  • Hey jafro I own a 1g and is there ever a need to replace the grommets/bushings at the end of the C?

  • TOOL kicks ass...

  • hey man i want you to six my gsx 90

  • @Jafromobile Sorry about the suspense, lol. Ok, this is kind of long so I am going to put it as a message to you. For anyone else who needs the details feel free to message me and I will forward it to you.

  • @Jafromobile I just wanted to let you know I figured out WHY people are having the problem with the B&M shifter. Now I need to figure out the HOW to fix it. I will have some more information for you tonight.

  • @MichaelCosta84 As someone who has that shifter in his car, I have to say...

You know how to keep a Jafro in suspense.

I've heard 3 people tell me it's junk out of 4 people with an opinion, but I've never had the first issue with it anywhere at any time. The problem I fixed in this video was actually the OEM portion of the assembly. lol. You've got me scratchin' my head trying to imagine what can go wrong?

  • I WISH U WERE MY MECHANIC!!

  • ooh hope you disconnected the battery before welding in there :o

  • @RGTGAME :O You know, I didn't...

Wow. Oops. Yeah well, I lucked out big time. They were just 3 little spots, and my ground clamp was only inches away on the same part, and that's probably what saved me. Car runs perfectly fine. I've been driving it for a few days since without any issues.

Don't do what I did... or do what I did, just disconnect your battery first. :D

  • Yes absolutely. All the individual parts' numbers are at the end of the video. If you can't google it and find it easily, you'll probably need to take a journey to the dealership. Either that or the junkyard which would probably cost 1/10th as much and get you the part today. The bushings do wear out eventually but since there are 6 of them in every 2g shifter, if you find one car out there, you've probably found as many as you need. Get the whole shifter. A spare shifter is a great thing!

  • @Jafromobile Rock on with TooL. Anyway are those copper bushings sold separately. I did bend one of mine but I bent it back into place decently, but may a replacement will be in order.

  • @Jafromobile - I was not suprised to see that you're a Tool fan. I'm a going to see A Perfect Circle July 26th.

  • @ProjectCarTV You lucky dogg! I knew you were a left-coast kinda guy. That concert sold out in the blink of an eye. Just imagine if they had produced an new album. They've been quite for years outside of a DVD release.

All the dates anywhere within 8 hours of me landed in the busiest part of my calendar year. I hope I get to hear some good music this summer (and that Soundgarden finishes what they started well over a year ago in the studio).

  • @Jafromobile Oh I will be sneaking in a video camera - don't worry. I got some good seats too - $70 a ticket.
