oh nuanced ...great word to describe the devil. Does the bible even describe the devil as being more 'nuanced' lol? just teach straight from the scriptures dude. keep it simple for your simple audience.
why doesnt he just teach? why does he always have to belittle people in his audience ..some of u think youre smart some of you think youre really smart, some of you think youre wise ..OK well what do u think u are then?
@cjttruelife He's not insulting at all, he's being REAL. -- smugness is out there in epidemic proportions. Pride comes before a fall for sure. Satan got kicked out for pride.
The connection between the New Age spiritual belief in evolution; 2012 Ascension into 5D and the age-old lie told to Eve in the Garden could not be more evident.
Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then YOUR EYES SHALL BE OPENED[Enlightened], and YE SHALL BE AS GODS[evolution/reincarnation], knowing good and evil.
Lucifer, the "light-bearer", the 'serpent' [Shining One] beguiled Eve to partake of GNOSIS; spiritual knowledge; the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
If Satan is so much smarter than you are then how do you know your theology is correct? Maybe Satan gave you the kind of belief in Jesus that you have so that when you go before Jesus, he will reject you. Maybe what you call "religion" where you need works along with your faith in Jesis is correct and Satan is decieving you into believing that faith in Jesus is sufficient (see James 2:24).
That's the basic problem with a belief in the supernatural. You can't be sure of anything.
@k12rising Nope, not even those. Snakes don't have lips, which are necessary for properly enunciating words. The tongue and teeth of snakes are also inadequately formed for creating vowels and consonants. More importantly, snakes do not possess a larynx (vocal chords), which is an organ that only exists in mammals. Lastly, snakes lack a cerebral cortex: the part of the brain that coordinates the lips, tongue, teeth, and vocal chords to produce speech. So you're SOL on all counts. Sorry.
@3VOLution3NO So how would you interpret Geneis 3:14? So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
@perplexedmoth No idea where that is supposed to take us, but okay. It's not the way of Satan to destroy, though. That's the christian God's idea for judgement day.
@natbrain that's pretty good, never thought of that. You are right in saying that everything was created for the glory of God. I think that's a pretty good theory but we will know for sure when when we meet Jesus
Satan is smarter, this is why you need to listen to ME , through which God speaks
But i got i question though:
If Satan deceives us, why does God allow it?
I mean if its against Gods will then Satan cant do anything since he would be stronger then God, Satan could do only the things God allows , so basically he would be doing His will in the end. What is the point of satan then, is he like a guy that gets blamed for gods dirty work?
@niinja2 Satan is NOT more powerful than God. You ask "where is the proof?"
Look at Jesus. He rose from the dead. If satan were more powerful than God, that wouldn't have happened.
And really, nobody knows why God allows Satan to deceive us. Only God knows why. It's very important that we dont take our 3 pound fallen brains and try to judge God. Have you ever thought that God may know something that you dont? it's important to trust God in this life. We will know in heaven.
satan is smart enough to twist and corrupt your mind in ways to use thee knownledge youved gather through out your life and ask questions like those..
or satan simply does not exist because a loving god has no use for him, and if satan does exist i should not be feared he decieves me because a loving god is taking care of that.
how do you know which one of us is right?
i mean whatever i say or ask you can always say "its satan" and in this way protect from questioning whatever beliefs you want to keep... what if your wrong?
what if its not satan and your just preventing yourself from learning?
@niinja2 dude, you're missing something. It is the nature of man to sin. You see, your theory is if God is in control, Satan will never be able to make you sin. That's not true. Satan is a million times more powerful than you are. By saying if Satan tempts us, it's because God is allowing it, it's saying it's God's fault we're being tempted, but James said If you're tempting, DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT'S GOD'S FAULT. Temptation comes from within, it's our fault if we're tempted. And think about this:
@niinja2 if we never sinned again, then why did Jesus die on the cross? If God made it so we never sinned ever again because He made it so Satan could never tempt us and we ourselves couldn't bring ourselves into temptation, then Jesus's death had no purpose. He died for our sins, but if it were possible to make it so we never sinned, his death was for naught. And if we never sinned, we'd have no need for Jesus. And so, even though we live in sin, it makes us run to Jesus. That's what God wants.
@niinja2 if you still have a question about why God doesn't just kill Satan...I mean, it's a legit question, and I'm sure many Christians have the same question. I was watching a John Piper video about this. John Piper says that God doesn't just destroy Satan now because it brings God more glory to suffer for Christ than for God to just shoot Satan in the head and get rid of him. In following God, Satan is going to make us suffer, and God will allow it because it brings God more glory.
replace the word God with the word Bob, and the word satan with the word Steve.
Bob is basically allowing Steve to torture us so Bob can be more important once when he does take care of Steve. Its not about us, its about Bob. Do you think Bob is a nice guy?
@niinja2 well, does it mean we should get glory? We didn't DO anything! Notice, when God allows us suffer, it's to make us closer to Him. How? It requires that we trust Jesus that "He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" I Corinthians 10:13 says. By trusting Him, when Jesus shows His power by giving us a reward in the end, and Him giving us the power to endure, we see all the more how faithful He is. We don't do anything. It's all the work of God through us.
@niinja2 When Christ takes something away from us, He wants us to trust Him, and He rewards us with something infinitely times better in heaven! Is not God the one who created us? Is not God the one who loved us enough, that, though we were lost in sin and complete enemies of Him, He sent His son Jesus to die for us? Is He not the one who saves? Is He not the one who gives us strength to endure tribulation and persecution? That being said, is it not clear He is the one that does all the work?
@niinja2 you see...all these tests and tribulation God allows so we can grow closer and stronger in Christ, in order that we may get something so much better! It shows that God does all things for the good of those who love Him.
@niinja2 no, we should not be afraid of Satan, because God is more powerful that Satan is, and if we have the Holy Spirit, we don't have to be afraid. I wouldn't say that Satan is a puppet though. But you gotta be careful though. We need to be able to discern what is of God and what is of Satan. Satan is trying to defeat us. Satan can, he is stronger than we are. Satan isn't the only one that makes people suffer. I believe that God does make people suffer too.
@niinja2 God knows what's going to happen in the future. It doesn't catch Him off guard when something happens. God may be the one who makes people suffer, and He does that to bring His children closer to Him. But Satan tries to hurt us, and God may allow Satan to hurt us, or He may not; God knows our limits. Suffering makes us run to Jesus, regardless of who it's from. There is suffering in every Christians life, most simple of which is if people hate them for telling others of Jesus.
@niinja2 to raise awareness of Satan. If something is this bad and dangerous, you would want people to know about it so that they know what to do when Satan attacks the person and tries to get people to believe a lie, as Satan is "the father of lies". God is more powerful, but Satan is more powerful than we are. We need to know this so we know how to deal with Satan, and that he can cause spiritual warfare. It's definitely a scary subject, but "if God is for us, then who can be against us?"
You said we should not be afraid of satan. How is something we should not be afraid of bad and dangerous? I mean satan is powerfull then we are but dont we have god to protect us?
"you would want people to know about it so that they know what to do when Satan attacks the person and tries to get people to believe a lie"
well how do you know your not decieved by satan that he is decieving someone while he is actually decieving you?
@niinja2 that's actually a good question. Here's how you do it: you resort to God's Word. What does the Bible say about it? If it doesn't agree with the Bible or the example of Jesus, don't listen to it. That's a lot easier said than done. Now, we don't need to be afraid of Satan because we can trust Jesus, but Satan can still mess with our head. That's when Satan gets really dangerous. Once he gets us to believe a lie, he's already got us almost under his control.
@niinja2 the one that is right is the one that is accurate to the Bible. If a denomination has beliefs that don't agree with the Bible, don't go with it. It's possible to just be "Christian." We don't have to be in a sect. Just obey the Bible, and believe what the Bible says as it is the final arbiter as to what sort of "Christian" beliefs are correct and incorrect. We have the habit of not taking the Bible literally and implying stuff that the Bible doesn't say.
@niinja2 I don't want this to get into an argumentative state. If that's where it's going, let this be the last comment. The Bible also says obey your authorities, and stoning your child is child abuse right? And stoning your child is killing your child, not disciplining it. Second, God wants us to trust Him. Now you could take that any way, you can ask a billion questions on that, but I'll just pray that God opens your eyes to the truth. I used to be blind spiritually, but God opened my eyes.
@niinja2 there's nothing wrong with spanking a child.Jesus said in Luke 17:2 about the one who causes children to sin: "It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin." In Colossians, it also talks about fathers not disciplining children to the point they become discouraged: Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged."
if your going to folow the bible litteraly you should do as the passage says and bash the child with the stone , if your going to not to take it litteraly then you will use context with other parts of the bible like you are doing now. But YOU ARE NOT taking the bible litteraly.
@niinja2 in Proverbs 13:24 "Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them." Is "careful to discipline them. That doesn't mean break every bone in their body. God chooses who will be saved. Unless God chooses a person, they will NEVER come to Christ, because all humans are naturally God hating and slaves to sin and we would've never gotten out of our spiritual blindness to see we are sinners, and we would have never repented.
"God protects you is by warning you. How can you say that warning you and making sure you are aware of something as dangerous as the devil isn't loving?"
why does god just dont destroy something dangeorus as the devil? god warns, me.. how do i now what is from the devil? the bible tells me so? do you understand that you can twist the meaning of the "word of god" as people often do to mean what they want it to mean , and say the devil is what they say is the devil.
@niinja2 third, it is not common sense. God protects Christians I believe. Psalm 5:5 "God hates all evildoers." Evildoers aren't just sinners. They're basically non-Christians. They're the people that live life in sin, they may or may not know it, and even if they know it, they don't care and unrepentant and they continue to live in sin. Those are the people that Psalm is talking about. Those people who are unrepentant. God will protect his children, but if you aren't His child...
@niinja2 but I say use wisdom and take the Bible as to what it says. The only way one can truly understand the Bible is if the person loves Jesus. Jesus criticized the religious people, basically saying "You guys spend all day studying my Word, and you guys have no idea what it means, because you don't love me." I'm telling you, Christ will change your life. There's no problem with having questions, but the only hope we have in knowing anything about God is what he chooses to reveal to us.
@niinja2 now, if Satan is stronger than we are, don't we have God to protect us? Now, that's a question that I don't fully know the answer to. I mean, I feel like I should know, but here's my best shot: It's the fact that Satan is stronger than we are that he's able to mess with us, and he wins sometimes because of the fact that some fail to trust Jesus and listen to Jesus. Now what I'm about to say, you might have questions for: the fact is HE never strays away from US. WE stray away from HIM.
@niinja2 He is, but that would also be to say that Jesus would protect us from sinning as well, right? No, because if that was so, Jesus's death would mean nothing. It's not that Jesus doesn't protect us, it's that I believe He gives us the strength to overcome the devil, but it all goes back to the fact that Satan is stronger than us. Satan and God are two independent beings. God allows Satan to do stuff, He already knows Satan going to get destroyed.
@niinja2 here's the thing. We take it as our right that God should protect us, but remember, we CHOSE to sin against a holy God. So all that's left for us is God's wrath. God doesn't have to protect us. In fact, if it weren't for Jesus, God WOULDN'T protect us because we are full of sin and we don't deserve anything but God's perfectly just anger. It's not that if we don't listen to Jesus, he doesn't protect us. It's BECAUSE of Jesus that we are protected by God at all.
@niinja2 It's the concept of free will. God lets us do what we want. He chose me to be saved. Predestination. God allows all things for the good of those who love Him. Understand that. If God didn't allow us to sin, He would not have gotten the chance to glorify His just attributes, and to glorify His wrath and anger. Then He ultimately wouldn't have gotten the chance to show His love and justice by sending Jesus to die on the cross. The whole theme of the Bible is having glory go to God.
"It's the concept of free will. God lets us do what we want. He chose me to be saved. Predestination"
this is contradictory, i mean did God let you chose or he chose for you? Predestined you to be saved?
and i really do not understand what does free will or our choices have to do with this, if God loves us unconditionally ,no matter what we do against God, He will not let the devil decive us. And there is no reason to be afraid of the devil or scare people with this guy.
@niinja2 then you would have the logic: if God loves us unconditionally, he wouldn't let us suffer either. Hey, the way God protects you is by warning you. How can you say that warning you and making sure you are aware of something as dangerous as the devil isn't loving? Free will in terms of God might let us choose whether we want to resist sin, or to fall and to sin. Am I still not making sense to you? God chooses who he wants to be his children, but we are free to choose what we want.
"if God loves us unconditionally, he wouldn't let us suffer either"
well this brings into question gods unquestionable love , not the protection from the devil.
"the way God protects you is by warning you"
it only says there is a devil, but how do i know what is exactly from the devil? Is techno music from the devil? How do i know? And how do i LITTERALY trust the book that says light was created on the first and sun on the fourth day?
@niinja2 let me explain this to you. Free will is shown by allowing people to do what they want. Predestination is shown when God gives people the desire to be saved, where God gives people a change of heart so that the person wants to follow Him. Without God, that change of heart and salvation would've never happened. Free will is the thing where people aren't forced to come to Jesus. Jesus doesn't force you to come to Him, it terms of, you don't want to have anything to do with God but
@niinja2 i say this with as much love as I can muster, as a Christian, but if you're just here to prove Christians wrong and argue and look for the faults of Christianity, my job is done here. I'm heartbroken to here that it seems like all you ever want to do is just find fault and prove that you're right rather than asking questions so things make more sense so that you may believe. I'll leave it up to God now, and I'll pray for you. Just so you know, God chooses not to reveal certain things
@niinja2 to us, because it's not time for us to know yet. God allows Satan to do whatever he wants because the time has not yet come for God to defeat Satan and throw him into the lake of fire. Now, that's in Revelation. And about stoning your children: that is the old law, don't take it out of context. It was given to the Jews specifically. Jesus died for sins, and following Him is the new law. That's why He said you don't put old laws to new laws, lest everything get worse.
@niinja2 God has the power to save, and I'll pray for you. But I think I have to let you go if all you're going to do is find fault and try to argue that you're right, because frankly, arguing doesn't get us anywhere. It doesn't show you're right, and it doesn't get you any closer to believing the Word, so, if all you're going to do is quote the crap out of me and find fault, just stop okay? Don't comment if that's all you're gonna do. It's useless. Again, I said that with as much love possible.
i see your authority is the bible,i respect that. Im questioning the bible because im not going to bet my life on a book and set of ideas that make no logical sense to me, like fear from the devil... or literall interpretation that makes no sense with knowledge we posses today.
I think neither should you, your life is to valuable to be risked just on faith, not hard evidence. But its yours, do with it as you want. I would pray for you, if i thought it would do any good, good luck
@niinja2 there actually have been times where people have died during surgery and have come back to life in the operation. Seems impossible right, but they're called heaven and hell testimonies. There are people who have not been saved, died, went to hell, and spoke of the horrid experiences. Now, these people who aren't Christian you would probably believe more. All the people who weren't Christian went to hell and spoke of the same thing.
@niinja2 well, google Heaven and Hell testimonies. I think on the first hit, you will see that the non-Christians talk about hell, and the Christians talk about heaven.
@niinja2 hey, well, i've seen non-Christian priests. I mean, Christianity, I might start something here, but let's just stay on the topic of NDE's for the sake of preventing going into a never-ending argument like we did for the past few days, but anyway, Christianity is a love relationship with the God who created them. Oddly enough, Christ wasn't religious. As a matter of fact, He said to religious people, "Your father is the devil." Or, "You mom shagged the devil" is what He said.
@niinja2 but a lot of priests are religious, but they aren't Christian, in terms of, they don't love Jesus. I mean, if you hang out with a real Christian (not saying I'm not a real Christian, but most Christians these days sadly don't live any different than the average non-Christian, I'm brokenhearted about it), they're actually fun to hang out with. Now they love God and they love you and their honest, but religious people are no fun to be with. They're too serious, you know what I mean?
@niinja2 I mean, priests just do religious duties, and they strictly follow papal rules and stuff, but they don't love Jesus, that's why they went to hell. They're weren't Christian, they were just strictly and extremely religious.
one priest said what god said to him: you were a priest for you for 10 years, not be a priest for me
i dont think its the problem they are religious , its the problem that they are selfish, and selfish christian cna go to hell, and non selfish person can go to heaven no matter if he is not a christian.
there was a priest which went to hell and said to god " im one of yours " , it does not matter if someone says he loves jesus, it comes down to do you love people.
@niinja2 um...no...it doesn't come down to loving people. It comes down to loving Jesus. Selfish people can go to heaven. However, if they don't repent and give their lives to Jesus, they aren't saved, so they aren't going to heaven. You see, in loving Jesus, you obey Him, and so because He said "love your neighbor as yourself" you do. But that's the SECOND most important commandment. The FIRST is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength."
@niinja2 it's about the strength of Jesus though. By His grace and mercy, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, a person can be more humble. You see, the solution to pride isn't humility, because if a person says "I'm prideful, so I'm going to try to be more humble." You see the person is looking to themselves for the ability to be humble, and that's pride. The solution to humility is Jesus. You start thinking of being like Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, who changes people.
God does things for reason, i dn what i would do if i was shown hell as NDE. but, i given promise that i have no need to fear and fall into death(sin).
@niinja2 the people who were Christians spoke of heaven. they talked about glory and amazing things they saw in heaven. You might not believe this, but, just trying to make some sense. I believe predestination in terms of this: so, it's not God's fault anyone goes to heaven, because they choose to reject God. So think of it this way: Anyone can come to Christ and be saved (free will), but only those whom God chooses to be saved decide to come to Christ (free will with predestination).
@niinja2 well, what I meant about taking the Bible literally...I phrased it wrong I guess. I meant that too many people try to find and imply so much stuff about some verses in the Bible in an attempt to find the meaning of it, that they miss the meaning. Like, people too often, imply things that are not said - e.g. it doesn't say this, so that means this...you know what I mean? Anyway, I think the idea that bad things should only have to bad people is wrong. That's probably where we're confused
@niinja2 perhaps I forgot to add something. So, the laws that are in the old testament apply to today. I mean, a lot of the OT laws are present in the New Testaments laws, like, don't kill anyone in the OT, but Jesus goes one further and says, just by hating someone you've already killed them in your heart, which Jesus speaks against. So, the OT law, which is to stay until all the scriptures are fulfilled, according to matthew, does bind to today, but the NT laws have a lot of OT laws in them.
@niinja2 but, Jesus still forces you to become a believer. It's not like that. We choose our way, and when God opens the eyes of the person, they believe, and they are given a change of heart to want to follow God. That way, unbelievers can't blame God for not believing, because those who choose not to believe DECIDE THEMSELVES they want to continue rejecting God, even if someone preaches the Word to them and the Holy Spirit speaks. Those who reject the message reject God. There's no excuse.
"because those who choose not to believe DECIDE THEMSELVES they want to continue rejecting God"
why would someone reject god if god put the desire in his heart to chose him, you said free will is choosing what you want, they want to chose what they desire, god put the desire in their heart, why would they not chose god unless he did not do so?
@niinja2 but remember, God doesn't have to love us. He chooses to. And there is evil in the world. And as humans, we are slaves to sin, which is ultimately a slave to the devil, or the world no? Jesus died to set us free. But we are constantly under slavery to sin. Try to live your life without ever sinning again. Not gonna happen. That's not to say Jesus died for nothing. He put sin to death so we might be seen as righteous in the eyes of the Father, and that we might nail sin to the cross.
"but remember, God doesn't have to love us. He chooses to."
exactly, he does not have to , but he chooses to because its his nature, and its nature and common sense that you protect people you love from the devil.
god lets us do what we want but he does not let the devil interfere with us unless its His will. In any case:
WE SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF THE DEVIL BECAUSE HE CANT DO NOTHING TO US, AND IF HE DOES ITS GODS WILL.
@niinja2 that's why we are subject to evil and the devil. Because BY NATURE, we are evil and are naturally depraved apart from the saving grave of God, and are naturally subject to the devil.
@niinja2 God didn't say that this Christian life would be easy. It would be hard. But God does all things for the good of those who love Him, and God will allow Satan to make us suffer because God promises a hard life, so that in the end, we would be closer to God and that God could give us a reward in the end.
@beastyman116 I have a theory why God allowed man to sin, or to fall. You see, the whole purpose that God is trying to do is to glorify Himself. That's why He made humans, to glorify Him. If God didn't allow us to sin, what glory would that have brought to Him? By allowing us to sin, He was able to glorify His anger, His wrath, and His justice and holiness. Our sin would then require Jesus to die, and that, more than anything, glorifies God's love, His mercy, and His grace.
About a month ago, I was debating with a fellow. He played the "God is evil", while I opposed. In the end, I had to stop because I realized what he was convincing me was wrong (despite that it made logical sense). He Pseudo-Concensed me that "Because Adam and Eve didn't know before they sinned what evil was, then God is held responsible for their sin (like a parent responsible for their child)". This made me think of a very evil thought. (cont 2b)
B) Now assuming that he was right, then this would mean that only people who "know right from wrong" can be held responsible for the people who do not. Standing on this thought, sadly, I had to conclude that the only way to get rid of "evil" was to get rid of everyone who "knew right from wrong" (myself and him included). If we do so, then "evil" (by his definition) would be eliminated. No one could be held responsible for "evil" because "evil" would not be known. (cont 2c)
c) Instead of continuing like that, I chose to leave. Why? Because if I said that, then the first thing he'd do was call me "evil". Then I'd only have to say, "because you're someone who knows "good and evil", and these thoughts came from you, so we must both be evil."
I'd win with a conclusion that I (nor any sane man) would not truly believe in. "to destroy all who know good and evil." (cont 2d)
d) However, this would mean that: C.S. Lewis's words ring true. Even if people don't know what good or evil was, that doesn't mean that they don't exist. And just because there's no one to hold you responsible (even yourself since you don't know what you're doing is evil), doesn't mean that you are not evil either. I firmly believe that Good is like Light, while Evil is like Shadows. Evil can not exist unless there's a "light" to define it with. So therefore, God (a being > Man) must exist.
Yes satan is soo smart/ he created religion so that the masses would be tricked in woreshipping him, lol.... diidnt think he was that smart did ya/ wake up ppl/ religion is a front for evil
Now let me explain, by asking a few questions as proposed by C. S. Lewis in his "The Problem with Pain". If there is no god/religion, then by what means do we define "good" or "evil"? C.S. Lewis asked himself these questions while he was an atheist."My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? " He came to the inevitable conclusion that if there must be a God to define evil by creating "Good".
@Sortsitar i don't think Satan was created with the nature to oppose God... Satan chose not to worship, and developed his own twisted view that he should receive glory.
As for the world... When Adam sinned, sin was released into the world as well. The crown of Thorns Jesus wore, that was representative of the reconciliation of all things to under Jesus' feet, including creation (The world).
As for people in the world... dude, thats total free choice of that person.
"Such Pleasure took the Serpent to behold This Flourie Plat, the sweet recess of Eve Thus earlie, thus alone; her Heav'nly forme Angelic, but more soft, and Feminine, Her graceful Innocence, her every Aire Of gesture or lest action overawd His Malice, and with rapine sweet bereav'd His fierceness of the fierce intent it brought: That space the Evil one abstracted stood From his own evil, and for the time remaind Stupidly good..." - John Milton, Paradise Lost
Besides the fact that god does not exist the story in this work of fiction the bible that shows how Eve got Adam to disobey this god thing only goes to show that even then the woman was the Domme, If satan is smarter then QED satan is female.
the 'Original sin' is actually THE Original Sin. Pay attention to what the actual temptation was, and compare it to what Isaiah says about the Morning Star's iniquity....
Sure he managed to convince a third of the world that Jesus was the Messiah, and another quater that Muhammed was the final prophet of God and between the two of them they've been fucking things up for the rest of us for 2000 years.
@LukeOfTroy A house divided against itself cannot stand. Why would satan lead people to God (of the Bible specifically) who is good and faithful and wants to destroy Satan and evil? Why would satan be seeking his own end? I posit that God exists and is good and satan exists and is evil, and the two are against each other because there are indeed two factions one God who is benevolent and one satan who is malevolent. I'd make sure I would be on the proper side if I were you.
This guy is right. We are mere humans, made lower than the angels. This includes fallen angels, because as we all know, they were once perfect. Angels excel in strength, this includes intelligence. The smartest man in the world wouldn't have a chance against the dumbest angel, if there is such a thing.
Yes, Satan is smarter then most of you. He has to be to convince people to follow him or his other identity "GOD".. Basic art of war strategy to scare people into following the one who wishes to control or rule over by promises of freedom and eternal salvation.. No problems in heaven , candy and rainbows, no ones ever sad and you get to serve some thing/one forever. The best part is that you will do it willing. No fight, or fuss. Complete and utter control of your mind.. LOL. wake up sheeple..
@AwakeningMindz Well I follow God, not sure if you were talking about following him or Satan. But if you deny God then you are one of Satan's sheep sending you to the slaughter of hell. Good luck, LOL!
@Archer720 I follow no one, so good luck with your religious mind control god complex. Its worked for the last 6 thousand years why would people start thinking for themsleves now? ignorance is bliss for some i guess? peace brotha
The serpent is not to blame for mans stupidity, Man kinds inability to take responsibility for his own action has lead many of you to blame outside forces on your own misfortune. Trust me, Your not that important.
@AceSkepTik Hes not trying to scare anyone into submission hes trying to help people who think they can outsmart the devil by getting them off their high horses before they get hurt ok? And submission to what?
@FMLdoodez Submission to the cult of fear, known commonly as "religion". Even acknowledging you believe in a devil is submitting to the fear of made-up monsters that churches and religious leaders use to keep people in line.
@AceSkepTik So if you're scared of spiders or the dark you're submitting to the cult of fear and you believe in monsters? I am not afraid of the devil, I never even said this. I believe he is there it doesnt mean i fear him. About that last comment you made, even if churches and religious leaders did use "made-up monsters" to keep ppl in line, whats wrong with it if it works?
@FMLdoodez Spiders and the dark? No. An incredibly powerful demon who lives in the bowels of the earth and works day and night trying to get mankind to destroy itself, and rules over a domain of perpetual pain and suffering that you'll be cast into for all eternity of you don't adhere to the rules of the cult? Yes. Slight difference.
"What's wrong with it if it works"? Are you serious? In your mind there's nothing wrong with LYING to and scaring people to get them to do your bidding???
@AceSkepTik What i meant by whats wrong with it if it works is that if they were lying (which they arent) at least we know that ppl will try to be better ppl because of it so they will be making life better. (and dont seem so incredulous about the whole lying subject; the government lies, your teachers lie, even your mama lied to you about santa claus ok?)
@FMLdoodez You don't need to try and justify your warped beliefs by pretending to know what my parents and teachers said to me. If by your standards, lying is perfectly all right because it somehow "works", in your opinion, then that's your own personal dysfunction, not everyone else's. And certainly not mine. Making up stories to terrify people into submission is not acceptable behavior, no matter how quaint you try and make it sound. It's the textbook definition of terrorism.
@AceSkepTik i never said i thought it was right, i said what's wrong with it, asking you why you think the so-called "scaring ppl into submission" (of I dont know wat) is so wrong if thats wat the government does all the time with taxes and money etc. You think theyre lying about satan so i was simply saying since it isnt causing harm why dont you complain about stuff that does cause harm like the lying government.
@FMLdoodez I'm with you. If you have God in your heart, you're not afraid of the devil and that's how I feel. And I'm not afraid of facing God after I die. But AceSkepTik does and that's why he is trying to deny the Bible about scaring people into believe hell exist. God would not lie in his own book, or is Ace too stupid to realize that.
@AceSkepTik You've already committed the ultimate sin just now, blasphemy against God and his word which is unforgiven. So there is no doubt where you are going which leaves more room for us in heaven.
@AceSkepTik I am confused as to why you are watching this youtube video when you hate religion so much. If you're looking for a fight, please look somewhere else. I enjoy a good argument and if you disagree I will of course try to convert you, but when it turns to plain insults on my beliefs, it could, nowadays be called "politically incorrect". I'm not making fun of you for not believing in God or the Devil, so please don't make fun of me for doing so until you can prove God's non-existence.
@FMLdoodez You don't need to concern yourself with why I'm watching certain videos. And if you don't want a fight, don't come out of the blue at me and tell me I'm going to hell. As a matter of fact, you don't need to tell me anything about what to say or do. If you don't like what I say...GO AWAY. Nobody's forcing you to post these retarded comments. p.s. Go take a pill, ya freak!
@Archer720 I agree with you too, but one thing I don't agree with is being unkind to others no matter how mean they are to you. AceSkepTik doesn't believe in the Devil and I assume in God either, but God called us to make disciples of all nations, and to say that he is "unforgiven" or "it leaves more room for us" is a way to secure his belief that us Christians are conceited (which I'm sure you're not) and don't really care what happens to anyone who thinks the Bible is a fairytale.
Satan was more truthful than god in Genesis. He said that Adam would not die if he ate the fruit. God told Adam that he would surely die on the very same day if Adam ate the fruit. Who was the liar that day?
If Satan is so crafty and smart and the Great Deceiver, how do you know Satan didn't really write the bible to lead you away from the real god? Maybe Jesus is really Satan. After all, Hell was never mentioned in the OT, it was Jesus who told of Hell.
Adam did die didn't he? In fact god's plan for humans is that we would never ever die. Sin is the reason we die. It's a disconnect from god. Read your bible. God said nothing of Adam dying the "day" he ate the fruit.
@cablepanos God created Satan, God is smarter than satan. Adam did die, SPIRITUALLY. It says when Adam and Eve ate the fruit they died inside and they were broken from the relationship with God which is the worst way you can die. They also began to die physically (Adam and Eve were not destined to die at all but live with God eternally in the garden) and they were banned from the Garden of Eden and began to age (Adam died at age 900 and something).
@cablepanos The fact is Adam was simple minded and was misled, just like yourself, not understanding or believing in God. Adam eventually died not right after he ate the apple.
@Archer720 Hey hey now... That doesn't sound loving. Let's not judge those outside the church. The truth is we are all simple minded selfish beings. Which is why we need Jesus Christ in our lives. Pointing fingers, calling names, or judging people outside the church will not win people's hearts over. Only love can stand victorious... 1 Corinthians 5
The devil has bean defeated, you cant defeat him, but Christ has, that is if you are dead in him, then he becomes the savior, and he defeats the devil in us, Ro:8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Ro:8:3: For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
1Co:10:13: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Ro:8:13: For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

They're just too scared of the truth. It is a shame that so many people can be so pathetic and mindless, but their time can't last forever, and soon truth will be shown to the world.
You're the one scared of the truth. "Are you a king? Pilate asked Jesus"
Then Jesus responded how he often did - by questioning his questioner to reveal their motive.
"Are you asking this on your own or did others tell you about me?" ah ha!
Why yes He is a king - not only that but KING of kings and LORD of lords and He will return again in full glory. And when God shows up on the scene - oh I love this "earth and sky fled from His presence" Revelation 20:11
So I must be wrong because the book written by your god that proves your god is real tells you so. Well I really can't argue with that logic, there is no single scientific fact or piece of evidence to back me up here. Thankyou for showing me the truth with your unrefutable argument. I shall rethink my belief in eternal nothingness because Jesus is the ONE TRUE KING because a youtube comment told me so.
actually if you do your research Science backs the Bible up along with some of the most admired scientists that ever lived that after decades of trying to disprove God existed before dying admitted that the Bible and God were real... History backs the Bible up... Present times Back the Bible up... and you should study the Bible code... but really study it... then you can truly come to a conclusion as to weather the bible is real or not... not judging just sharing some info...
Science backs the Bible? Which part? The part which says the Earth is standing on pillars at its 4 corners? Or the part which says the dead will soon rise again? Or do you mean the part in which the universe was created in six days? Or possibly when a talking snake persuaded a rib woman to eat magic fruit? I appreciate your attempt to do what you think is educate me, but I have thought it through for a very long time and have reached this conclusion without ignorance clouding my vision.
Issac Newton, Robert Boyle, Albert Einstein, Max Planck , William Thomson Kelvin... amongst hundreds of Scientists... im talking about the real deal Scientists with High IQs... not "average" or "above average" IQslike Lab teachers or Science Professors that teach evolution at school (that still is yet to be proven and is still A theory) out of a book and when they misplace the book they go crazy not knowing what to teach... these men u should study then tell us how their research is wrong
that is just a few scientists you should research... i am studying all of that at this time to use in my bible studies thats why i know this for a fact... but there are hundreds more... Im not attacking you in any way... just sharing info... you sound like an educated man... person so lets have an educated and respectful discussion... thank you
Eh? Those scientists didn't back the Bible, they may have said that God exists, but that is irrelevant to what they studied. Evolution has been proved, it has more evidence than ANY other theory for how all of the species are in their current state. I am happy to explain it to you if you don't understand it :) I don't know what you were talking about in your second comment, it made very little sense. But yes, I am sorry for being agressive, I just find it hard to take fundamentalists seriously.

3VOLution3NO 1 month ago
If Satan is so much smarter than you are then how do you know your theology is correct? Maybe Satan gave you the kind of belief in Jesus that you have so that when you go before Jesus, he will reject you. Maybe what you call "religion" where you need works along with your faith in Jesis is correct and Satan is decieving you into believing that faith in Jesus is sufficient (see James 2:24).
That's the basic problem with a belief in the supernatural. You can't be sure of anything.

@vozuluzov super natural Possessed ones can.
k12rising 2 months ago
@k12rising Nope, not even those. Snakes don't have lips, which are necessary for properly enunciating words. The tongue and teeth of snakes are also inadequately formed for creating vowels and consonants. More importantly, snakes do not possess a larynx (vocal chords), which is an organ that only exists in mammals. Lastly, snakes lack a cerebral cortex: the part of the brain that coordinates the lips, tongue, teeth, and vocal chords to produce speech. So you're SOL on all counts. Sorry.

What is the point of satan then, is he like a guy that gets blamed for gods dirty work?
niinja2 9 months ago
@niinja2 Satan is NOT more powerful than God. You ask "where is the proof?"
Look at Jesus. He rose from the dead. If satan were more powerful than God, that wouldn't have happened.
And really, nobody knows why God allows Satan to deceive us. Only God knows why. It's very important that we dont take our 3 pound fallen brains and try to judge God. Have you ever thought that God may know something that you dont? it's important to trust God in this life. We will know in heaven.

what if its not satan and your just preventing yourself from learning?
niinja2 7 months ago
@niinja2 dude, you're missing something. It is the nature of man to sin. You see, your theory is if God is in control, Satan will never be able to make you sin. That's not true. Satan is a million times more powerful than you are. By saying if Satan tempts us, it's because God is allowing it, it's saying it's God's fault we're being tempted, but James said If you're tempting, DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT'S GOD'S FAULT. Temptation comes from within, it's our fault if we're tempted. And think about this:
natbrain 7 months ago

In following God, Satan is going to make us suffer, and God will allow it because it brings God more glory.
natbrain 7 months ago
@natbrain
replace the word God with the word Bob, and the word satan with the word Steve.
Bob is basically allowing Steve to torture us so Bob can be more important once when he does take care of Steve. Its not about us, its about Bob. Do you think Bob is a nice guy?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 well, does it mean we should get glory? We didn't DO anything! Notice, when God allows us suffer, it's to make us closer to Him. How? It requires that we trust Jesus that "He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" I Corinthians 10:13 says. By trusting Him, when Jesus shows His power by giving us a reward in the end, and Him giving us the power to endure, we see all the more how faithful He is. We don't do anything. It's all the work of God through us.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 When Christ takes something away from us, He wants us to trust Him, and He rewards us with something infinitely times better in heaven! Is not God the one who created us? Is not God the one who loved us enough, that, though we were lost in sin and complete enemies of Him, He sent His son Jesus to die for us? Is He not the one who saves? Is He not the one who gives us strength to endure tribulation and persecution? That being said, is it not clear He is the one that does all the work?
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 you see...all these tests and tribulation God allows so we can grow closer and stronger in Christ, in order that we may get something so much better! It shows that God does all things for the good of those who love Him.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"It shows that God does all things for the good of those who love Him."
so basically satan is just a pupet of God that God uses to do His will? We should not be afraid of satan then, because its all gods plan.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 no, we should not be afraid of Satan, because God is more powerful that Satan is, and if we have the Holy Spirit, we don't have to be afraid. I wouldn't say that Satan is a puppet though. But you gotta be careful though. We need to be able to discern what is of God and what is of Satan. Satan is trying to defeat us. Satan can, he is stronger than we are. Satan isn't the only one that makes people suffer. I believe that God does make people suffer too.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 God knows what's going to happen in the future. It doesn't catch Him off guard when something happens. God may be the one who makes people suffer, and He does that to bring His children closer to Him. But Satan tries to hurt us, and God may allow Satan to hurt us, or He may not; God knows our limits. Suffering makes us run to Jesus, regardless of who it's from. There is suffering in every Christians life, most simple of which is if people hate them for telling others of Jesus.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"no, we should not be afraid of Satan, because God is more powerful that Satan is"
so what is the point of this video then? to make people afraid of something they should not be afraid of?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 to raise awareness of Satan. If something is this bad and dangerous, you would want people to know about it so that they know what to do when Satan attacks the person and tries to get people to believe a lie, as Satan is "the father of lies". God is more powerful, but Satan is more powerful than we are. We need to know this so we know how to deal with Satan, and that he can cause spiritual warfare. It's definitely a scary subject, but "if God is for us, then who can be against us?"
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
You said we should not be afraid of satan. How is something we should not be afraid of bad and dangerous? I mean satan is powerfull then we are but dont we have god to protect us?
"you would want people to know about it so that they know what to do when Satan attacks the person and tries to get people to believe a lie"
well how do you know your not decieved by satan that he is decieving someone while he is actually decieving you?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 that's actually a good question. Here's how you do it: you resort to God's Word. What does the Bible say about it? If it doesn't agree with the Bible or the example of Jesus, don't listen to it. That's a lot easier said than done. Now, we don't need to be afraid of Satan because we can trust Jesus, but Satan can still mess with our head. That's when Satan gets really dangerous. Once he gets us to believe a lie, he's already got us almost under his control.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"that's actually a good question. Here's how you do it: you resort to God's Word. What does the Bible say about it?"
you have over 30000 christian denominations with differing opinions about the meaning of the "word of god"
how do you know which one is right? and which one are decieved by the devil, they all say they are right.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 the one that is right is the one that is accurate to the Bible. If a denomination has beliefs that don't agree with the Bible, don't go with it. It's possible to just be "Christian." We don't have to be in a sect. Just obey the Bible, and believe what the Bible says as it is the final arbiter as to what sort of "Christian" beliefs are correct and incorrect. We have the habit of not taking the Bible literally and implying stuff that the Bible doesn't say.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"We have the habit of not taking the Bible literally and implying stuff that the Bible doesn't say."
Is it ok to stone your children if they disobey you as the bible says?
"it's that I believe He gives us the strength to overcome the devil"
well what if he does decieve us, does that mean god didnt gave us enough strength?
"We take it as our right that God should protect us"
no , we take it as common sense for a god that loves us to protect us from satan.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 I don't want this to get into an argumentative state. If that's where it's going, let this be the last comment. The Bible also says obey your authorities, and stoning your child is child abuse right? And stoning your child is killing your child, not disciplining it. Second, God wants us to trust Him. Now you could take that any way, you can ask a billion questions on that, but I'll just pray that God opens your eyes to the truth. I used to be blind spiritually, but God opened my eyes.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"The Bible also says obey your authorities, and stoning your child is child abuse right?"
the bible says nothing about child abuse being wrong, we say that. It says you should bash the heads of disobedient children.
"And stoning your child is killing your child, not disciplining it."
it says nothing about disciplining either.
as you said yourself, we often put things into the bible that arent there and your doing it now.
if i should take it literaly why dont you?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 "it says nothing about disciplining either"
Proverbs 3:12: "because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in."
Hebrews 12:6 "because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.""
natbrain 6 months ago

the passage that says stoning your children is good does not say nothing about disciplining
you cannot take the bible litteraly

niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 there's nothing wrong with spanking a child.Jesus said in Luke 17:2 about the one who causes children to sin: "It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin." In Colossians, it also talks about fathers not disciplining children to the point they become discouraged: Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged."
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"there's nothing wrong with spanking a child"
PAY ATENTION
if your going to folow the bible litteraly you should do as the passage says and bash the child with the stone , if your going to not to take it litteraly then you will use context with other parts of the bible like you are doing now. But YOU ARE NOT taking the bible litteraly.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 in Proverbs 13:24 "Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them." Is "careful to discipline them. That doesn't mean break every bone in their body. God chooses who will be saved. Unless God chooses a person, they will NEVER come to Christ, because all humans are naturally God hating and slaves to sin and we would've never gotten out of our spiritual blindness to see we are sinners, and we would have never repented.

God will protect his children, but if you aren't His child...

niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 but I say use wisdom and take the Bible as to what it says. The only way one can truly understand the Bible is if the person loves Jesus. Jesus criticized the religious people, basically saying "You guys spend all day studying my Word, and you guys have no idea what it means, because you don't love me." I'm telling you, Christ will change your life. There's no problem with having questions, but the only hope we have in knowing anything about God is what he chooses to reveal to us.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 now, if Satan is stronger than we are, don't we have God to protect us? Now, that's a question that I don't fully know the answer to. I mean, I feel like I should know, but here's my best shot: It's the fact that Satan is stronger than we are that he's able to mess with us, and he wins sometimes because of the fact that some fail to trust Jesus and listen to Jesus. Now what I'm about to say, you might have questions for: the fact is HE never strays away from US. WE stray away from HIM.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
so if we do not listen to jesus he does not protect us from satan anymore? why? shouldnt god protect us at all times since he is our father?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 He is, but that would also be to say that Jesus would protect us from sinning as well, right? No, because if that was so, Jesus's death would mean nothing. It's not that Jesus doesn't protect us, it's that I believe He gives us the strength to overcome the devil, but it all goes back to the fact that Satan is stronger than us. Satan and God are two independent beings. God allows Satan to do stuff, He already knows Satan going to get destroyed.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 here's the thing. We take it as our right that God should protect us, but remember, we CHOSE to sin against a holy God. So all that's left for us is God's wrath. God doesn't have to protect us. In fact, if it weren't for Jesus, God WOULDN'T protect us because we are full of sin and we don't deserve anything but God's perfectly just anger. It's not that if we don't listen to Jesus, he doesn't protect us. It's BECAUSE of Jesus that we are protected by God at all.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"we CHOSE to sin against a holy God. So all that's left for us is God's wrath"
So God is just and he will protect us untill we sin, then we deserve punishemnt from god and from the devil?
And Jesus is mercifull and he will protect us no matter what we do?
"God doesn't have to protect us"
no he does not, but then he does not love us. If God loves us he should protect us, its what a loving person does.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 It's the concept of free will. God lets us do what we want. He chose me to be saved. Predestination. God allows all things for the good of those who love Him. Understand that. If God didn't allow us to sin, He would not have gotten the chance to glorify His just attributes, and to glorify His wrath and anger. Then He ultimately wouldn't have gotten the chance to show His love and justice by sending Jesus to die on the cross. The whole theme of the Bible is having glory go to God.

this is contradictory, i mean did God let you chose or he chose for you? Predestined you to be saved?
and i really do not understand what does free will or our choices have to do with this, if God loves us unconditionally ,no matter what we do against God, He will not let the devil decive us. And there is no reason to be afraid of the devil or scare people with this guy.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 then you would have the logic: if God loves us unconditionally, he wouldn't let us suffer either. Hey, the way God protects you is by warning you. How can you say that warning you and making sure you are aware of something as dangerous as the devil isn't loving? Free will in terms of God might let us choose whether we want to resist sin, or to fall and to sin. Am I still not making sense to you? God chooses who he wants to be his children, but we are free to choose what we want.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
And how do i LITTERALY trust the book that says light was created on the first and sun on the fourth day?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 let me explain this to you. Free will is shown by allowing people to do what they want. Predestination is shown when God gives people the desire to be saved, where God gives people a change of heart so that the person wants to follow Him. Without God, that change of heart and salvation would've never happened. Free will is the thing where people aren't forced to come to Jesus. Jesus doesn't force you to come to Him, it terms of, you don't want to have anything to do with God but
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"Free will is shown by allowing people to do what they want"
Do we chose what will we want, do we chose our desires? No we dont. How are you making free choices if you do not chose what will you desire.
" Jesus doesn't force you to come to Him"
dude if someone predestined you to chose him you did not have any choice, you were predestined, predestination negates free choice...
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 i say this with as much love as I can muster, as a Christian, but if you're just here to prove Christians wrong and argue and look for the faults of Christianity, my job is done here. I'm heartbroken to here that it seems like all you ever want to do is just find fault and prove that you're right rather than asking questions so things make more sense so that you may believe. I'll leave it up to God now, and I'll pray for you. Just so you know, God chooses not to reveal certain things
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 to us, because it's not time for us to know yet. God allows Satan to do whatever he wants because the time has not yet come for God to defeat Satan and throw him into the lake of fire. Now, that's in Revelation. And about stoning your children: that is the old law, don't take it out of context. It was given to the Jews specifically. Jesus died for sins, and following Him is the new law. That's why He said you don't put old laws to new laws, lest everything get worse.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 God has the power to save, and I'll pray for you. But I think I have to let you go if all you're going to do is find fault and try to argue that you're right, because frankly, arguing doesn't get us anywhere. It doesn't show you're right, and it doesn't get you any closer to believing the Word, so, if all you're going to do is quote the crap out of me and find fault, just stop okay? Don't comment if that's all you're gonna do. It's useless. Again, I said that with as much love possible.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
first off i respect you effort to repply in a loving manner
"arguing doesn't get us anywhere"
its true arguing does not get us anywhere if you cant understand for example that predestination negates any kind of free choice or free will.

i see your authority is the bible,i respect that.

All the people who weren't Christian went to hell and spoke of the same thing.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
"but they're called heaven and hell testimonies"
they are actually called NDE's and i know alot about them
there were christians who went to hell, there were even a few preachers both catholics and protestant that went to hell.
only 4% of people having these expiriences expirienced hell
some people expirienced things that are from other religions
some people that were not christians and were not religious during their life expirienced heaven.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 well, google Heaven and Hell testimonies. I think on the first hit, you will see that the non-Christians talk about hell, and the Christians talk about heaven.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
this is only one video, you should find on you tube "priest goes to hell and back" or something like that
just type NDE into you tube or google
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 hey, well, i've seen non-Christian priests. I mean, Christianity, I might start something here, but let's just stay on the topic of NDE's for the sake of preventing going into a never-ending argument like we did for the past few days, but anyway, Christianity is a love relationship with the God who created them. Oddly enough, Christ wasn't religious. As a matter of fact, He said to religious people, "Your father is the devil." Or, "You mom shagged the devil" is what He said.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 but a lot of priests are religious, but they aren't Christian, in terms of, they don't love Jesus. I mean, if you hang out with a real Christian (not saying I'm not a real Christian, but most Christians these days sadly don't live any different than the average non-Christian, I'm brokenhearted about it), they're actually fun to hang out with. Now they love God and they love you and their honest, but religious people are no fun to be with. They're too serious, you know what I mean?
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 I mean, priests just do religious duties, and they strictly follow papal rules and stuff, but they don't love Jesus, that's why they went to hell. They're weren't Christian, they were just strictly and extremely religious.
natbrain 6 months ago
@natbrain
one priest said what god said to him: you were a priest for you for 10 years, not be a priest for me
i dont think its the problem they are religious , its the problem that they are selfish, and selfish christian cna go to hell, and non selfish person can go to heaven no matter if he is not a christian.
there was a priest which went to hell and said to god " im one of yours " , it does not matter if someone says he loves jesus, it comes down to do you love people.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 um...no...it doesn't come down to loving people. It comes down to loving Jesus. Selfish people can go to heaven. However, if they don't repent and give their lives to Jesus, they aren't saved, so they aren't going to heaven. You see, in loving Jesus, you obey Him, and so because He said "love your neighbor as yourself" you do. But that's the SECOND most important commandment. The FIRST is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength."

@natbrain
"It comes down to loving Jesus"
im paraphrasing:
if you say you love Me( god ) and you do not love the poor, the outcast , you are a liar.
by loving people, you love god.
Jesus says:
the way you treat the least of my children you treat me.
its not about Jesus because Jesus is not an egomaniac, its about the people.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 it's about the strength of Jesus though. By His grace and mercy, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, a person can be more humble. You see, the solution to pride isn't humility, because if a person says "I'm prideful, so I'm going to try to be more humble." You see the person is looking to themselves for the ability to be humble, and that's pride. The solution to humility is Jesus. You start thinking of being like Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, who changes people.

God does things for reason, i dn what i would do if i was shown hell as NDE. but, i given promise that i have no need to fear and fall into death(sin).
soMeRandoM670 5 months ago
@niinja2 the people who were Christians spoke of heaven. they talked about glory and amazing things they saw in heaven. You might not believe this, but, just trying to make some sense. I believe predestination in terms of this: so, it's not God's fault anyone goes to heaven, because they choose to reject God. So think of it this way: Anyone can come to Christ and be saved (free will), but only those whom God chooses to be saved decide to come to Christ (free will with predestination).
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 well, what I meant about taking the Bible literally...I phrased it wrong I guess. I meant that too many people try to find and imply so much stuff about some verses in the Bible in an attempt to find the meaning of it, that they miss the meaning. Like, people too often, imply things that are not said - e.g. it doesn't say this, so that means this...you know what I mean? Anyway, I think the idea that bad things should only have to bad people is wrong. That's probably where we're confused
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 perhaps I forgot to add something. So, the laws that are in the old testament apply to today. I mean, a lot of the OT laws are present in the New Testaments laws, like, don't kill anyone in the OT, but Jesus goes one further and says, just by hating someone you've already killed them in your heart, which Jesus speaks against. So, the OT law, which is to stay until all the scriptures are fulfilled, according to matthew, does bind to today, but the NT laws have a lot of OT laws in them.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 but, Jesus still forces you to become a believer. It's not like that. We choose our way, and when God opens the eyes of the person, they believe, and they are given a change of heart to want to follow God. That way, unbelievers can't blame God for not believing, because those who choose not to believe DECIDE THEMSELVES they want to continue rejecting God, even if someone preaches the Word to them and the Holy Spirit speaks. Those who reject the message reject God. There's no excuse.

"because those who choose not to believe DECIDE THEMSELVES they want to continue rejecting God"
why would someone reject god if god put the desire in his heart to chose him, you said free will is choosing what you want, they want to chose what they desire, god put the desire in their heart, why would they not chose god unless he did not do so?
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 but remember, God doesn't have to love us. He chooses to. And there is evil in the world. And as humans, we are slaves to sin, which is ultimately a slave to the devil, or the world no? Jesus died to set us free. But we are constantly under slavery to sin. Try to live your life without ever sinning again. Not gonna happen. That's not to say Jesus died for nothing. He put sin to death so we might be seen as righteous in the eyes of the Father, and that we might nail sin to the cross.

@natbrain
"but remember, God doesn't have to love us. He chooses to."
exactly, he does not have to , but he chooses to because its his nature, and its nature and common sense that you protect people you love from the devil.
god lets us do what we want but he does not let the devil interfere with us unless its His will. In any case:
WE SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF THE DEVIL BECAUSE HE CANT DO NOTHING TO US, AND IF HE DOES ITS GODS WILL.
niinja2 6 months ago
@niinja2 that's why we are subject to evil and the devil. Because BY NATURE, we are evil and are naturally depraved apart from the saving grave of God, and are naturally subject to the devil.
natbrain 6 months ago
@niinja2 God didn't say that this Christian life would be easy. It would be hard. But God does all things for the good of those who love Him, and God will allow Satan to make us suffer because God promises a hard life, so that in the end, we would be closer to God and that God could give us a reward in the end.
natbrain 6 months ago

(cont 2b)
Snowmon89 11 months ago
B) Now assuming that he was right, then this would mean that only people who "know right from wrong" can be held responsible for the people who do not. Standing on this thought, sadly, I had to conclude that the only way to get rid of "evil" was to get rid of everyone who "knew right from wrong" (myself and him included). If we do so, then "evil" (by his definition) would be eliminated. No one could be held responsible for "evil" because "evil" would not be known. (cont 2c)
Snowmon89 11 months ago
c) Instead of continuing like that, I chose to leave.
Snowmon89 11 months ago
d) However, this would mean that: C.S.

I guess what I'm asking is, "Am I wrong for thinking this?"

So is a lack there of...
Snowmon89 11 months ago
@Sortsitar i don't think Satan was created with the nature to oppose God... Satan chose not to worship, and developed his own twisted view that he should receive glory.
As for the world... When Adam sinned, sin was released into the world as well. The crown of Thorns Jesus wore, that was representative of the reconciliation of all things to under Jesus' feet, including creation (The world).
As for people in the world... dude, thats total free choice of that person.

FMLdoodez 1 year ago
AceSkepTik 1 year ago
@AceSkepTik What i meant by whats wrong with it if it works is that if they were lying (which they arent) at least we know that ppl will try to be better ppl because of it so they will be making life better. FMLdoodez 1 year ago
