The 1950s were just the beginning of the Montreal Canadiens' dynasty. In fact, they were the NHL's best team of the 50s, 60s and 70s (15 Stanley Cup titles from 1955-56 to 1978-79).
I have to disagree the team in the 50's had 6 players from it named to THN 50 greatest players as opposed to the 70's only having three.They also had 3 of the top 10 players of all time and had 3 different art ross winners and thats not even counting the rocket.
