@Maniac742 I still play mechwarrior 3 and think it's awesome. But either the new operating system, "overlord" graphic card, or the newest direct ex is fucking up the graphics. Lots of images crashing into each other. Like you'd expect from a nintendo game being scraped on its surface.

so the gun pods/arms on mechs actually change based on your load out? thats new and awesome..tho the part where you looked behind u and the left gun pointed right and rear through your torso was odd...just a minor detail haha

it is based on Classic Battletech, Taking some of the Best parts of MW2/3/4. Do to the fact they stop links do a search for benzinestudios or put a com on the end of that to get the lastest info on this game and the current playable demo version 2.1.5. at the time of this posting.

Gundam sucked balls badly. Was so lame, and robots were just unrealistic... Check any site about gundam... several meters tall, and only 8 tons heavy? My uncle's truck have simmilar parameters, can i go to war? :P

Beside if youd like some more humanoid robots-but still proffesional military types, try Heavy Gear... Gundams looks like they were made of plastic

Its no difficulity of beeing "elite warrior" when you got a vehice that cannot be destroyed, by no any other gundams, and cary a weapon that can destroy whole star-stations with single shot :/ Its the kind of thing you can expect a little japaneese with realy sall penis can produce

Not all Gundam shows are bad. Watch 08th ms team. It really is worth watching, even if you dont like the gundam universe since its way more realistic.

well really...battletech has the atlas... gundam are humanoid (mostly) they're both just as possible. Although mechs would be easier to achieve first. Gundam < Battletech!

Gundam was produced at least 15 years prior to the first BattleTech, and like most Mecha shows, the developers have based designs from Japanese robot shows - ever wondered why there has been an increase in the mecha genre of late?

you my friend have not seen the old-school gundam. It's way more realistic that all the new SEED and 00 crap.

And it's just as science based as Battletech.

Uhm, even most of the UC Gundam series push it with some of the stuff that they do. That being said, I'm not bashing it, I am a total Gundam fan. When it comes to Giant Robots you generally have to fudge science to get it all to run right. there are series/universe that feign realism better than others. Such as Battletech, Macross, Gundam: 08th MS Team, Turn A Gundam, and a few others.

you're right, though I prefer Zeta Gundam and Char's Counterattack, I agree the 0079 series was definitely a masterpiece IMO, the characters were pure gold, and the plotline kicked ass! Its only downside was the primitive animation of its time, if it were made in the late 80s or 90's it would be even more badass!

Gundam Wing was pretty cool back when I saw it, but the science aspect of it was VERY problematic and murky. F91, V, SEED, etc. are even more so.
