  • @lukecyrus i can feel strong Hendrix influence in your playing. Very nice.

  • What kind of guitar is this and where can I get one? You sound great and it made my day.

  • very nice playing =) Nice sound. Love the John Mayer style in this tune=)

    Best Regards from Germany.

  • One of my most favorite lukecyus tunes. It never gets old.

It is so very soothing to "my own personal soul".

  • This reminds me of an Otis Redding song called Champagne and Wine. Steve Cropper on guitar.

  • how come so many people say that the strings come off on these guitars? I use .12 strings, if I get this guitar, should I have a problem?

  • That's really good! How many differrent guitars and sounds do you have?

  • Very nice! I am GAS-ing for a Jazzmaster now.

  • Great loved it I was thinking this is in standard but had no idea it had a capo on the 4th lol 10 mins before it dawned on me. I could almost play it back when it did dawn on me. C, F G Am with added 6ths and 9ths mostly.

  • I just proposed to my girlfriend on sunday. This was playing in the background. Thanks for the memory :)

  • what color is that jag?

  • @hsp882 candy apple red

  • absolutly wonderfull,

  • Great playing man.

I'd like to ask you this too: is there a specific reason why you have removed the mute gimmick from the bridge of the jag or did you never really look into it?

    Thanks

  • Great job. Love the sound of that Jag. What are you plugged into?

Also, what is the name of that song? Very pretty.

  • Great sense of rhythm, and the Jag has a sweet sound.

  • It takes a lot to be able to carry a song without a band on an electric guitar. Sounds great! love listenin to your music man! D

  • this is great...very soulful indeed.

Im a classical guitarist looking to venture into the blues and jazz guitar. I learn mostly by method...do you have any advice for a method I could pick up to learn this style? What method did you learn by? Or did you learn by ear?

  • awesome man sounds just great thanks

  • Yea sounds good, I could do with out the scarf and all the head bobbing .

    Grimace

  • Scarves are awesome!

  • Love Your Style =)

  • love the sound you're getting! it's the slightly overdriven goodness I love coaxing from my Jaguar. Are those the original pickups and electronics in the guitar or are they after - market?

  • Very nice stuff, would love to hear the blues stuff on a Jag. . would be different. What is on your neck? Something jump up and grab you? Thanks!

  • Man, I loved your sounds. Great player with great tones. Thanks for sharing your music.

  • thats beautiful man..did you write that? if not what is it? I need to learn that one..love the soul vibe..great sound..and great dynamics..

  • Hats off!!!!

  • you rule man nice playinn 5 stars in all your vids!!!! if you could check mine too, it wil be an honor for me...haha

  • I listend to this track once again after a long time and it wasn´t until half way through that I realised that there was no band, no backing track, no loops, nothing. just you and your guitar! need to say more?

  • Better than the acoustic version, i believe. Your sound is a lot like frusciante's under the bridge tone. do those tones mainly come from the jaguar (i believe he played one as well) or is there something special with the amps too?

    Great soulful guitarist!

  • Definiely the Jaguar, it really has a great sounds of its own. Frusciante used a Marshall for under the bridge, and I have a Fender, slightly overdriven, so I'd say it's the guitar. Thanks!!

  • @lukecyrus Hi great playing. Im thinking about buying a gibson lp or a fender jag, Which guitar would you prefer? Also, which is better as a lead guitarist?

  • @TheBurnBurbage I/m not lukecyrus, but it depends on what you're playing and what gear you are already using.

  • @TheBurnBurbage Go to a shop and play them all and pick what you like, why is everyone asking this guy what they should get, you still will not sound like him with exact same gear. Good luck if your still searching,, I say get one of everything:)

  • Danke lukecyrus :)

    Herzliche Grüsse aus Polen :)

  • I need help ... I want buy Fender® `62 Jaguar made in Japan ... its good guitar ?

I want sound just like this guy on viedeo.

    lukecyrus ... Great Music ! :)

  • Sure, they're good guitars. If you can, find a shop that has more than one, and pick the one that sounds best, they always soiund a little different. When you got one, put 11 gauge strings on it.

  • nice1

  • can't stop watch'in your vids! what a great groove!! And you have an endless supply of hatchets!!!

  • whether its 100,000 people, your family members, or your dog, the feeling is just the same for real musicians.

  • Ah, yeah, anyway...

  • arioz1 please. go fuck yourself. who are you to tell him what to wear and how to play the guitar? lukecyrus, keep playin the way you are. you are enjoying yourself playing guitar, and stage presence is just as big of a factor as talent is. so arioz1, just shut up.

  • So polite.

  • great freakin tone!

  • just beautiful

  • Luke, you are by far the most awesome guitar player i've seen on YouTube. Your styles are limitless and I get a lot of inspiration to play from you! If anyone has a great guitar collection, it's you. Any bass playing videos??

  • a LOT of soul!

  • Wow, you are really good!! Enjoyed this very much. Keep it up!

  • is that a pink floyd song?!

  • nope

  • i metioned it because it reminds me the ''lost for words'' from the division bell album

  • bin sprachlos,...............so much feelin and sounds

  • sounds good dude

  • Man I was hearing words in that beautiful music,..."A Place Where We Can Go" Maybe we could collaborate a little on this tune? If not I understand as well, thanks for sharing!! Mark

  • nice chord progressions!

  • ahh , the indoor scarf

  • i feel that

  • This is amazing, what's this song Luke ? I want to play it

  • Jolie l'harmonique finale !!

  • Pretty cool. i have the same guitar only mine has a matching headstock.

  • what are you tuned too? and what tubes are you using? Also, is that a vintage or reissue Vibroverb?

  • wow great playing 5/5 stars i love it amazing

  • awesome, i love the sound of ur jag bro, plus, u can totally pull off that scarf look, all around very awesome

  • Excellent!!!!

    What feeling!

  • that's beautiful. I need to practice.

  • Nice...Man, how many guitars do you own?

  • Hey nice guitar, i have a 64 jag myself a blonde one. what color is that i cant tell if its been refinished it looks alittle to metallically to be a red they made but maybe im wrong i probably am let me know. cool stuff tho sounds great

  • Came across your video when I was trying to decide on purchasing a Jaguar I found locally. My concern was the ability to play blues and soul on it. Case closed!!!! I bought the guitar. Great tone!

  • Your guitar is talking!

  • Thank you for a nice moment in my day and some inspiration to go play (my guitar).

  • reminds me of "wind cries mary" and "slow dancing in a burning room"

  • verry jimmi hendrix :D

    i like it.

  • i'm enjoying your sounds, thanks for posting!

    that guitar is sweet.

  • I just have to post to tell you that I couldn't even count the number of times I've listened to this over the last few weeks. You are very talented, and while some of your videos show your incredible technique and excellent improvisational skills, this video shows how a great guitarist doesn't need to be flashy to play something beautiful.

  • Thanks!

  • I love your videos, watching them many many times. So a great feeling for the tone & rhythm. Its so amazing.

    Keep your soul, brother.

  • Luke, thank you for this, each time i listen I'm reminded of the truism of complexity of emotion coming through economy of expression, which is the hallmark of genius.

  • wow ur a god

    keep it up

  • love those small sticks in between the chords, sounds alot like jimi's "wind cries mary"!

really nice guitar by the way, i'm saving up money for a jaguar myself.

  • nice playing man... if you ever need some bass playing let me know!

  • Your tone is very Mayerish.

  • There's no need for insults now.

  • Beautiful sound! Nice to hear this amp playing something other than SRV licks. What are your amp setting on this one? Thanks for sharing.

  • Do you have any advice for a guy looking for his first Jaguar but cannot afford a USA made one? Specific models or years that you would recommend?

  • that's a tough one, I was just really lucky when I got mine, it was about half as much as a reissue... The japanese ones are not half bad, though. I'm sure you'd be able to find a used one for a good price. Good luck!

  • you can get a MIM classic player for about $800, ive heard good reports but have not played one yet so cant really vouch for them yet. but theyre out there.

  • Shit.. This guy has some chops

  • AH! ^^ so cool.

du warst auch so hammer beim berlin konzert. WOHOO! rock on!

  • everything about this video is great except that questionable scarf you are wearing.

  • That's some great playing, and the tone is beautiful. I dream of tone like that! Do you mind me asking what your setup is in this vid. What amp/settings, any pedals. Thanks in advance and thanks for sharing the good vibes!

  • Thanks! The setup was just the guitar with the Fender Vibroverb, which is miked up in the next-door room, and turned up pretty loud to get that sweet break up.

  • The Jag with a little bit of overdrive really sounds magical, doesn't it?

  • 4 Sho

  • Wonderful! I really love the guitar and song. Jaguars have to be my favorite electric guitar.

  • damn, you rock!

  • Very nice!...like the vibe. The Jag sounds good.

  • Nice!

  • yes, we'd love to know the chord progression! It's a gorgeous song.

  • ok,ok. The Chords are E and A. The middle part goes down to C#minor, B and A. That's pretty much it...

  • Thanks!

  • And again your jag sounds extremely warm & nice... Congrats on your tune also, gives me chills.

  • Sweet...very hendrix! Can you give us the chord progression?

I cant wait to see more of your videos! Please post more.

  • is an den pickups noch das riffelblech dran und is bei der jaguar noch alles original???

könntest du vllt mal ein viedeo reinstellen beidem du mit zerre auf der jagaur spielst???

ich find die sachen die du spielst richtig gut ...

  • hi!!the jag is made in USA?

  • yes it is, thanks.

  • this is GREAT, is this original?

  • do you mean the tune or the guitar?

  • the tune, the guitar is sick, but i like the song better!
