Life of a crew chief was long, hard & in all kinds of weather, where you smoked or chewed to get you through those 12 hr shifts. Then in 1991 some Officer thought it was a good idea for the USAF to be tobacco free by the year 2000, because only the poor and uneducated would be the only ones ignorant to use tobacco. Now, not only do they smoke & chew they drink energy drinks.....LOL......60th OMS may you R.I.P.

The “like a G-6” video gave me the names of several Col’s. Second, they show violations of standards. Since when is it ok to have food or drink in a maintenance area? I won’t go on, but I will leave you with this, If we expect our young airmen, our allies and our enemies to respect us, we need to present to others an image that is respectable. Do you think these videos make us look like the Finest Air Force in the world, or a joke? Just my thoughts…

When you're at work for 12 hours a day... and you don't have time to sit and eat because we're so short manned... maybe we wouldn't have that problem. I'm not sure what your job is... but it's obviously nowhere close to the flight line....

I know there will be some of those reading this that have issues with my words, so before I get into my reasoning, let me say this. I don’t care, and I will continue to hold military personnel to the standards of conduct they are charged with. Having said that, I have no doubt that these videos were made with good intentions, but they are harmful to our cause. First, offer outsiders (including terrorists) the ability to target individuals based on their jobs and rank.
While quite well done, and funny, I’m not sure that posting these videos for the entire world to see is in the best interest of the Air Force. Perhaps in the future, keep them “in house”.
