They released ops 5.0.1 to help. But now I'm losing even more battery life. I done everything in the vid. Turn they brightness to the end and turn auto brightness off. Don't let apps run in background more than 1 minute. Turn of wifi and 3G when not using it. I let the battery die and charged enough but still no difference. I might switch to galaxy s2

In addition to what she said, turn off wi-fi and cellular data when you aren't using it, don't use the vibrate if you text a lot, no bluetooth, use airplane mode, turn the brightness down and turn auto-brightness on, turn off push notifications, turn off fetch data in mail, close applications (double click and hold down on app), turn off iCloud when convenient, use wi-fi in place of 3G for internet usage, and you should be fine. My iPhone lasts about 2 - 3 days one full charge (100% - 0%).

Hmmm......seems like a real pain to do all that man, but if it gets you 2 - 3 days.........

@bootcamp661 Honestly, I don't need to turn off all of that stuff all the time. With 3/4 of that stuff turned on I'll still get a full day out of the battery which is why it isn't a pain for me. The only reason I tell people to turn all off the stuff off and do that is because if you're going away for a weekend or something like that you can make it last. You have your Phone and Messages for emergencies and that's it. You don't need all that other stuff if you're gone for a weekend.

Always have a backup without. Brookstone makes a laptop battery that recharges usb devices. I used it on a 13 hour flight with no issues. Also sun tactics makes a nice solar charger for usb devices. The iPhone does need a bigger battery, esp with the power apps. I use my phone like a laptop.

Yes its an iPhone, but its not made of magic or Jobs special pixie dust; having a dual core phone will have consequences and one of them is shortened battery life.
