  • I don't see how people can believe in God. The chapters in Genesis (the creation story) are just as original as the Roman, Greek, Native American, etc. myths.

  • Religion, in all of its incarnations, is an evil enterprise. There will never be peace in the world until religion becomes extinct.

  • If he's an Atheist I'm sure he's not against christianity, he's against religion...

  • The teacher tells nothing far from the truth

  • Bill is just dumb and proud of it, in my blunt oppinion.

  • so i can sue for my physics teacher talking about god? wait never mind its just a one way streak

  • Comment removed

  • Clause is too big of a word for this man.

  • Dr. Cobett is such a good teacher. Told us Chad slept through his class mostly anyways.

  • One way to fill his parent's pockets.

  • Oh I feel so bad for that kid! He can't learn because someone isn't Christian! OH NOOO!! He feels he is being forced to not believe! But oh wait....In america we get freedom of speech. Grow little boy.

  • i would love to take that class too! why can't i get the whole class audio? oH! i know why.... because there are censors out there. i get a little bit, but not the whole thing. but i can get the whole thing if i pay 129.99 for the complete set.

but the rules of that is; i can't distribute it to my friends or i might pay a fine or up to 2500 dollars in fines(or go to jail if you can not pay)

    that's freedom, baby!

  • You can't have truth when you believe in magic. Education > Religion and I challenge anyone of faith to prove me wrong. And they must do it through mime as using the internet or a pencil proves my point. Thanks.

  • I want to take that class!

  • If this guy was christian and was attacking Islam would Fox have reported that as disgusting?

  • @StuartG001 No fox news is constantly bashing on Islam

  • @alechertrocks Maybe because Islam are a bunch of dirty mother fuckers who wanna kill Americans?

  • @BUDx2 Hahaha. Stop watching FOX News and go talk to some Muslims. You might even make friends with them.

  • Didn't go to principle, went to lawyers. Student got pulled out for believing something? Really?!?!

  • FOX News is not actually news. . .Christians are not a poor minority. . .

  • Much respect to James Corbett

  • America need more teachers like this guy.

  • @TheGamerDrone America need more indoctrinators?

  • @TheGamerDrone I took a class with him

  • OMG this country is fucking retarded

  • I'm with the teacher. Isn't he supposed to be teaching the kids truth?

  • I had all sorts of teachers flaunt their political views and beliefs on the class..Some were more suttle then others, but it happens. The point is, to make up your own fucking mind and stop being a crybaby because other people have opposing opinions.

  • "He didn't understand so much...he started believing what he was saying so his parents pulled him out of the class" That kid has experienced enlightenment.

  • "It's wrong there's no question!" oh well thats that then.

  • heaven help us we teach reality to kids just push the jesus story..talking snakes, mass floods, incest re-population, forbidden fruits. sounds like a cool teacher to me

  • THEY ARE SHOT DOWN BY this teacher because their faery tale has no basis. Religion is control. "The opiate of the masses". But they can shove their creation story off as alternative "science"

  • this is ridiculous, he's not saying "don't believe in god", or "god is wrong", all he's saying is that you can't base your opinion on an answer because of religion. he never once mentioned christian people, so they can't say he's attacking christians, and he never said anything wrong about any religion, he's just saying that you can't look through history and can't base things off of that.

  • i love the end of this video when dumb ass bill says your not alone!

when Athiests put up a billboard saying your not alone, christians are quick to take it down. Chad if you not happy about the truth go to a christian school, where you can say God did it to every questions and you get A everywhere except in PE, why didnt god make me like Michael Jordan

  • Damn, if this is the case, i should sue my christian high school physics teacher for calling the people who discovered cosmic microwave background radiation "evolutionary pigs working the logic of satan." I was highly offended.

  • fuck wee chad boo hoo,boo hoo, poor old usa he,s your future

  • Ah those poor christians, your hurting their feelings with truth. Stop it you big bully they can't handle the truth.

  • @corktech "We want the TRUTH!" --Christians

"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!" --Atheists

  • @Ringwaul right if the truth is in your bible than i dont want it because it is wrong

  • Chad is one of those secret gays. I accept you chad

  • Chad let me just say... Go fuck yourself.

  • @xXMaJoRxSnIpEzXx I second that!

  • see theirs nothing wrong with saying religion isnt right, but bashing them non stop everyday, he shoukd be fired, however people need to acceot reality, and understand that god isnt real

  • This is not a problem with what was being taught, surly from reading just a few comments there are people who would like this to be taught to their kids and those who would not. This is a problem with PUBLIC schools. If we could have our property tax money back we could afford to send our kids to public schools. and because the need for private schools would increase you would see an increase in private schools and they wouldn’t all be churches.

  • @ixxjoexxi I could swear i heard clapping in the recording

  • @ixxjoexxi I could swear i heard clapping in the recording. wow i guess i need to finish the clip, turned her daughter into an atheist intellectual.

  • lol fox news asking if they asked if it was fair and balanced.

  • This teacher should move to Europe and teach in our schools. This is pretty much what we teach people in public schools. Frankly it's true - religion was used by the ruling class to keep the power structure as it was.

Why do you think our nobility coined the term "divine right to rule?" So you couldn't dispute the king because he was chosen by god.

Come on America, be the secular state you claim to be...

  • I really want this teacher ^__^

  • "...turned their daughter into a christian hating know it all". See? Teachers do good things. Although what PROBABLY happened was that their daughter just stopped believing and chose not to go to church anymore and brought up good points about why the teachings of the bible are full of moral corruption etc. and like most christians, not agreeing/believing in their religion = god hate; and whenever their parents fight with her to get her into the car on Sunday, they see it that way even more

  • I guess it depends what he's being sued for.

  • What is admirable about a public educator wasting time--and money--preaching an off-topic personal opinion to a captive audience? This was clearly abusive to the students who don't have a choice whether to listen to what the teacher has to say. Perhaps it is no wonder christians have such a hard time understanding why teachers should not lead students in the "god we trust" chant. This concept seems beyond the understanding of most people, weather they are religious or not.

  • Nice to see that hypocrite O'Reilly championing the right of children to be protected from indoctrination, based on someone else's personal and arbitrary religious opinion.

Now maybe he understands why it is important to keep institutionally led prayers, and other forms of enforced superstitious bullshit away from America's children?

  • @Tobytrim Exactly. I'm tired of educators using their position of power as a bully pulpit to forward a personal agenda. Personal politics and education need a wall of separation between them. (pun intended).

  • "What Religion are you?"

    "We're Christian."

Herpderp, there's plenty of Christianities, mate

  • @Papaconstantopoulos I love when these idiots answer that. "We're Christian." Dolt.

  • if the kid was muslim i doubt they would bring him on o'reilly.

  • first off I'm just gonna say I agree with this kid and his lawyer even though I'm agnostic and the funny thing is Faux News' hypocrisy saying an atheist saying that stuff in a school is violation of church and state but their politicians continue to try to push for a more god centered government.

  • @nick4leader Fox is a great conduit of valid news, however, this idiot, O'Reilly, is not a NEWS person. He's a commentator, and a bad one at that.

I'm really sick of religion, and the fakers on TV and radio who wear their religion on their sleeves. Also, when we speak out, they blast us. But they find it offensive when we call them on their BS.

  • Comment removed

  • Damn that kid is a DUMBASS please dont sue me for fucking freedom of Speech.

  • Homeschool and reading 3 to 5 books a week is path of Genius. The schools are meant to indoctrinate not educate. Read Aleister Crowley Book 4 ,Frederich Nietzsche The Antichrist and Zaruthsa or whatever read Eric Hoffer True Believer. Books school will never let u see. Forget it be a good slave go watch Jerry springer lol

  • Americans are so brainwashed. Lol the 13th amendment if I read it , homework would be against the Constitution. And forced memorization is path of imbecile. Testing is not teaching and only a sheeple would answer to a Bell. Homeschool I mean any book reader and psychiatrist will tell u that Christianity fits all 15 criteria for a cult. So the teacher is right but should not have stated at ur sheeple programming center which is what K-12 is I understand ure parents are dumb is why ure in k-12.

  • That teacher was in the wrong. He shouldnt have been discussing his personal opinion about religion.

  • @SammyHales freedom of speach covers personal opinons about eveything

  • @Bicthslave Freedom of speech has nothing to do with this. In a public education setting, teachers are not given license to teach whatever they want. There are some pretty basic guidlines, and going off on tangents that have little to do with the curriculum--and directed towards a captive audience--is not a guaranteed right.

  • @SammyHales Religious freaks have been teaching whatever they want forever. It's about time.

  • It's a shame that the kid actually won the case. Maybe Chad could have stopped being a pussy and asked the teacher to stop bashing his precious cult. But at least Chad prayed for his teacher; it didn't help though. (SHOCKER)

  • ofcourse he laughed when they said to show both sides of the story, there is no other side

  • Does this loser still have is own TV program?

  • Look at his lawyer! That man is a ghoul.

  • Fuck you, Chad.

  • Even if the teacher takes it too far, he is right. Studying the old christian faith in europe, you can see how the farmers were really oppresed by their own faith. The farmers were taxed to the starvingpoint, and the churches = not taxed at all.

    Makes you very pissed.

  • Chad if i ever met you i'd punch fuck out of you =]

  • Why is it that any time there's a conflict of interest between a religious person and agnostic/atheist, the religious person always gets so fearful and aggressive? So much for peaceful people.

  • lol what the man said didnt really sound hostile

  • If the teacher has nothing better to do then go on about religion then how much history are the kids learning?

"Jesus Glasses" ? Sounds more like something for a sociology class then History to be honest.

  • @auraofgloom It's a European history class. Christianity shaped the entire history of Europe; it's perfectly reasonable to consider religion.

  • @DoomSlap Your right that Christianity in various forms did have a big cultural and historical influence on European history. If he was talking about the reformation, or the counter reformation, the crusades, the re-conqista or the various heresies that were put down or had a social influence then he would be teaching history.

Teaching that the state puts 'jesus glasses' on the populace is (at best) SOCIOLOGY or (more prob) political theory. Fun to debate but not the same as history.

  • I'm an atheist, and I'd say that what this teacher is doing is wrong

  • @2nDoppelganger Yeah I'm with you. I have to agree, he was wrong for doing this. He isn't going to hell though.

  • @Airmanf7 Lmao no one is going to hell

  • @sammarmite. Your right. Thank you.

  • Chad and Bill have the Jesus glasses on right now.

  • what a sneaky money grabbing little shit, Did he know you were recording?" er Im not aware I just put the recorder down in my backpack everyday" Did you confront home yourself? "er no, I'm not scared either just that everyone else who did got shot down" (sounds scared to me) So another parent took there kid out the class (there choice) but WE took it to our lawyer for MONEY!! ha ha I hope they enjoy there pieces of silver..

  • oh and i love it how christians use the 'unconstitutional' line when its their religion being attacked, but when atheism or other religions say the same thing it doesnt matter what the constitution says, its just "god is mentioned four times in the dec. of indep." blah blah bla

    faggots

  • fuckin kid should be counting himself lucky to have a good teacher. in fact he should be kicked in the butt for being such a little christfag.

  • At 2:09 He states "I'm not French." What?

  • I think this history teacher should get a medal.

  • lol we should have a international slap a christian on both cheeks dayslol jk calm down furious christains you guys just get all angry fast to fun later gotta find my bible its where i roll my joints before having premaridle sex dressed as a nun listening to eminem and my pug his names lucifer faaaace later guys hail cheesedoodles

  • Evolution is taught in schools too, isn't that also offending Christians?

  • @Muneeb911 Yeah, it is offensive to idiot Christians, and I'm not sure, but I think some schools allow you to opt out of being taught evolution.

I don't care what your beliefs are, evolution is a god damn fact. You should either be forced to learn about it or you fucking fail.

The problem with so many people scoffing at evolution is they never learned about it. They know absolutely NOTHING about evolution, but they're just so sure that it's wrong.

  • So this little shit was just looking for a lawsuit... What a tool.

  • Yeah I don't see the issue with what the teacher said that is 100% correct.

  • It is illegal to speak the truth in America. If you dare to do it, be prepared to face the inquisition or possible assasination!

  • Only in America could someone get sued for teaching truth.

  • @theUSER101 Sadly, this is true. We are supposed to be a Democratic country but with over 90% of the people worshiping God it sure doesn't feel that way. Believers seem to have a rabid need to cram religion into every facet of their lives, and in doing so, all of our lives. Unfortunately our government is more of a Totalitarian Theocracy these days than a true Democracy.

  • @dameonk Just like Communism, a true Democracy is theoretical.

  • @theUSER101 amen to that

  • @theUSER101 Only in America can someone get sued for breaking the Constitution. Let me tell you how to distinguish Truth from lies. Truth will always lead to good. Those who follow truth with their whole life will always end up being a person that loves others, that has a joy about them and has self-control. People who believe lies will always end up hating others and living miserable selfish lifestyles. The question to ask then is, what are you following and where will it lead?

  • @theUSER101 Was thinking the exact same.

  • Lol all my teachers say oh my god, or holy christ, if this atheist teacher is fired, then every single teacher I have who says oh my god, or holy christ should also get fired. These christians twist the word of the Constitution to benefit them, but when an atheist starts talking about the Constitution, the christians are like you don't have any rights.

  • The kid should have had the balls to bring his complaint to the teacher first. The teacher's presentation was not necessarily right, (though I do agree with his views). Maybe the teacher showed poor judgment in the way he was preaching. But the kid and his parents should have brought it up to him before slapping the guy with a suit. Then, if he had kept it up, then he should have been sued.

  • Oh oh, he has an atheist club...quick lock him up!

  • Kid is a tool.

  • Is that like beer googles? sounds accurate

  • I like how Bill says one-way questions and always repeat what the boy says constantly.

  • Even as an atheist, I don't condone the teacher's behavior...not for public highschool. In college, yes -- everything goes. But he sounds preachy. I have to look at it this way -- what if it was the opposite? What if it was a christian conservative ranting about how evil liberal atheists are? I wouldn't tolerate that as a student or parent of one...so I can understand how those who have worldviews different from mine (and, yes, the conservative christians are waaaay wrong in my book) would feel.

  • @fotwunny I agree but there are Christian teachers that preach to there class. SOME of them might get in trouble but it sure as hell wouldn't have been in the news. I know if I tried to sue one of my teachers in high school for preaching religion to the class I would have won in a lawsuit. Oh and btw "One nation under GOD" yea thats gotta stop.

  • insecure bigots 1 reason 0, dog bless america

  • and now they pull out the seperation of religion ans state

  • i wanna smack the shit out of that lil whiteboy

  • taking teachers to court for giving a class he doesn't agree with, what a world.

  • BS. Teachers should not discuss religion in public schools. I bet that teacher would be pissed if another teacher was preaching or whatever. That just exposes most people's hypocrisy. They hate when bias, but only when it's against them. It doesn't matter if the teacher was right about whatever he said. He just cannot say it, it's that simple.

  • My AP World History Teacher from last year said he was going to the Pedophiles mansion, tha Vatican, I was the onlky that started laughing all the other students were a bit shocked of what he said, he was a great teacher but I never asked him if he was an Atheist or not, im pretty sure he was.

  • I want that teacher, badass motherfucker

  • @edgarreyes14 Indeed.

  • I had a mormon history teacher when I was a junior and he was ALWAYS telling LIES about shit... straight up lies about what happened in the past.... USELESS

  • The teacher was only being rational. Religions are rediculous beliefs.

  • @MrJohnnyrace well. youve just proven that atheists cant spell. its "ridiculous" my dumb atheist friend.

  • @jkadkhod2792

Lol i love your logic. One nonreligious person can't spell one word, therefore that one person can't spell, therefore all nonreligious people can't spell, therefore that person is stupid, therefore all nonreligious people are stupid

    Non sequitur logic anyone? XD

  • @jkadkhod2792

What an epic win for you. I think I may have to convert after witnessing that devastating critique of the atheist position.

  • The "best" country in the world still living in a primitive society. Religion thoughts will be seen as the most retarded thing humanity has ever come across in let's say 150 years (I'm a very optimistic guy)...

  • @todomusika I agree...the opposition of independent rational thinking is beginning to seem like a bigger American "oopsie" than slavery.

  • Why are so many people defending this teacher? Using class time to push his ideology... almost every day? And the bit of the recording of him makes him sound like a ranting and raving lunatic.

Same would apply if he were ranting about politics - imagine a history teacher, every day, going off about the evil motivations and terrible consequences of communism, or the free market, or whatever. It's harmful and not the place of a high school history teacher.

  • This student sounds like such a dumbass. He can hardly even form a sentence.

But he's a devout Christian and he's American so he'll probably end up president some day.

  • How is that interfering with free speech? I bet it wasn't him, but his parents that wanted him to sue his teacher. I will admit his bias, but if you look at the dark ages... You could buy your way into heaven, the poor were told if they did not believe then they would burn in hell. The teacher is right.. Historically speaking, religion has done so much wrong. The lawyer misread that part of the constitution, but I bet he won. Ugh..

  • OMG THATS MY NEIGHBOR

  • Dude advocates for Faith and freedom? A little contradictory I would say.

  • Bet anything that if it was an athiest taping a teacher preaching religious bullshit, o'rielly would call him out on the illegality of tapiing someone without permission.

  • I bet as soon as a christian begins bashing atheism in a similar fashion....

    ....Bill is right behind him.

  • I have Dr. Corbett 6th period. He just tries to provoke thought, he's not against any religion except those that are like afraid of witches. Also, the quotes were out of context, and Chad shouldn't have been taping him anyway...

  • isn't it illegal to tape someone without there permission?

  • @MrStonedJosh

    not if its ur wife

  • What did he say wrong? should he just ignore the fact that religion fucked the world up repeatedly? Dont teach religions bad side or else!

  • Money grabbing Christian bastards.

  • Dr. James Corbett keep up the good work

  • I heard that this teacher sucks, even my AP Euro teacher said that corbett was not a good teacher.

  • Technically, I agree. This is illegal. But you know, no one would honestly report this if he was preaching Christianity.

  • This country is scary ... atheists are supposed to remain silent at all times, whenever an atheist does anything to draw some attention, signs, billboards, anything really it makes people go into a rage, they whine and cry about their religion being picked on ... it's just plain scary, I'm waiting for a holocost, the christians would love to see all the atheist gone ... this country is so messed up.

  • The teacher is my hero

  • this kid is gay

  • But the teacher is right!

  • I find it typically ignorant of Christians to say the thigns like BOTH SIDES OF A STORY Both sides? What like 1 - Atheism 2 - Christyianity 3 - Islam Oh? 4-Hindu 5-Budhism Hang on , erm, wait... 6-Shinto 7-Judaism No, this is not fair ... No, its not fair... Both sides my arse! Christianity is only one tiny side of a many sided die
  • I would most likely punch that insecure prick in the face. Who wears a letterman jacket to an interview? He obviously has no respect of any opinions other than his own (which his parents brainwashed him to believe).

  • RETARDED ATHIESTS.... god does exist

  • @IfinduIgetu RETARDED CREATIONIST...no he does not

  • @edwinm1 fuck off we have just as much proof as you do that he does exsist.... im not gonna message you back cause i dont like starting arguments with retards

  • @IfinduIgetu Is he hidden in your ass cause we've never had any proof of this whole mighty superhero.

  • @TheAmazingstarman never seen the proof of your "big bang either" you can have the last word because im not messaging you back why i dont like starting arguments with retards

  • @IfinduIgetu Well at least our theory is scientific, it doesn't involve a magic guy living in the sky lol

  • @IfinduIgetu

Actually, the scientists do indeed think that they do in fact have the proof of a big bang.

Its gone past the "Just a theory" stage because the tests they are doing are comign back and the proof is piling up very stringly for the big bang.

So, it is official that there was indeed a huge explosion about 16.4 Billion years ago.

Science does not know teh answers to everything, but it knows more and more and more each day... its only a matter of time before the unknown becomes known

  • « So, it is official that there was indeed a huge explosion about 16.4 Billion years ago. »

    Coupla things.

    1. No such thing as "just a" scientific theory. Look up the definition of 'scientific theory'.

    2. Theories are never proven. See 1.

    3. Big Bang is not an explosion.

    4. The actual estimate for the beginning of the expansion is 13.7 billion years ago.

Other than that: keep up the good work.

  • @XGralgrathor

1 - Nit picking does not change results

2 - Not quite. When a Theory is proven, its no longer a theory.

3 - Big Bang is only a term used and an Explosion is the best guess of what really could have happened.

4 - 13.7 ? I suppose you got that from Wiki. No, its 16.4 at a minimum and thats only because current technology can see as far as 16.4 Billion Light years. Since thats our limit on how far we can see, there is a strong change the age is more... We just cannot see that far

  • « Nit picking does not change results »

Non-sequitur. I repeat: No such thing as "just a" scientific theory. Look up the definition of 'scientific theory'.

« When a Theory is proven, its no longer a theory. »

I repeat: a theory (as in evolutionary theory, Big Bang theory, quantum mechanics, relativity theory) is an explanatory model. It is never proven. It can only be confirmed or rejected.

  • @XGralgrathor

    ....And...

    DILLIGAF?

  • « DILLIGAF? »

Don't know. You're seem to be arguing that your information rather than mine is correct. I give a fuck. Do you?

  • « Explosion is the best guess of what really could have happened »

Wrong. Again: the term Big Bang is a term used to indicate the initial rapid expansion of spacetime. Not an explosion in space, but an expansion of space.

  • « No, its 16.4 at a minimum »

No. The accepted figure is around 13.7, and this the scientists who published the latest refinements of this figure have some very solid data substantiating their estimate. It stands at 13.7.

  • @XGralgrathor

You say 13, I say 16, I bet you can prove its 13 every bit as much as I can prove its 16.

And of course whether its 13 or 16. This proves... what?

  • « You say 13, I say 16 »

The scientific consensus, based on Big Bang theory and distribution and temperature of Cosmic Background Radiation is 13.75 ± 0.17 by. It may be that a minority propose a much higher figure, but that is not the commonly accepted view. I support the scientific majority in this one.

  • « This proves... what? »

I dunno. Just providing more accurate data.

  • « god does exist »

Really? That's nice. Would you care to demonstrate the accuracy of that claim?

  • @XGralgrathor I TOLD EVERYONE I WAS NOT GOING TO MESSAGE THEM BACK, I DONT LIKE STARTING ARGUMENTS WITH IDIOTS. IM NOT MESSAGING YOU BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • « I DONT LIKE STARTING ARGUMENTS »

    Then don't post obvious falsehoods.

  • God forbid anyone should shine a light on the true nature of the dogmatic absurdity that is religion. religion is just a cage with a fancy paint job.

  • this kid looks like SUCH an asshole looking to cash in. A few crocodile tears and feigning emotional damage and he'd be swimming in cash.

  • I'm wondering what the rest of that lecture was about. I'm thinking it was about the history of scientific and social development of Europe.

  • 1:35

O'Reilly: OK, just checking to make sure we're on the same side...
