I guess it's because of a sin... -_- Church, we must not follow deceptive teachings like this. Be awake!
@themotionaddict2 - exactly, Jesus paid the price for our healing. Just about every Greek and Hebrew scholar agrees that healing was part of the atonement. Those that deny it now are not looking at scripture but standing firm on their denominational beliefs. Yes some are starting to walk in a greater revelation of God's grace through Jesus; greater than those of the revivalists of old. One of my spiritual fathers was a healing revivalist of the 40's and 50's ect.. The big tent times.
@wghart1 Dude, I don't know where you are getting your facts from, but not very many people believe that physical healing was part of the atonement. And those that are denying that it was, are not just holding to denomonational beliefs. Scripture backs up everything I have claimed. Death is part of sickness...We ultimately die because our bodies get old and wither away, unless some other factor comes into play. Plus, sickness is not sin, but more so an effect of sin. Jesus died for sin.
@underoath4794 Isaiah 53: 5, 1 Peter 2:24, Matt 8:16-17 all prove that healing is part of the atonement. No being sick is not a sin, but a result of sin in the world. Jesus paid the price for sin 1 John 2:2, 2Corinthians 5:18-19. and set us free from bondage to it and it's consequences. Romans 8. But we still see people sick and people go to hell, not because Jesus didn't pay the price but because we don't aquire that payment by faith. It is all by grace through faith.
@wghart1 You can't say that when we are sick it is because of our sin, and Jesus paid the price for sin, so therefore we shouldn't let sickness reign over us. What about the blind man that people where asking about why he was blind, and Jesus said it's not because of anyones sin, but it's so that my glory can be shown through him.
@jmsmzrz Really? So I guess according to people who follow this doctrine, calling someone a "DUMB FOOL" is ok too? One more reason I am going to stay away from it....
@underoath4794 That's your problem if you want to stay away from what Jesus himself taught, who are you anyway? Another so called 'Christian' living life how it pleases you without a thought or care towards God or deeply religious & bound by works?
@themotionaddict2- He will tell you that many of them did not have the revelation of all that Jesus did and that we do now. That is why you can't use the experiences of others to form doctrine. We have to make our experiences line up with the word of God by the renewing of our minds with the word of God.
@jason - Our sins no longer seperate us from God. Jesus paid the price for all sin we just need to accept the payment. This os the freedom of the gospel.
I'm just trying to understand something. My mother was ill for many years. She serves the lord, loves him and walks with him everyday. She was healed eventually, but it took time. And during that time, she was told by many people that it was because she had sinned or didn't have enough faith. She has been healed for 3 years now, and says the illness made her completely dependent on God, taught her gentleness, patience and compassion for people in physical need. explain that to me then
@chosenbeautiful Romans 8:28 readDeuteronomy 28, Isaiah 59 and check out Henry Wright and Apostle John Eckhardt and Katie Souza. God is still in control of our situations my mother had battled illness for yrs and she introduced me to deliverance ministry with Neil anderson anyway God will teach you things in your situation Satan only has limited power read Job 1:12 and Job 3:25 and 1 John 4:18 Generational iniquity and personal sins we're not made perfect into the image of Christ yet Psalm 51
@chosenbeautiful - God will use anything to help you because He loves you. Just because He helps you during your lowest times and you draw close to Him does not mean he ordained that trouble. He loves your mother and always did. It wasn't her sin that kept her from being healed. We should never tell someone we are praying for it is their fault or lack of faith for their not being healed. It is the lack of faith of the one doing the praying. Jesus blamed the disciples for their failure.
GUILT GUILT GUILT - You have no faith if anyone dies...or gets sick even...it's your fault because you don't heal people...JESUS healed everyone...What about you? No? Not healing people? You have no faith...you doubter!
@BillyVeePersonal I agree with your theology. But let's not condemn those who doubt. There is no believer who had never dealt with doubt before. It's something we all had to overcome. It's not that God doesn't want to heal - true; and it's us that are preventing healing - fact. But let's not forget, lack of faith is not the only thing that prevents healing. Condemnation, not walking guilt-free after being forgiven, is also another huge factor. No more condemnation? - Now receive healing!
@franksui - My theology is that people can not use God like a vending machine. You have not overcome doubt. You have given yourself over to the strong delusion. You say you believe lies because you are made to feel guilty if you say you don't believe them.
As far as death I have personally prayed for 2 people so far who had stage 4 cancer who I have seen pass away. Yes you are right in saying that no one is going to escape death. (until the rapture happens) Death isn't part of God's will but needs to happen because our bodies are broken vessels ever since the fall. After all we are going to have Glorified bodies, not broken bodies that need healed all the time. I however will continue to even try raising people from the dead as Christ did.
If a person doesn't get healed I NEVER tell a person that they didn't have enough faith. Rather I look at myself and ask if I had any unbelief in my heart when praying for this person. Yeah I haven't seen 100% of people that I prayed for physically healed but that is not going to be something I am going to let myself be moved by. I am going to continue healing the sick as Christ commanded us to do.
Not only is God is in heaven we are as well. (Eph 2:4-9) As scripture says we are seated with him in heavenly places. His will is what we are praying for and His will is that all the schemes of the enemy gets canceled. Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. In Heaven there is no sickness he desires to see the same here on earth. We are to be messengers to bring God's kingdom here to earth so people can taste and see that God is good, and come to repentance.
I believe God cares for our entire being. He created us! So much that He is even going to give us new and glorified bodies. I agree that he cares more about where we are as far as a relationship with Him. Jesus however not only paid the price for sin, but He died for our healing as well. (Isa 53) Suffering isn't something that was ever part of Gods will. He however tells us that we will suffer persecution. However the suffering that is mentioned in scripture isn't sickness.
@underoath4794 God never ordained a Gospel of poverty and sickness. Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
So according to this doctrine we shouldn't ever age and die?
I absolutely believe in healing, but I absolutely do not believe it is always God's will to heal. The things that we face on this earth; sickness, disease, etc. are effects of the fall of man. That's why when Jesus returns we will be given perfect sinless bodies, but not until then. I have seen people who have been so joyful and have constantly praised God throughout sickness. God is most certainly being glorified in that!
@underoath4794 I'm not sure about this 'sickness can be god's will' or not argument. But I DO know what the bible says! Be sure to be lined up with scripture. Jesus told us to heal the sick. He said in the great commission that we will heal the sick. He told people not to believe him unless he did the works of the father: miracles. He said we would do greater things than him. We should emulate Jesus. Jesus' ministry was signs, wonders, and teaching, all with the base of his intense love.
@atjoslin I appreciate your polite reply. Like I said, I believe we are to be healing people like Jesus did, but I will always pray that God's will be done regardless of what I might think is right, instead of just assuming that He wants that person to be healed right then. I believe that there are times when God always people to remain in sickness, because when we praise God throughout our suffering, that makes Him truly look amazing, (ex: Paul, Job, etc.)
@underoath4794 Jesus healed every sick person that came to Him without exception. Jesus never said to anyone I am going to let you stay sick because it is going to make you a good Christian. We are not called to be disciples of Job or of Paul we are to be disciples of Jesus. Jesus told us to pray let your Kingdom come let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Heaven there is absolutely no sickness and he desires the same on earth. Paul's suffering was persecution not sickness.
@underoath4794 Just a question for you how many people have you prayed for healing that you seen physically healed? In the past 6 months I have seen well over 100 people physically healed from back problems, knee problems, broken bones mending together instantly, sprains leaving, legs that are shorter than the other growing. This isn't bragging on myself but rather bragging on Jesus. With my own abilities I can't heal people, but Christ in me the hope of Glory can.
@rcardona2001 Was Jesus not a homeless man? How can you say we are not meant to suffer for the name of Christ. Read any of Paul's letter's and you can't deny that as Christians, we are going to suffer for Christ..It's inevitable. Jesus Christ went through the worst possible pain for us. Could it be that Jesus healed everyone He came to without exception because He knew who to go to? God cares more about our spiritual health than He does our physical health.
@underoath4794 - what about the ones that touched Him and were healed or came to Him. Jesus didn't go to many, they came to Him. It's hard to pick and choose when they come to you. He was asked many times if He was willing. His response was always that He was willing.
@rcardona2001 How many people have you prayed for that weren't healed...you can't say that it's been 100% of everyone you prayed for that have gotten healed. What do you say when they don't get healed..you don't have enough faith? What about death? Ultimately, we are all going to die one day....We can't think that death will never come if we just keep healing people.
@rcardona2001 And about the Lord's prayer. God's in heaven. His will is what we are praying for. We can't expect things to be as they will be in heaven right now. This earth is not Heaven right now. It is stained by sin. If we were to expect things now to be as they are in Heaven, why would we pray "give us our daily bread". We won't need anything in heaven. We will be perfect. This is is ruled by Satan..bible says so. We can't expect it to be like heaven right now.
@underoath4794 you cannot use your experiences to establish doctrine. Jesus paid the price for our healing. By His stripes we were healed - that is past tense. Jesus healed all, and the only we don't see all healed today is because of wrong doctrinal teaching - God may not want them healed - unbelief, condemnation ect... The author of sickness and disease is sin - Satan - and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He came to give life not death.
@wghart1 Let me ask you this...did Jesus Raise Lazerus from the dead? Yes...Now where is Lazerus? Dead...We are all going to die eventually due to sin, but according to this healing doctrine, no one will die if you just have enough faith...that's senseless. Everytime Jesus healed someone it was for His own glory and that's why He did it...it wasn't because He was fighting sin. John 9 talks about a blind man who was only blind so that God's glory would be shown in Him.
@underoath4794 - death doesn't have to be due to sickness. The Israelites in the wilderness would give up their spirit when they were ready. I've known of elderly christians that decided they had fulfilled what God had called them to and had passed their wisdom on to the next generation and layed down and "gave up the ghost" as scripture says. They were not sick or dieing.
@wghart1 The glory doesn't come from the defeat of sin, it comes from the rejoicing over God's grace and power which can just as easily happen if someone remains in sickness..You can't say that God never gets glory from disease. I have seen it many many times..Whether we are healed, or suffer, it's all about His glory. Nick Vujicic has no arms and no legs but is perfectly happen with his life and lives it for God's glory and wouldn't ever ask to be healed....Explain that?
@underoath4794 Remember for God it's not simply just about Him getting glory either. He is not so selfish :).. it blows my mind. Look at Jesus, when he healed people he often told them not tell anyone. He does it SIMPLY BECAUSE He loves us so much!! :D
To those that say God allows it and references Job. Job didn't have Jesus' stripes. To think that your suffering glorifies God is to say Jesus' sacrifice wasn't enought and you have to add to it. That is Selfish! God gave man authority and dominion on this earth. Adam gave it to satan, Jesus took it back! It's not God allowing it, believers are allowing it. To say it is God's will, was a doctrine created by religious people not willing to be who God created them to be in Jesus Christ!
What of the martyrs? Paul says "we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him." (Rom 8:17) And what of Peter and John who give glory to God that they got to suffer for the sake of the Gospel? (Acts 5:40-41)
I don't think suffering/pain is from God, but perhaps you mean to say that it isn't suffering that glorifies him but rather our ATTITUDES in our suffering that glorifies God?
@NecrosVenator Martyrs are not those that die from sickness or disease, but those that have given there lives at the hands of men that are under the influence of satan. Sickness and disease is the result of sin ( not necessarily direct sin of the person ) and Jesus has already paid the price by His stripes. Nowhere does sickness or disease give God glory, it is the healing (destroying that work of the devil) that brings God glory. Attitudes towards sickness should be - I've been healed!
@wghart1 Very beautifully said. Thank you so much! I always get confused when I see people who are sick. You answered my question in a perfect way! People are sick. We are given the authority to heal the sick because of the name of Jesus and because of what Jesus has done on the cross. Now the sicks are healed, and the glory of God is manifested!
@wghart1 Job had sin in his life Job 3:25 it was Job's sin of fear that allowed God to give Satan permission because Job had to repent first God put him on blast in Job 41 and he repented and forgave his friends also that how he was restored Our sins seperate us frm God Isaiah 59. Not correcting you jus adding to your post amen!!!!
@wghart1 but don't you think it's limiting God saying that he doesn't have control over the sickness? Satan has to ask God because nothing is outside of his control. So didn't God allow it? Bill Johnson is saying God didn't allow it.. which means God is not in control. God is good no matter what comes to us.
@themotionaddict2 - God has ultimate authority but that does not mean He is in control of everything. He is not in control when a child is molested, woman raped, ect... He desires all to come to the saving knowledge of the grace of Jesus but not all are saved. He has given man free choice to do as he pleases, even going against God's will. We reap what we sow, yes God allows it but not because it is His will.
@wghart1@wghart1 I loved this video. But one response to a comment on here about Job. Job did have Jesus' stripes over him. Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, so that is before Job was born. Job just didn't have the Revelation of Jesus Christ. But he was healed and delivered from his sickness and disease when God revealed Himself to Job. But I do agree with the way Christians have made sickness a doctrine, it's not found in the scriptures! Jesus has Healed us!!
@JuvieFirst... Um did you miss the whole first part of chapter one and chapter two where God has a conversation with Satan and ALLOWS him (Satan) to plague Job? And the purpose was not so that Job learned some great life lesson but to bring glory to God. When we are so self focused that our immediate comfort is more important than God's glory then we have a serious issue. The men in scripture that you keep referring to that went out and healed the sick( all to bring God glory and proclaim his n
@JesusFan15 God was allowing because Job gave satan the right for two reasons. One he was in fear, and two Job was under satan because satan had dominion because Jesus had not been resurrected yet. Just because God allows something does not mean it is God's will. We have free will and can do what we want. We have the right to reject Jesus but it is God's will that all be saved. God does not kill your kids and put disease on you to teach you a life lesson. That is not a good father.
@closingstages: How can I possibly come to the realization of my sin except that I see myself in the light and *contrast* of His Love? If I believe that God cares about the lowest, the least, and ME personally, enough to cure me of whatever meaningless malady I suffer from, I think I might see how unworthy I am of such attention from the Creator of the universe. We love because He first loved us. Notice this is not read, "... because he first judged us." Judgement is His, but Love He IS.
I believe that God can heal miraculously and perfectly. But he is wrong when he says God doesn't "allow" sickness. He must have skipped the book of Job in the Bible.
@onondo God does NOT allow sickness. He gave US all authority over all the earth. We as the legal rulers on the earth by order of GOD! HE hates sickness, disease! We are to Heal THE sick and raise THE dead!
The Lord said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? "Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say."
@onondo - Bill Johnson was not wrong to have said this, as Job was the one who "allowed" it. He said so himself when he said, "That which I have greatly feared has come upon me." His fear was an open (legal) door for the adversary to march right through.
Jesus healed ALL. Not just the ones who believed. Not the ones deemed "holy" enough. ALL. I prayed for my coworkers puppy who had parvo. She is bisexual, unmarried and has adopted a child with her boyfriend. God healed the puppy. Do you know how many people would have said, "Let her puppy die! Maybe it's God trying to teach her a lesson!" One of those people is my dad. Probably my mom, too. Why is there so much hate in the church? LOVE people and speak truth and healing into people's lives!
@armriley After praying for the puppy did you share the salvation message with these people? Did you share how all are condemed to hell without the repentance of sin and accepting Christ as their savior? Conviction of sin and our repentance and acceptance of Christ's offer of His salvation is the number one most important decision any of us makes, it determines where we are going to spend eternity. I believe As for your dad and your mo

God is most certainly being glorified in that!
underoath4794 1 year ago

I believe that there are times when God always people to remain in sickness, because when we praise God throughout our suffering, that makes Him truly look amazing, (ex: Paul, Job, etc.)
underoath4794 1 year ago
@underoath4794 Jesus healed every sick person that came to Him without exception. Jesus never said to anyone I am going to let you stay sick because it is going to make you a good Christian. We are not called to be disciples of Job or of Paul we are to be disciples of Jesus. Jesus told us to pray let your Kingdom come let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Heaven there is absolutely no sickness and he desires the same on earth. Paul's suffering was persecution not sickness.
rcardona2001 1 year ago
@underoath4794 Just a question for you how many people have you prayed for healing that you seen physically healed? In the past 6 months I have seen well over 100 people physically healed from back problems, knee problems, broken bones mending together instantly, sprains leaving, legs that are shorter than the other growing. This isn't bragging on myself but rather bragging on Jesus. With my own abilities I can't heal people, but Christ in me the hope of Glory can.
rcardona2001 1 year ago
@rcardona2001 Was Jesus not a homeless man? How can you say we are not meant to suffer for the name of Christ. Read any of Paul's letter's and you can't deny that as Christians, we are going to suffer for Christ..It's inevitable. Jesus Christ went through the worst possible pain for us. Could it be that Jesus healed everyone He came to without exception because He knew who to go to? God cares more about our spiritual health than He does our physical health.
underoath4794 1 year ago
@underoath4794 - what about the ones that touched Him and were healed or came to Him. Jesus didn't go to many, they came to Him. It's hard to pick and choose when they come to you. He was asked many times if He was willing. His response was always that He was willing.
wghart1 1 year ago
@rcardona2001 How many people have you prayed for that weren't healed...you can't say that it's been 100% of everyone you prayed for that have gotten healed. What do you say when they don't get healed..you don't have enough faith? What about death? Ultimately, we are all going to die one day....We can't think that death will never come if we just keep healing people.
underoath4794 1 year ago
@rcardona2001 And about the Lord's prayer. God's in heaven. His will is what we are praying for. We can't expect things to be as they will be in heaven right now. This earth is not Heaven right now. It is stained by sin. If we were to expect things now to be as they are in Heaven, why would we pray "give us our daily bread". We won't need anything in heaven. We will be perfect. This is is ruled by Satan..bible says so. We can't expect it to be like heaven right now.
underoath4794 1 year ago
@rcardona2001 This EARTH***** is ruled by satan is what I meant
underoath4794 1 year ago
@underoath4794 you cannot use your experiences to establish doctrine. Jesus paid the price for our healing. By His stripes we were healed - that is past tense. Jesus healed all, and the only we don't see all healed today is because of wrong doctrinal teaching - God may not want them healed - unbelief, condemnation ect... The author of sickness and disease is sin - Satan - and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He came to give life not death.
wghart1 1 year ago
@wghart1 Let me ask you this...did Jesus Raise Lazerus from the dead? Yes...Now where is Lazerus? Dead...We are all going to die eventually due to sin, but according to this healing doctrine, no one will die if you just have enough faith...that's senseless. Everytime Jesus healed someone it was for His own glory and that's why He did it...it wasn't because He was fighting sin. John 9 talks about a blind man who was only blind so that God's glory would be shown in Him.
underoath4794 1 year ago
@underoath4794 - death doesn't have to be due to sickness. The Israelites in the wilderness would give up their spirit when they were ready. I've known of elderly christians that decided they had fulfilled what God had called them to and had passed their wisdom on to the next generation and layed down and "gave up the ghost" as scripture says. They were not sick or dieing.
wghart1 1 year ago
@wghart1 The glory doesn't come from the defeat of sin, it comes from the rejoicing over God's grace and power which can just as easily happen if someone remains in sickness..You can't say that God never gets glory from disease. I have seen it many many times..Whether we are healed, or suffer, it's all about His glory. Nick Vujicic has no arms and no legs but is perfectly happen with his life and lives it for God's glory and wouldn't ever ask to be healed....Explain that?
underoath4794 1 year ago
@underoath4794 Remember for God it's not simply just about Him getting glory either. He is not so selfish :).. it blows my mind. Look at Jesus, when he healed people he often told them not tell anyone. He does it SIMPLY BECAUSE He loves us so much!! :D
atjoslin 9 months ago
To those that say God allows it and references Job. Job didn't have Jesus' stripes. To think that your suffering glorifies God is to say Jesus' sacrifice wasn't enought and you have to add to it. That is Selfish! God gave man authority and dominion on this earth. Adam gave it to satan, Jesus took it back! It's not God allowing it, believers are allowing it. To say it is God's will, was a doctrine created by religious people not willing to be who God created them to be in Jesus Christ!
wghart1 1 year ago 10
@wghart1
NecrosVenator 1 year ago
@NecrosVenator Martyrs are not those that die from sickness or disease, but those that have given there lives at the hands of men that are under the influence of satan. Sickness and disease is the result of sin ( not necessarily direct sin of the person ) and Jesus has already paid the price by His stripes. Nowhere does sickness or disease give God glory, it is the healing (destroying that work of the devil) that brings God glory. Attitudes towards sickness should be - I've been healed!
wghart1 1 year ago

Not correcting you jus adding to your post amen!!!!
jasone62 1 year ago
@wghart1 but don't you think it's limiting God saying that he doesn't have control over the sickness? Satan has to ask God because nothing is outside of his control. So didn't God allow it? Bill Johnson is saying God didn't allow it.. which means God is not in control. God is good no matter what comes to us.
themotionaddict2 1 year ago
@themotionaddict2 - God has ultimate authority but that does not mean He is in control of everything. He is not in control when a child is molested, woman raped, ect... He desires all to come to the saving knowledge of the grace of Jesus but not all are saved. He has given man free choice to do as he pleases, even going against God's will. We reap what we sow, yes God allows it but not because it is His will.

@wghart1 @wghart1 I loved this video.
JayBob510 4 weeks ago
@JuvieFirst... Um did you miss the whole first part of chapter one and chapter two where God has a conversation with Satan and ALLOWS him (Satan) to plague Job? And the purpose was not so that Job learned some great life lesson but to bring glory to God. When we are so self focused that our immediate comfort is more important than God's glory then we have a serious issue. The men in scripture that you keep referring to that went out and healed the sick( all to bring God glory and proclaim his n
JesusFan15 1 year ago

God created all people, deaf or blind, He created life. The fall of man is what cause us to have these conditions not the will of God.
feedmypeoplejoy 1 year ago
I believe that God can heal miraculously and perfectly. But he is wrong when he says God doesn't "allow" sickness. He must have skipped the book of Job in the Bible.
onondo 1 year ago
@onondo God does NOT allow sickness. He gave US all authority over all the earth. We as the legal rulers on the earth by order of GOD! HE hates sickness, disease! We are to Heal THE sick and raise THE dead!
feedmypeoplejoy 1 year ago
@feedmypeoplejoy What about this: Exodus 4:11-12 (NASB)
The Lord said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? "Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say."
raideragent 1 year ago

LOVE people and speak truth and healing into people's lives!
armriley 1 year ago
@armriley After praying for the puppy did you share the salvation message with these people? Did you share how all are condemed to hell without the repentance of sin and accepting Christ as their savior? Conviction of sin and our repentance and acceptance of Christ's offer of His salvation is the number one most important decision any of us makes, it determines where we are going to spend eternity. I believe As for your dad and your mo
