i can play it really similar to the real sound, but i'm not quite able to play it all in downpicking. i've been trying to build up strength in my wrist so i can downpick it, but by the time i get to the 2nd pre-chorus part (identical to the intro) i can't downpick anymore. aw well :/

@intii93 i've found it easier to play the verse downpick the open 6th upstroke the 5th chords, pre chorus alternate picked, ie down on 6thstring up on 5th string, and the main chorus, play the 5th chords down picked and alt strumming the other chords, i know i may get a lot of flak from other guitarists saying im not playingthe song properly, it sounds the same to me, and if i play it to others, they dont know the difference, no harm no foul

@MashedAvenger yeah, i agree with you. music is about playing your own way. imo killrbuckeye deserves all the credit he gets for being able to play like this, but i like to play guitar my own way, and i don't like straining my muscles, my wrist and arm muscles get really stuck if i try playing a lot of downpick. same happens with master of puppets by metallica. i don't play it downpicked. oh, and thanks for your advice/opinion :)
