  • lol it looks like a modernized Mauser c96 idk if i want it or not.

  • isnt that the guy han solo shoot the green guy with?

  • @Briannalive No; this gun is only 5 years old. Han Solo's blaster, the one he used throughout the trilogy and, yes, to shoot Greedo (the green guy), is a modified Mauser C96 with muzzle & ejection port accessories, as well as a rifle scope mounted on it.

  • kel-tec KLR-16 is a rifle-pistol on the cheap.

  • HOW MANY ROUNDS DOES IT HOLD

  • @GSG2DGD A LOT BRO! A FUCKIN" LOT!

  • looks like a crappy airsoft shotgun ha!

  • I love it, it looks like a bolter gun.

  • Comment removed

  • Dear Santa....

  • thats like a bolter pistol

  • kel tec gas systems are the best of both worlds, accuracy of the m-16/ar-15 round with the reliability of a system more similar to an ak-47 gas system

  • Made the mistake of accidentally firing one outdoors w/o and mouse ears on and one shot and my ears were ringing for weeks. My 18" barreled AR doesn't do that. Nothing against the PLR, mind you, but with only a 9" barrel, there is still a lot of explosive force being spent out the muzzle that wasn't imparted to the bullet; hence the noise level. Heavier bullets and a faster powder might take care of some of that.

  • it reminds me the mauser

    the design is similar

  • how is the shooting does it shoot well ? accuracy things like that , Thanks

  • I live in fl and can't find any distributers that have them in stock where the hell would I be able to get one? anyone know?

  • Huh, for some reason, the rear part of the weapon reminds me of a SPAS Shotgun.

Could be just me though, probably not related I bet.

  • its a mini B A R

  • kinda of pointless you wont even come close to getting a full burn I guess it would make a nice flame thrower

  • SBR that thing

  • if it has the similar gas system as a ak dose it have the larger recoil problems too?

  • @9879novo

    no

  • @9879novo the large recoil its cause of the caliber

  • could you put a stock on it?

  • Comment removed

  • @GunWebsites actually you can put a stock on it with the proper paperwork. keltec makes a stock for it

  • @MrUsername1191 then it wouldnt be registred at a pistol, and its illegal cross the firearms limitations

  • @MrUsername1191 why would you want a stock on it?

  • @MrUsername1191 yes you can

  • How much would one of these cost?

  • i think this would be a nice gun if it shot 7.62x39s rather then 5.56x45mm im just sayin it might have more knock down power

  • Can it take Tapco Magazines?

  • considering the layout of the gun im probably just going to keep it stowed as a "whaat if" case scenario gun and run either every third round tracer bullets or a 1913 laser with a quick attach/detach grip relitivly close by

  • @williamED15 its your choice where u put tracers, but if your using for what you said, then your tracers should be put at the end of your mag to signal you to change mags out. putting all those tracers mixed in will give your position away.

  • @mobb70 well considering barrel length and the lack of a stock this weapon is purely point and shoot and short range so i doubt that if there was a conflict where someone was using this weapon your person of conflict would probably know your location

  • considering the layout of the gun id probably just keep it for a "what if scanario" and keep a quick detach/attach grip loacted nearby and either tracer rounds every third bullet or just a simple 1913 rail laser other wise id just stick with the laws of my state.....still hate not being able to get my sig 556 into IL

  • Synthetic reciever. Ugh.

  • @FreeCaptains ploymer is corrosion resistant, stronger than steel, and 86 % lighter. There is no reason not to use polymer for the reciever, the only downside I can think of, is for some people the recoil is a bit stronger.

  • so just for my knowledge . no stock or vertical fore grip for this one correct ? without making it a NFA firearm.

  • @waseem1173

    correct

  • @GunWebsites thanks i am trying learning all these laws

  • dang, that looks really cool. its kind of, futuristic i guess. a little. kind of sci fi.

  • Looks damn front heavy to me.

  • can you put a stock on it?

  • @Hey573 Applying a stock to a pistol means it is then classified as a rifle, which then must be over a certain overall length (I believe 26") and with a certain length barrel (18"?), otherwise it is classified as an "Any Other Weapon" which is a Class III firearm. You can legally own a Class III weapon, but only if you submit all the required paperwork, pay the fees, and pass all the background checks. And then once you do it, you can't change it back into a pistol. Silly stuff, huh?

  • In the good words of spongebob in that one episode with the pirates treasure: PLASTIIIIC!

Good ol Kel tec. Heh, they've got a pracitcal spy's arsenal now. Everything from folding guns to high-capacity 'tactical' .22's. If i ever have an attempt at a coup, i'll be sure to arm them with plenty of these lol.

  • isn't this a carbine not a pistol?

  • @joeythekangaroo92

    nope, not even close

  • @GunWebsites doesn't it shoot .223 not pistol rounds

  • @joeythekangaroo92

there are no such thing as "pistol rounds" or "rifle rounds"

  • @GunWebsites can you explain?

  • @joeythekangaroo92 lol its a pistol that shoots 223 rounds. the end

  • @joeythekangaroo92 your must be thinking of 5.7x28mm rounds that the Fn five seven shoots, this gun shoots full on 5.56x45mm rounds

  • @joeythekangaroo92

It's a pistol mainly because of 1 thing. No stock. Now, if you were to put a stock on it, or if it came with one, it would be considered a "Short Barreled Rifle" or SBR and you would be subject to punishment under the law unless you have the proper legalities sorted out. (Don't even ask, talk to the ATF.)

Being that it is a pistol, you have to treat it as a pistol in the fact that you must register it if you need to register pistols in the state/country you live in. Enjoy!

  • @joeythekangaroo92 it would be a carbine if it had a stock.

  • Gas leaks past the steel ammo and causes soot to build up, you get really stuck ammo, this it is very hard on the extractors. (pity because i like cheap ammo)

Does amazing shooting for a pistol, but it is not a rifle so it is difficult to hit a man sized object past 100 yards without a bi-pod or bench-rest.

Wish it had a better trigger. ( I am spoiled by modified Ruger Mk3)

  • Who needs an AR when you have one of these? It's a plastic behemoth. Slap on a scope and you're in business.

  • though it was a carbine

  • can u conceal carry that cuz uh that'd awesome

  • @RESPECTorFEAR in a coat, you probably can, considering it's barrel is only 9 inches, but from what i heard, it's loud because of the shortened barrel, and Don't use Steel ammo in it, in any kel-tec weapon you do not use steel ammo because it jams quite a bit

  • i owned that gun i had red dot on top and the front grip add-on total gangster to pull that slick piece out

  • actually everytime i stop by one of the many gun stores in my area, if dont hear a customer ripping on kel tec, its a employee trying to reason with a customer not waste their money.

And from looking at what this stupid thing does from other videos ( i had to check other videos because all you do in your videos is rub the thing with a diaper) Why wouldnt you buy an assault rifle? oh wait i know why because you have no taste

  • kel Tec is crap hahahaha waste of money tasteless crap

  • @frantfu You really have no actual experience with Kel Tec, do you?

If you did, you would know how awesome they are.

They are the only gun company to never have a recall of one of their products.

  • dude you buy dumb guns, dumb guns

  • @frantfu I think it's pretty cool.

  • in your videos i see that people ask you can you shoot the gun? and you answer "you do that in your vids" but i cant do that cause i live in norway so its illegal so im wondering why not shoot your guns?

  • @reapermachine

    keep watching

  • @GunWebsites no on your other videos

  • @reapermachine

sorry man, asshole politicans live in all countries.

  • Looks a bit like a modern C96.

  • @MrPsychoAJK Ikr?

  • did you say a pistol

  • @toonarufo90

    yes

  • its allot more rugged then then ar platform. because it has more in common to the ak.

  • COOL! Talk about laying down fire....Now when I switch to my secondary it will be 5.56 as well.

  • its look like a Mauser C96

  • This gun reminds me of a toy gun, but is very appealing to me because of the .223/ar magazine.

  • Its funny how the little kids get on here and all they want to see is it being shot, but when they grow up and they own a weapon, and it jams or something needs to be replaced they won't know what the hell too do.

  • my sights are aluminum, they must be cutting corners now to save a lil money. nice vid, i love my plr 16

  • oh yes i want one

  • In my opinion, all it is is an AK carbine using NATO ammunition. But its a great firearm.

  • ''Made in USA'' No wonder it looks so wierd

  • God damn that is cool! Do they make a holster for it? and can it take .223?

  • @Gladeator123 its can.. 223 and 5.56 he said it in the beginning

  • Would it be possible to use this pistol to take small game, like pigs or turkey?

I couldn't find a law against it, and it would take a 5 round mag for an AR-15.

  • what is the range on it? i have herd no more than 50 yards

  • for people that dont understand these type of weapons these guns were designed for close quarter fights you going around a corner with your sks probaly isnt going to make it your probaly gonna get shot getting hit with a 9 or 40 with a +p round or mag safe round you in trouble lol

  • if you are going to be that negative about this gun then why buy it since you already had an opion about your purchase b4 u bought it fyi the plr16 has an ar bolt carrier how do i know that because i own 1

  • makes me think of a C96

  • Let's go kill some stormtrooopers Chewie.

  • boot leg m16

  • Looks like a good Target Pistol

  • COOL!!!!

  • in your videos you should show the gun u just reviewed being shot

  • @mweymiller142

You should do that in your videos

  • @GunWebsites haha...maybe if u sent the gun u reviewed in the mail ;) but u might not get it back lol

  • i have two of these and we have the full asesories package on ours and they are ausome

  • looks like a mauser

  • What an interesting weapon. Similar to Shotgun grip, Walther (WWII) magazine slot, and indeed AK barrel

  • Kel tec don't make very good guns.

  • @nside41 How do you figure?

  • @nside41 then youve never shot a keltec

  • @nside41

I Disagree the P3at, the PF9 and the P11 shoot wonderfully. As does the PLR22 and Sub2000. After the break in period they work perfectly just as good as a S&W or Glock with the fraction of the price.

  • how much does it retail for

  • what is the price range of this gun

  • how many rounds it holds

  • @jay4lifecom

uses AR mags, so depends what mag you use.. so 5-100 I imagine

  • looks like a gun from star wars or something

  • can u put a sliding or folding stock on it?

  • @Deville360

    no

  • @GunWebsites then can u put a longer barrel and a handguard

  • @Deville360 yes, in fact, u can. kel tec sell stock mounts (originally for the SU-16) that fit the PLR-16. you would have to file it with the ATF as a SBR, but then u can legally have a folding stock and verticle grip SBR PLR. Kel Tec also sells slings and sling mount for this pistol as well...

  • @Deville360 Yes, but you need to apply for a SBR tax stamp with the BATFE. Check out the forums at KTOG for some information on the subject. I know of at least one guy over there who put an folding stock on his. Make sure you stay within the limits of the law.

  • this reminds me of the pistol from fallout 1+2

  • thats an ugly gun

  • sniper pistol:S

  • looks like han solo blaster

  • why would you want this though?

  • WTF?

  • i jus got 1 of those 2day.. i love it.. gonna hit up the range 2morrow

  • man your videos are amazing but why you dont shoot the fucking pistol ???

  • are these pistols legal, with out specal permits? or are they military only?

  • @WoebringerofDoom

this is a pistol, nothing more

  • @GunWebsites

This is one pistol you do NOT want to be without ear protection when firing ....... PERIOD. If you use this indoors for personal protection, as cool as this thing looks, you may very easily lose your hearing. Perhaps a heavier weight bullet with a really fast twist might have imparted more of the charge to bullet so that it wasn't wasted in the prominent flash.

All that aside, I had 5.5" groups at 200 yds. with a 3X scope. Nice, but VERY loud.

  • @BR549guy Its not as loud as people say. no more louder than an AK, IMO. If you feel comfortable using a shotgun for self defense indoors, then you can use a plr.

  • How do you hold onto the bare barell wile shooting, after 20 rounds it's steaming?

  • @PANDAirsoft How many pistols do you hold onto the barrel while shooting???? Haven't you ever watched a John Wayne movie??? Nobody ever holds onto a pistol barrel..... woousee

  • ima start paying attention to kel tec now lol

  • my favorite gun is a smei aouto 22 rifle.

  • looks sort like a MP40

  • those things are bloody loud

  • whow! cool thing! It looks like an mauser

  • it has an actual ar15 breech you can buy the 100 round double drum

  • is this California legal?

  • should be

  • @McTastey Don't quote me on this, but the fact that it's a pistol and that the magazine isn't held in the handle might not make it California legal. Not too many things are California legal these days. :(

  • Does it have a problem with steel cased ammo?

  • its a mix of both....period^^

  • When you say gas system is like an ak, is it actually a piston system or direct gas impingement which interacts with the bolt like an ak?

  • It is a piston gun, but with AR-style bolt & locking lugs.

  • How accurate is it?

  • It shoots a good group at 50 yards with iron sights, optics haven't worked so well for us

  • @GunWebsites try a good small scope like 1-4x20 or 24.

  • Looks fun to shoot.

  • How much is this pistol.

  • $555.00 at my local gun store

  • tha is gorgeous

  • Thanks for the review I guess?? 2 minutes sorta describing features that are pretty obvious does not bring alot of value friend. More discussion about after market foregrip or attaching a one point sling or different magazines or test fires or breakdown or etc...

  • thanks for the feedback.

  • @lar1517 I think discussing how adding a foregrip makes it an AOW would be more relevant. Pay your $200 to make it an SBR and avoid hassles with BATFE.

  • this thing looks like a Mauser "Broomhandle," or whatever it is that those are actually called. Scary gun

  • huh, kinda looks like a Red 9.

  • ugly design, not looks like a pistol

  • could that thing take a c-mag? or larger sized AR mag atleast? this looks like a great back packing gun or something to have as a home defense gun or hell just for a range gun something i could have lots of fun with.

  • it does take most any AR mag, We have pics of one with a 100 round beta in it

  • cool

  • LOL that thing is UGLY AS HELL...

    (but I want one now...)

  • i bought a keltec p11 9mm and shot it for the first time today and on the 9th round....THE TRIGGER BROKE! so now i have to send it back to the company...and that was my first 9rounds thru the gun.

  • dang.. please let us know what kind of turn around you get and how they treat you

  • looks like the german machine pistol from ww2 :P

  • mp40?... not really...

  • i think thats the one i wanted really bad a long time ago

  • Loved mine, it was LOUD, especially with the muzzle break.

  • once again....where can i get it and about how much would it cost...that is an awesome looking gun!

  • these are available all over for well under $1000

  • pew pew pew, look at me, I'm Han Solo.

  • LOL, I din't think of that.. now that's all I'll think of when I see these

  • Haha. I think they used a Mauser C96 as a prop for Han Solo's gun in Star Wars. Same with the Sterling SMG for the Stormtrooper blasters.

  • @mrzack888 They look slightly similar but the Han Solo gun was based off of (damn near was one) a Mauser C96.

  • I like this firearm probably just for a plinker but then again I rather have the ruger .22 charger cheaper on ammo and probably more reliable....but it sucks being a lefty in the firearm world lol

  • I like that! How much is that Pistol ?

  • I've seen them as low as $515 but at my local store its $635 but to be honest they over charge because of the location change...
