    'Radical'

  • Such a hardcore track. I really loved the game because of this version of BMX.

  • Wow, whoever played this was pretty crap. But credit where credit's due...at least they finished it.

  • Wrost than turbo 16...

  • I rocked at this game lol =)

  • I remember I had this. It was the only game I had lol

  • You gotta start at the bottom edge of the dirt. No obstacles.

  • I recall this game being very hard D: But I was just a whee lad when I had a Lynx.

  • how in the world could the gameboy have driven this off the market?? HOW?????????

  • Nintendo released Game Boy at the height of their popularity. The NES controlled 90% of the market, and 3rd parties were forbidden to make games for rivals.

The Lynx was sold in limited quantities in '89, and was only available via mail order that year. The Epyx games were great, but new games were far and few between. And there was no Super Mario, no Castlevania, no Contra, no Mega Man.

And Game Boy had Tetris, had an army of games, and sold for $89. It was a lopsided fight.

  • Atari is responsible for ET... that is why...

  • @gullwing14

Lynx was too big whereas you could fit the Gameboy in your pocket. Gameboy had longer battery life and already had a ridiculously huge library of games when the Lynx came out. Gamebody was cheaper.

  • @bigpoopie69 well gameboy pocket maybe, personally I wish I didn't miss the lynx, cos I was lumbered with a gameboy pocket and it took ninshitdo until the gba to finally catch up.

Everyone is stupid buying nintendo handhelds cos there always a whole generation or 2 behind the competition.

  • @gullwing14 ...because nintendo is like apple. people want it, no matter how shitty of an idea or how shitty the hardware is.

  • Its strange how all the videos and emulators cant do the lynx justice. You have to go and buy ones to experiance it.

I currently have 5, i think i need to buy some more though.

  • lynx rulz ftw!

  • Is the Atari Lynx 8-bit or 16-bit? It looks like 8-bit but I always see it advertised as 16-bit.

  • The Atari Lynx was definitely a 16 bit hand held console, as the graphics matched that of the Megadrive and SNES.

  • The CPU is 8-bits, however Its got a 16-bit graphics chip on it that allows for scaling and rotating... The system is capable of doing what the SNES can do.

  • Thanks for posting this Video, my Brother had one of these, played it loads of times, I remeber this and FutureCop !!!

  • crappy score indeed, my personal best is around 1350 and I think I have used pretty much every strange (and lucky combination there is) since you can´t do more tricks than just the backflip you have to hit obsticles in strange and unpredictable ways to get bigger scores on your tricks!!

  • 1350 is impressive, but could you do it again and post it? i have 1090 on youtube.

  • They weren't doing enough back flips with the bike. When I played this game when having the lynx, I was doing back flips at every opportunity, but it seems this person hasn't, which is resulting in their poor score. They missed quite a few opportunities to do back flips/somersaults with the bike there. Nice to see a bit of nostaliga though, thanks.

  • thats a horrible score. you should be ashamed. get a better score, then replace this sad video! :-)

  • Its not bad going for 1989 !!!

  • huh? what does "its not bad going for 1989!!!" mean? Do you mean, its not a bad GAME for being nearly 20 yrs old? I was just saying that score was BAD. He should have showed a video of a decent score. thats all.

  • For being 20 years old lol, clicked on the wrong reply, my bad !!!

  • i played this one THE MOST out of both the NES and this one for Atari Lynx! Probably the nicest version of the game! Playable, yet can be challenging!

  • As good as James

  • and the best.

  • the easiest of all the california games.

  • but the best! Although I could play better when I was 8 years old...
