This is definitely a six gill. I was born and raised in Seattle and do night dives at Cove 2. Most of the sightings are at Cove 2 or the Tacoma Narrows. Six Gills are abundant in the Puget Sound and frequent the shallow waters up to 40 feet and as deep as over 2000 ft. The Seattle Aquarium has been studying them at length for the past decade or so and have cameras set up right under the aquarium and there is a continuous stream of six gills checking it out.

We caught one a couple of months ago, estimated length of at least 4-5 meters, the width of the boat we were fishing in was 4.5 meters, the monster was caught with a reel and rod, jigging technique, in water 180 meters deep, in Indonesia.
Here's the video, /watch?v=fdSk7J2CLIo only the first few minutes shows the shark, the rest of the video is just chaos. LoL
Btw, the fish was released unharmed. In other words, IT'S STILL ALIVE, so don't hate me.
Well it seemed like a six-gill to me but i m curious to know where was this shark sited. Its a primitive species that usually lives up to thousands of meters in the bottom of the sea.. From the divers heavy breathing it should of been around 40 meters or so but still its not that deep for this species..
