I thought I made it clear that the cards would be different. Never mind :)
the readers interpretations may be similer I can't garentee that.
I asked nick for a reading based on another reading I had recently and the result was similer.
I think if you did a test like that the resut wuld be non conclusive. becase each reader may have different way's of doing things, may use different types of cards, and some may just be simply better than others.
I'm interested in how these cards work. i.e do they predict future events or actually cause future events?
For example if you did a reading for me then immediately shuffled the deck to do another reading for me then obviously it would be totally different the second time.
Would this mean the 1st reading was wrong or would it mean the 2nd reading had now altered future events thus invalidating the 1st reading?
To me the cards are merly a projection on what the future may be if you follow a certain path no future is set in stone, But generally the way you should see it is a way to comtemplate on an issue.
"For example if you did a reading for me then immediately shuffled the deck to do another reading for me then obviously it would be totally different the second time"
Not nesisarly obviously the cards should be differnt the second time (but look t the reading on my page!)..
... but that dosen't mean the message is different. I could simply be the same message but a different angle on it also if you havn't asked a question it could mearly be talking about a different issue in your life. Somtimes i could do two readings on the a=same question and even thoguh the cards come out different the way the message is going is simmiler. For example if the conculsion is positive it will also be positive in the second reading. generally speaking. conversly just see it as fun.:)
Well this would be quite easy to test. Get the same person to ask 10 tarot readers the same question on the same day in a controlled test. You seem to think all the results would be the same. I contend otherwise. Or do you mean the cards would all be different but the readers interpretations would be similar? If so the need for the cards themselves would seem rather pointless.
the cards arn't pointless espessialy if you read for yourself because it could be seen as a visual stimulation tool to provoke thought. They can be usful for lateral thinking.
with thats said it would be intresting to do somthing like that just to see what would happen.

It is not the cards that give the reading, but the reader.
