I just have to say, I LOVE this look. It has become my go-to for when I go out. I bought Swiss Chocolate and BlueBrown pigment just so I could try this look, and I lovelovelove it. I use Blackground paintpot as my base to darken it up a bit, and I usually add some Reflects Transparent Teal glitter to the inner corners, cause I love me some glitter!

I think it got discontinued but you could use any lighter purplish liner even if it's an eyeliner.

It's such a small thing, but the SPEED at which you applied that black eyeliner (a colour you'd have to be a little more careful with!) to your lower waterline really shows how good you are at what you do. Another thing I noticed is how nice you get your cheeks to look using lipstick (so not even a powder or an actual cheek product!) + 1 finger. It's incredible. You are amazing to watch!

I wear a very similar look to this with my blue brown pigment. instead of using the gel liner as a base, i use the urban decay green 24/7 liner and smudge it up from the lash line. thanks for sharing! i love this look

With a lighter color - white is too harsh for some people - though others can get away with it. I use an old flesh colored liner from MAC and have been searching for a replacement for sometime now. I'm actually waiting for a package from xsparkage - i had her pick me up some Illamasque when she was overseas & one of the liners *may* be perfect - I just have to test it out first. I'll let you all know though!

If you taper your eyeliner, when using black, only bringing it halfway on the bottom then yes it will make your eyes look more defined and bigger. I find this in most cases when I do my own makeup, or makeup on other people. If you close the liner on the bottom all the way to the tear-duct that's when it closes off the eye and makes them smaller. So I always suggest just using a little bit of black liner on the waterline, but don't drag it all the way in.

See and IMO when you do that, it tends to leave the look unfinished as black is so harsh. The technique you're describing I only do with something less harsh like a light brown.
