OK, just because you can play the piano well, it's not always better to let your own style completely take over.. sometimes you play a little too fast and the soul of the song just isn't there.. it's sort of like you know it a tune so well you can play it ten times more quickly than you should, (I know I do the same when I practice and just want to get to the next piece)

Just wanted to weigh in with my opinion. Your playing is fantastic. The entire Titanic movie was contrived bs with Leo running around yelling, ROSE, Rose!! But the music was good.

I've never actually seen Titanic, but all that I've heard about it is that almost everyone cries when they see it, and when I was in 8th grade my social studies teacher said he hated it because of how historically inaccurate it was. But like I said, I've never seen it. I hope I get the chance to sometime soon, though. Isn't it supposed to be one of the best movies ever?

Ah you must see it! It was the highest grossing movie ever in the U.S. and many other places. It's amazing. It won 11 academy awards. It's my favorite movie. It's long though. 3 hours and 15 minutes. It's not that historically inaccurate. And it's based on Jack & Rose's love, not so much the ship..per se.

By the way, this medley is brilliant!

One other question, you often play a nice full base with your pinky and thumb an octave above, say on C,, and C, but then you shift your hand up placing the pinky on C, - I can't tell if you are pressing it again or are you just doing it to sustain the note played with your thumb? If the latter, what would be a good song to practice that as I've never had any classical training (I use the sustain pedal too much :/ )

I'm not really sure about this - I think I'm just pressing it again - it's not like some technique I practice over and over or anything. Don't worry, I never use classical techniques and also use the sustain pedal too much! I'd say that only matters if you're playing classical, otherwise you can do whatever you want!
