but you will see higher rates of crime in their children and grandchildren who didn't have the same religous experiences as their parents or grandparents.
@gdawn6812 I agree, most are raised in a "Christian" home but question the second part of your assertion? I attempt to be open minded, can you refer to any study to support the atheist children assertion? Perhaps "men of reason" (as opposed to men of faith) avoid prison as they tend to be better educated and and score higher on aptitude profiles then do the faithful? If we refuse to think for ourselves there is always someone close by to do so, usually for a fee. As for Seneca? Regards

If god's so great why does he need the likes of Glenn Beck protecting him from falling out of popularity? Beck, like many others, still lives under a veil of pious oppression. Grown adults brainwashed into believing in God is what is wrong with this world, NOT rational thinkers.
@whitehorsejason It's you who should be doing some research. Or read Bob Rosio's book Hitler and the New Age. Of course he wasn't going to be declaring publically that he served lucifer. His spiritual mentor Dietrich Eckart boasted that he had taken Hitler through a luciferic initiation. do sone research before you start making pointless
@LukeAir2008 Your missing the point and kind of reading a little too far into it.Lucifer is as laughable as Jesus. The real point is Hitler condemned atheists and jews to no end, every chance he got on the podium.Hitler used religion to control hordes of idiots to commit barbaric acts. And really by all rights if it didn't come out of his mouth it is really just here say. Do you really think that Christians and Catholics have not been trying their hardest since Hitlers death to create distance?
@anglianchannel Well I don't hate america just to be clear. Before you start declaring America is a saint and not worthy of any criticism. America is the only country to ever use nuclear weapons on heavily populated areas. Their unstable mentality of the christian fundamentalists rival that of any extremist muslim country. Your media is run by zionists which are equivalent to the nazi's in the racial supremacy category, although much scarier with their stealth. Hitler was a piece of shit, beck 2
@Akira89M Well, some will try to claim that "Hitlers Table Talk" written by his closest confidants ( prisoners of war at the time) reveals that he was lying and despised christianity, lol. My reply is, you mean someone used religion to justify such horrible atrocities? You really can't win with a brainwashed morons. Anyway, peace, and keep spreading the truth. :)
No, Glenn Beck, it's because the Europeans lived in better conditions than the rest of the world, so it was easier for them to advance and expand. Other areas were too busy just trying to survive the day.
why is it that all these stupid christians get scared by people that dont believe in any god at all, but they are perfectly fine with the billions of people that believe in god's that promote murder, slavery, fear, and rape.......Christianity included.
Dawkins put it exactly right. Atheists aren't bad people (Minus the exception), we love just like anyone else, and just because we don't believe in God doesn't make us bad people.
In fact, there's more hatred coming from religious people than there is coming from non-religious people. It's ironic, really.
When Hitler referred to God he wasnt referring to the Judaeo-Christian God. He was a Theosophist and a disciple of Madame Helena Blavatsky who believed in Lucifer as the god of the human race. His mentor, Dietrich Eckhart, claims that he took Hitler through a luciferian initiation.
@lanceawatt 80% poppycock!! Obviously you don't or won't understand what being a catholic means. It means the exact opposite of what the Nazis and Communists did! Getting respect by such claims is a travesty of any religion! Don't you see what tricks the Nazis played and claims they made to gain respect?
@334286 the catholic church were in full support of the Nazi party. The Nazi's used the killing of Jesus by jews as an excuse for the holocaust. God commits genocide in the bible as did the Nazi's. God condems homosexuals as did the Nazi's.
These are all facts. The Nazi's were catholic and protestant, but Germany is mainly Catholic. My grand father even tells me these things and he is a catholic. I'm sorry but it's true.
@lanceawatt There's no need to apologise. Those 'facts' don't represent the true picture, The official line was that they supported the Nazis. By threat. The Nazis were dead against all religion, though and Christianity, so were the Communists, Your blaming God for every ungodly thing is typical of atheists who hate the idea of God being good. You can bombard me with facts, facts and more facts, but if you don't see the the true picture those facts are just meaningless. That's the truth.
@334286 LOL hard to deny history. By the way, did you know many christians believe the catholic church is the whore of babylon because of the popularity and that you worship false idols? So according to them you are going to hell too, along side the nazis. Makes a lot of sense eh?
@LukeAir2008 Do your homework again, lol. In none of his public speeches or his publications was there any reference of this. I think you are referring to some of the more modern christian mythology.
One thing can see regarding Glenn Beck & God is (Beck is Mormon, btw)
"God ...what a hoot this guy is "!
Bill maher is correct we may jusy see a blow up of this guy yet on camera & he totally loses it completely . Maybe strung up in his own closet found hanging with two sets of wet suits on to self pleasure himself ...like they found Jerry Falwell's 2nd in command Gary Aldridge . What it seems to be is the incessant need to be right , that is the "Right Wings" downfall , laughable
Beck knows nothing about the history of Europe. At the time of the founding of America the kingdoms/nations of Europe were extremely religious, god believing and fearing people. Each European nation had an established church that received both physical and financial support from the state and religious groups fought with fervor over whose interpretation of scripture was correct.
@uiruu Good on you... It is time to stand up and be counted. People like Glenn do not represent America any more. They like to think that they do and their existance makes people stay quiet about their beliefs or lack of them. Enough is enough, we can't live under this dogma anymore!
@uiruu the less religious we become the faster pedophilia, rape, murder, crime, drugs, sex-slavery & gangs rise statistically. but I don't imagine your the type of person who actually gives a damn about others anyway ...unless you get something out of it.
america was founded on the groundbreaking principles of the seperation of church and state unlike their european rivals who had state religions. Thats what made them sucessful
Why is America powerful? You fat dumb bastard! America is powerful because wealthy, white, powerful educated men got poor, white, powerless, and ignorant men to do their bidding. This started with stealing a continent from its indigenous brown people. Then kidnapping and enslaving black people to work the land they stole, and finally dominating the entire world through the use of deadly force.

Oh yeah god is the reason America is a prosperous country...it has nothing to do with the fact that it has nearly 4 million square miles of exploitable resources.
@gamer2be08 Hay, where did you get that info? I want to know, because Im a satanist and your making a mockery of my beliefs! How many times does Hitler himself say "Gott" in his speech. Hitler was a chistian, learn your history...
@LtModigliani He was not a Christian. He was in fact a satanist and some even believe he was demon possessed. Just because someone says they God in their speeches or was raised a catholic does not mean they are a Christian. Learn some common sense buddy.
Common sense is nothing more than a common understanding. never the less it doesnt make it true by default. Anyways I dont realy care about the christian part,(I know what I know) What I want ot know is where did you get your information from that he was a satanist. and even better, "Possesed by demons"
this is off topic, but just because Hitler was a christian doesn't really prove anything except he was ridiculously clever and smart enough to know that religion makes an excellent tool when controlling others. It doesn't matter if he was or wasn't a christian. The fact is he used it to manipulate others. In fact most dictators use similar methods to control others. Doesn't matter what method they use, they're still bad people doing horrific things for power and glory.
Not that this really matters, but if you read "Mein Kampf" and "Talks at Dinner" (I'm not sure that this is the proper English name of the book), you'd find out that Hitler was more ridiculous than "ridiculously clever" to a point that it's sometimes hard to understand is it ignorance or madness talking...
And then, when you look at his actions - you KNOW he was not smart at all (especially if you compare them to the gleams of common sense in his words),,,
when you have people like glenn beck spreading bs filled propaganda speaches playing on people's emotions. it's a recipe for disaster.
hitler didn't seem like a monster at first either. with his god speeches etc.
rest assured people like beck are not in it for the greater good of you or I. there is a underlying plan in the works. thankfully in america we can keep people like beck from being in any kind of power.
I see all kinds of similarities of hitler's rise in glenn beck's popularity.
they both give speeches of propaganda, they both want to unite their "people" or restore honor as he calls it, they both didn't/don't hold political office, they both rose to power the most during a depression, and they both talk endlessly about how god is on their side and they both talk neg about the president and others in power.
hitler started the nazi party, beck helped spread the word for the tea party.
@SmoothCriminalAaron They're both spewing the same kind of nonsense. If god exists I'm pretty sure he doesn't care about one particular country in general. God probably isn't even Christian to be honest.
are you seriously claiming that glen beck is the same as Hitler? that is just morally a wrong thing to do, Hitler was responsible for the deaths of millions while Glenn Beck is the voice of the American people
@crazyeye93 hes not claiming they are the same, hes showing that what beck said about god being in a nation making it great, is a false statement. because hitlers nation had god, and it was bad.
@TheJameySuede ...thats true. he was actually a very intelligent being as well have a great sense of art. . . . . just, you know, he wanted genocide. but he was smart, nonetheless, even if he picked such a crazy path.
@12GaugeSteel how about, one is a racist that wants to have everyone live in a theocracy witch he would rule with an iron fist, and have all those against him put to death. And the other was Hitler.
When someone speaks out against religion all of a sudden theyre bad people. The religious always claim freedom of speech and religion but deny anyone who disagrees those very rights they thrive on.
The God of the Bible is NOT the god of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Glenn Beck is not a Nazi but a great American who is simply warning us of the dangers of atheism and materialism.
@GuerrillaSauce Adolf Hitler and the Nazis did everything they could to eliminate the Judeo-Christian God, the God of the Bible. He killed over 6 million Jews! Have you ever heard of the Holocaust? Don't tell me there's no danger in atheism and materialism.
Hitler proclaimed to be a Catholic and even wrote of his belief in creationism and that Darwinian evolution was impossible - he referenced God in many of his rallies and claimed that he was doing God's work on occasion.
Even if he was lying and was an atheist, the vast majority of the Nazi's were not.
Even then it would be a massive stretch to imply a causal link between atheism and genocide - what other data would back that up?!
@GuerrillaSauce Hitler was not a Christian. The Bible says to love our neighbors as well as our enemies. I don't think this was ever part of Nazi ideology. Just because someone mentions God doesn't mean they're doing God's will. To assume so would be a massive stretch. Other data? Well, the Soviet Union did not respect human life and murdered millions. What good has atheism or communism accomplished in the world? It has brought nothing but misery and bloodshed. I'm sorry but it's true.
Of course I don't assume Hitler was 'doing God's will' - to do so I would first have to a) assume there is a god b) assume I know what it wants. I don't. I was saying that's what he said - do you make up the rules on who's a Christian? Can't we all decide for ourselves?. But that's beside the point; now you're equating atheism with communism...
I can't be bothered with you anymore - I'll just leave you to ponder why the most secular countries have the best quality of life.
@GuerrillaSauce No, of course I don't make the rules on who's a Christian. God's word will be the judge of that. However, it seems you do not believe in God or His word. And if that's what you believe then that's fine with me even though we would disagree. Also, I was not equating communism with atheism although communism is built on the premise that there is no God. Right? I've been to China and they don't let you talk openly about God. Neither do they enjoy a better quality of life.
@ryathoma 85% of swedes are either agnostic or atheist, yet they maintain a civil society and have higher living standards than the united states. You do not need to believe in God to have a moral and productive society.
@leafkill9 You make a good point. However, Sweden and most of Europe enjoys such a high standard of living because we saved them from oppression. The United States and it's founding principles are still the world's best and brightest hope for freedom, not Sweden or Europe.
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time." (Thomas Jefferson)
@ryathoma The founding principles of the United States were a product of secular intellect. For 1500 years Christianity contributed little to social order, in fact the christian religion was oppressive, society remained static. It was only during the enlightenment that we began to thoroughly question the social order of society and lay the groundwork for revolution. Believing in God is not the problem, believing in a specific religion is a problem.
@ryathoma Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
@leafkill9 All religions are not good for you. I will gladly concede that point, some forms of religion are pathological - they damage people. However, I think there is a real need for a discussion about what is pathological and what is normal. You are correct when you say that religion has done much damage in history. But we need to go beyond that and investigate what is normal and what is fanatical. Failure to differentiate between the two has led many to atheism and that is unfortunate.
bullshit.. sweden would have a high standard of living no matter what the outcome of wwII would have been.. the nazis loved sweden.. so it wouldnt have made any diference at all if germany won wwII.. there would just be a rought ime for jews..
@ryathoma wrote "The God of the Bible is NOT the god of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis."
That is your opinion. Your interpretation. And therein lies one of the great flaws of religion. Everyone has a slightly different take on what it all means, but everyone is so damn sure that THEIR way is the right way. Everyone else can just go to hell. Literally.
@rmcdaniel423 Well, I know this much...Adolf Hitler forbid people from having a Bible and those that did were sent to concentration camps and gased. The Nazis burned all kinds of books INCLUDING the Bible. Adolf Hitler was vehemently opposed to the Judeo-Christian God and killed over 6 million Jews! This is not just my opinion, this is history. Maybe you should try studying it sometime.
@ryathoma "Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." --Mein Kampf
Whether he worshiped the same god as you, a different god, or no god, is completely irrelevant. The holocaust didn't happen because of atheism. It happened because weak people followed the will of a psychotic man.
"I never accept to belong to a group that invites me." Grouch Marx. Why people are so eager to be a part of something? Why they can't deal with their own conclusions and be proud of it? Atheists, New-Atheists, New-World-Atheists, soft power atheists, etc...
Hitler was an occultist, and this has been documented to the point that there's no doubt. That Hitler appealed to religionists isn't surprising because Obama, most likely an atheist, also appeals to religion when it suits him. For those who want to know what Beck believes, watch him. If anything, he's eminently honest, and he has unfailing integrity. I'd trust my kid with him any day. I don't think I'd trust my cat with Hitler.
@MuzzleBlast357 Youd trust your kid with someone because theyre on t.v.? and u probably want Hugh Laurie to be your doctor right. and youre glad that Kiefer Sutherland is protecting us from terrorism. U my friend are a great American
@acfacf4321: Yes, and the fact that Poland attacked first. It's a mass speech asshole. Mein Kampf was out of the markert right after he came from Italy. Mussolini said: "For the bright one, religion is a lie. For the stupid one, religion is the true. For the SMART one, religion is USEFUL." He is wide-open "skeptic" many times in the first chapter. Wtf, how can you be so lazy? Obviously it don't clear up anything.
@strattfordcrass - First of all, you misquoted... the final line is "For the POWERFUL, religion is useful." Second, by your logic are you saying that one who uses religion for their own benefit is or isn't religious? Would you say the same if an atheist were to somehow use their atheism for power.... that they're not really an atheist, they're just using it for a means?? Finally, try making a point without resorting to immature, personal attacks.
@acfacf4321: "Would you say the same if an atheist were to somehow use their atheism for power?" I think Atheism is an empty term updated for the means of those "new-atheists". If you accept the "Universal Human Rights" your are a Christian. If you accept that no country in the west are fundamentalist (not the original mean of the term, created by Protestants, but the one refereed to Islamic countries), if you don't agree that Christianity is a political system, the same.
@acfacf4321 Coca Cola is powerful too but FULL OF SHIT! Just because you got a few people believe the absolute bullshit that Jo Smith sucked out his ass doesn't make it true, not Coca Cola healthy.
Morons are Mormons and the evidence shows it...Glen Beck is a good judge, yeah right...he was a druggy since birth and now he is the one to figure it all out...against scientific evidence...sure. Fuck Mormons and fuck Glen Beck!!!
Yeah, probably not, but, a smart person (hitler was smart as fuck, if crazy as fuck) knows that god is a strong tool to bend the will and the knees of the weak. Control, baby, yeaaa.

xaviqaz 4 months ago
@xaviqaz And yes, we CAN blame many people. I made that EXPLICITLY clear when I said that there were multiple factors that influenced the rise of Naziism. I simply argued that religion, particularly the main sects of Christianity, happened to be ONE of those factors, and you're adamantly denying that despite clear evidence that it was the case.
I'm not blaming religion alone; I'm saying that it was simply one of the more prominent factors. To argue otherwise is simply wrong.
GrantRants 4 months ago
@GrantRants It was not a prominent factor. You cannot give a proof other than quoting Hitler's references to the Providence. Very weak.
xaviqaz 4 months ago
@xaviqaz I can give proof of Hitler's writings and words, the religious mindset of the Third Reich Germans, the support of Catholics and Protestants abroad, the long history of violence perpetuated in the same vein against European Jews, the German Protestant origins of institutionalized anti-semitism, the effect it had on German culture through philosophy and music and art, and the moral/ethical support it gave to people who read it the right way (and more). Please stop being a loony.
GrantRants 4 months ago
@GrantRants Very weak points
xaviqaz 4 months ago
@xaviqaz Your opinion on the matter is unfounded and a tad silly. That being said, since you refuse to acknowledge the obvious fact that religious dogma was a factor in the development of Third Reich behavior--and because it's useless to argue with people on Youtube--I do believe I'm done. All you've done to counter me is say "Nuh-uh becuz I sed so", and I don't much care to waste any more time on you. Good day, sir.
GrantRants 4 months ago
@xaviqaz What else do you need besides Hitler saying it and people agreeing with that? I mean how is that not proof and how is that weak?
darththeo 2 months ago
@GrantRants By the way, the nazi party had its worse results in the predominatly catholic areas (south and west)
xaviqaz 4 months ago
@xaviqaz What are you even talking about now? I honestly don't know what you mean by "worse results". Furthermore, how does that even remotely effect the fact that religious doctrine had a noticeable part to play in Nazi ideology and the general behavior of the Third Reich?
GrantRants 4 months ago
@xaviqaz Once again, I will not blame religion entirely for the rise of the Nazis. Much of their power did come from international instability and reparation damage from the first World War, and much of their general fascism was there simply because it was a good way to motivate crowds. But it's absolutely verifiable that the pseudo-eugenics policies they enacted had strong Protestant roots and were religiously condoned for centuries. Hitler's genocides absolutely had religious tenets to them.

Read ebook, 'God Stopping A Nuclear War', 99 cents if you can afford it.
The recent black rioting in the UK explained and predicted. Flash mobs in America. Muslim sucide bombers. The rise of China and Wall Street corruption.
Dawkins might be a front to hide the truth.

Regards
1Skeptik1 6 months ago
@1Skeptik1 Most athiests and agnostics were still raised in Christian househoulds and understand that they need to be on good behavior to prove eveyone wrong. They're still scared of the judicial system, but you will see higher rates of crime in their children and grandchildren who didn't have the same religous experiences as their parents or grandparents.
gdawn6812 6 months ago
@gdawn6812 I agree, most are raised in a "Christian" home but question the second part of your assertion? I attempt to be open minded, can you refer to any study to support the atheist children assertion? Perhaps "men of reason" (as opposed to men of faith) avoid prison as they tend to be better educated and and score higher on aptitude profiles then do the faithful? If we refuse to think for ourselves there is always someone close by to do so, usually for a fee. As for Seneca? Regards

@lanceawatt 80% poppycock!! Obviously you don't or won't understand what being a catholic means. It means the exact opposite of what the Nazis and Communists did! 334286 10 months ago
I'm sorry but it's true.
lanceawatt 10 months ago
@lanceawatt There's no need to apologise. Those 'facts' don't represent the true picture, The official line was that they supported the Nazis. By threat. Each European nation had an established church that received both physical and financial support from the state and religious groups fought with fervor over whose interpretation of scripture was correct.

this is off topic, but just because Hitler was a christian doesn't really prove anything except he was ridiculously clever and smart enough to know that religion makes an excellent tool when controlling others.

And then, when you look at his actions - you KNOW he was not smart at all (especially if you compare them to the gleams of common sense in his words),,,

rest assured people like beck are not in it for the greater good of you or I. there is a underlying plan in the works. thankfully in america we can keep people like beck from being in any kind of power.
blue03r6 1 year ago
I see all kinds of similarities of hitler's rise in glenn beck's popularity.
they both give speeches of propaganda, they both want to unite their "people" or restore honor as he calls it, they both didn't/don't hold political office, they both rose to power the most during a depression, and they both talk endlessly about how god is on their side and they both talk neg about the president and others in power.
hitler started the nazi party, beck helped spread the word for the tea party.

ryathoma 1 year ago
@ryathoma How so? Did the bible feature a different god 70 years ago?
What danger arises from atheism or materialism?
I'd love to hear the reasoning behind your comment.
GuerrillaSauce 1 year ago
@GuerrillaSauce Adolf Hitler and the Nazis did everything they could to eliminate the Judeo-Christian God, the God of the Bible. He killed over 6 million Jews! Have you ever heard of the Holocaust? Don't tell me there's no danger in atheism and materialism.
ryathoma 1 year ago
@ryathoma
The biblical God was fond of a bit of genocide.
GuerrillaSauce 1 year ago
@GuerrillaSauce Hitler was not a Christian. The Bible says to love our neighbors as well as our enemies. I don't think this was ever part of Nazi ideology. Just because someone mentions God doesn't mean they're doing God's will. To assume so would be a massive stretch. Other data? Well, the Soviet Union did not respect human life and murdered millions. What good has atheism or communism accomplished in the world? It has brought nothing but misery and bloodshed. I'm sorry but it's true.
ryathoma 1 year ago
@ryathoma
GuerrillaSauce 1 year ago
@GuerrillaSauce No, of course I don't make the rules on who's a Christian. God's word will be the judge of that. However, it seems you do not believe in God or His word. And if that's what you believe then that's fine with me even though we would disagree. Also, I was not equating communism with atheism although communism is built on the premise that there is no God. Right? I've been to China and they don't let you talk openly about God. Neither do they enjoy a better quality of life.

@ryathoma 85% of swedes are either agnostic or atheist, yet they maintain a civil society and have higher living standards than the united states. You do not need to believe in God to have a moral and productive society.
leafkill9 1 year ago 3
@leafkill9 You make a good point. However, Sweden and most of Europe enjoys such a high standard of living because we saved them from oppression. The United States and it's founding principles are still the world's best and brightest hope for freedom, not Sweden or Europe.
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time." (Thomas Jefferson)
ryathoma 1 year ago
@ryathoma The founding principles of the United States were a product of secular intellect. For 1500 years Christianity contributed little to social order, in fact the christian religion was oppressive, society remained static. It was only during the enlightenment that we began to thoroughly question the social order of society and lay the groundwork for revolution. Believing in God is not the problem, believing in a specific religion is a problem.
leafkill9 1 year ago
@ryathoma Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782
leafkill9 1 year ago

I love how soft spoken and positive Richard Dawkins voice sounds.

God is dead. Too bad his lackeys are still frothing at the mouth.

Just as an aside.... I hope this clears up the false notion that Hitler was an atheist. Thank you.

Obviously it don't clear up anything.
strattfordcrass 1 year ago
