i confirmed this with a gm technician (foreman) if you use slp headers or modifications gm will honor warranty due to their affiliation

@Quiksilverparish WRONG. SLP says on their own website that because their long tube headers changes the location of the catalytic converter, it's no longer emissions legal. That means your dealer can void your warranty if they want to be problematic. Also, the tech you talked to represents his dealership, not GM. ***BOTTOM LINE: Any part that was NOT on your car when you bought it WOULD/COULD void your warranty*** It's a dealer-to-dealer thing. Some will void your warranty, some will not.

headers only void the exhaust warrenty.

the motor is still covered. gm would have to prove without a doubt that the headers caused the problem. take it from me i work for chevorlet dealer as a mechanic

its technical* the headers will void warranty and so will superchargers,nos,ecu change etc...but anything from cat back and back is cool, so like a catback exhaust like his slp lm is cool!
