Fault? It depends how biased you are, and how much you actually understand F1.
Looking at it objectively, first and foremost there were the track stewards forgetting to sync the pit lane lights, not realising the exit was red until drivers were at the end of the pit lane. This meant that no warning was given to the teams via race control and with no time to react, Hamilton (& Rosberg) crashed into Kimi, who (along with Kubica) was in breach of the 'single file only in pitlane' FIA safety regs.

Pit lane lights are controlled by the track stewards, they are syncd so as to avoid daft situations like cars clogging up the pitlane. The sync can be over-rided, and the only reason the lights were red a the exit is because stewards had forgot to sync them, they realised the mistake and changed them to green immediately. There was an article about it in either Autosport or F1 mag, I cant remember which .

Raikkonen stopped next to Kubica, because he's going to overtake him at leaving around pitlane. On the path the raikkonen wouldn't have a chance to do it at track if Robert didn't make some mistakes.
i suggest u learn about a pitlane before saying that , a pitlane is designed for cars in a single line , as in one car at a time rather than two cars next to each other at once

When you drive at 200kmph and make a mistake (KIMI's mistake at Monaco 08) , it is okay, you just lost control.
But when you drive at pit lane speed and collide with somebody(hamilton collision with kimi in Canada 08) , It is really stupid.. There is no excuse..

Well for a start was he not looking where he was going and could he not see TWO cars slowing down? Not to mention the red light. If Kimi & Robert had plenty of time to see the red light then Hamilton would have more than ample time plus he was quite a bit back from pair when they started slowing down! first of all he did not cut the corner accidently. there is a frame by frame video on youtube. according to rules he had to back off but he did not. you can cut the corner if there is no other way to go.

In the pitlane you must be behind the car in front of you- no discussion. Raikonnen made a mistake, so did Hamilton and both were out.

if you watch formula 1 races you will notice several gps where cars were side by side in the pitlane as they where fighting for the posisition..so thats not true...i cant remember the gp but i ll send you as soon as i ll remember it ;D

In 2007 & 2008 there was no WC indeed. All the drivers except Alonso & Kubica really sucked. They made so many mistakes that nobody was a real WC. There is no real WC since Alonso 2006.

In an instant I think it's technically Kubicas fault because Ferraris garage is behind BMW's so Kimi would have been released earlier, surely BMW should have released Kubica from his box after Kimi had gone by? I just think it's a racing incidnet though tbh.

Raikkonen stopped next to Kubica, because he's going to overtake him at leaving around pitlane. On the path the raikkonen wouldn't have a chance to do it at track if Robert didn't make some mistakes.

i suggest u learn about a pitlane before saying that , a pitlane is designed for cars in a single line , as in one car at a time rather than two cars next to each other at once

i aboslutely agree with this and i couldn't believe it when ferrari announced they are renewing raionens contract untill 2010. yes he is world champ, 2007, but his day has come and gone. it's time for him to stand down and allow a much more talented driver take up his position, i.e. vettel

Sorry but I suppose Ferrrari have to change drivers.Raikkonen is not a talented driver and when he his wheel to wheel is a disaster,he have problems on the rain and always destroy gear box.Massa try always to do his best but also him is evidently very far from top drivers.The power of a fiem is done by rapid solutions to problem and Ferrari it's loosing time and ground.

also this other incident at monaco kimi had had several accidents that day and should have been pulled from the race if he is getting paid 10 mill a year he can at least learn to drive in the wet oh and srikanth its 200 mph not kph, not that you could reach those speeds anyway at monaco. but the fact that kimi blatently slides into the back of sutils car and ends force indias only major finish of the season is just not right, these cars do have brakes as well, email me if you wish to debate this

ok, lets get some things clear on this post because this is now really starting to annoy me. Ferrari and the fia are both italien, therefore the FIA decisions usually favour ferrari, 99% of fia decisions in 2008 support this fact. secondly. this whole pitlane incident is complete rubbish, the mclaren pit lane is virtually next to the pit liughts. so hamilton pulled out of his pits missed the lights and collided with kimi, oh and pit lane speed is 70 mph thank you. contd..

When you drive at 200kmph and make a mistake (KIMI's mistake at Monaco 08) , it is okay, you just lost control.
But when you drive at pit lane speed and collide with somebody(hamilton collision with kimi in Canada 08) , It is really stupid.. There is no excuse..

As I have said to everybody who debates this issue - If you are the person who crashes into the back of another vehicle, it is automatically your fault! Well for a start was he not looking where he was going and could he not see TWO cars slowing down? Not to mention the red light. If Kimi & Robert had plenty of time to see the red light then Hamilton would have more than ample time plus he was quite a bit back from pair when they started slowing down! I just find the whole sorry affair amusing!

In Spa he did that on accident, and anyway if he hadn't of gone off he would've hit Kimi, because Kimi was actually forcing him off.
And the other icident was a total mistake too, whilst it didn't go down so well with Ferrari and BMW, he saw the green lights and then they changed to red, so there was nothing he can do.

Hamilton drives perfectly ok and the reason all you Ferrari fans think he is a cheater BECAUSE YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS OF HIS SUCCESS! And you're probably thinking of all the times Hamilton's got a penalty...that's because the iditic FIA are biast to Ferrari, and they clearly give Ferrari the advantage. See at Spa this year. Hamilton accidently cut the corner, then he let Raikkonen back past but no, he was still penalised. And when the Ferraris do that they never get penalised. Nuff said.

What about the race prior to canada ( Monaco) where Kimi got a drive through penaulty for something that happened before the race , Massa got penalised in singapore, and besides Hamilton is gutless for not saying he screwed up in Canada , I come up to traffic lights I have to watch for pedestrians lots of other cars ,cyclists even change radio stations or volume, and talk to passengers yet I dont crash into a car infront of me.Come on what hamilton did was on purpose .

maybe he did not want to hit the car in front but he clearly was going into kubica and took left to hit kimi. it was not like he was trying to avoid the car in front, he hatched the steering wheel, and when he was pointing towards the ferrari he straightened it out

Sorry but I beleive you are wrong.
Schumacher was a cheat and Hamilton isn't. Monza 2006? Yes he clearly did that on purpose. You can see it in the replays that he goes in to the corner with the steering wheel fully right, then he quickly changes it to the left, on purpose, so it looked like he'd slipped on the road, but actually it was a cheat and he did it because he is a cheater.
Hamilton on the other hand is a fine driver and drives perfectly ok.

Just like Schumi in the 90's... He ebentually matured and his final two seasons were fine (I don't believe he did Monaco '06 on purpose - exactly the same thing happens to me in that corner "all the time" in simulations, when I try to push extra hard - which he did, he was trying to improve his pole laptime. The surface is tricky there and it's easy to lose it, then you have to reverse...)

Hamilton is what Schumacher used to be many years ago - an ego maniac with dirty moves (a LOT). Look at Monza this year where he tries to push Webber out at the end of the start-finish straight and actually forces Glock into the grass at Curva Grande. He should have been disqualified. But since he's PRIVILEGED, he was allowed to continue. Poor loser, poor winner. When you're beside him, he doesn't give you the agreed car width of track, he simply pushes you out. :-(((((((((((((((((((((((
