@B1r6m4n the bucket is insulated, the knuckle of the boom is all metal, but that has nothing to do with a pinhole in your glove, Ive got two people in my crew right now who have both been hit by energized lines, one in a bucket, 7200 volt split his right hand on the entry went across his body and out the back side of the top of his elbow. The other was getting stuff off the truck his lineman was in the bucket the knuckle of the boom caught in the primary while his knee was touching the truck
i am an IBEW certified journeyman lineman....Queer. u do ur deal half way up the pole u phone fag and ill do my deal deal at the top shut ur fucking face and in no way shape or form was my buddy or i in danger because we understand electricity and how the hell it works...... peace....let me guess u voted for same sex marriage..
@payneisanogle This is probably the most risky form of line work. This guy does not have a conductive suit on or wrist strap attached to his lower leg ect, So if he slips and his flesh contacts the conductor he is dead basically.
What kinda gloves are those(brand), Me and my dad have some but they are old, like 1980's old(can barely move in them). Yours look a hell of alot more flexible than ours.
My favorite part was when you almost let you buddy get zapped because you were too busy making a vid to hold the crimp for him, you're a real pro. Us union guys could learn a lot from you clowns.
I am speechless after watching that. Listen to me, if you continue doing hotwork with all those bad habits you will die in the line of duty. You are not a skilled lineman. All your macho bullshit will get you killed. If anyone is considering going into this line of work please go through an IBEW apprenticeship so you learn the craft.
scab..... queer..... cockholster....cum dumpster.....quit eatin mac and cheese off of food stamps and get a real job where u actually use ur hooks instead of just callin a scab to do all the knarly work that ur litttle union/utility scared fraid of the dark ass, book smart ass doesnt wanna get ouuta the bucket shoot yourself in the face. really scab???? u cant sleep well at night
I am curious... which conductor is hot, the one with the crimp, or the other one he bends and almost touches with his uninsulated elbow? I hope it was the one with the crimp...
u must work for a non union company... 1. no bucket harness 2. no FR shirt or long sleeves for that matter, you'll wish u were wearin long sleeves if u ever have an arc 3. no sleeves, yes i do realize some places dont require them when gloving certain voltages 4. all the union bashing on here... we climb poles just as much as if not more than rats, we do all the jobs the utility doesnt want. and next time. put the squeeze on the jumper and then put it to the line, so ya dont go in series! IBEW!
thanks for the tape advice.. normally i would but we were just effin around, and island..... were not dead cause we work for a contractor and understand electricity in the field.... not just on paper.
man, i really don't know why people are talking shit right now! I am dreaming of the day I finally climb that pole and break my back/risk my life for a living! Keep doing what you do man!
without worring how many cal/cm my dang shirt is...... pansies....how do ya'll sleep at night!!! i'm sure dang good cause you might as well have office jobs if you can even call em jobs. i'm AMERICAN and I WORK for a living.....Work involves SWEAT!!!
Contractor/LINEMAN/somebody who isn't soaking society for a wage like the government. climb 14 poles in a row, change arms, insulators, and work a 3 pot double dead-end before daylight....we'd be happy too
i can explain the difference between a ulility/union outfit real simply. utility/ union...damn that's a long way up...you want me to climb that? ahhhhh. it's dark and i can't see the top.
no joke, carpet spark is right. it's 7200...easy. you union effers crack me up. on your breaks you have all the time in the world to "comment" bout the boys actually doin the work..... go on strike or stik somethin or just shutup and quit breathin. ha. amazin!!! do u guys know what hooks are or are all of ya "bucket truck, so many cal/cm, my knees hurt , it's after 3:30, pretty much phone fags.
God bless you brother. That's how true A class roles...no sleeves and no FR shirt and fall harness haha.
