The new China was founded in 1949, two years after India's independency, before that, we had to deal with the invasion from the Western countries and Japan for almost 100 years. If I remember right, there was no major war happened in India in WW1 or WW2, so your economy didn't suffer alot from the losts of the wars.
BTW, China also claim that it's the richest county on earth before 1800, so I personally don't believe India is the richest.

India has a long way to go. Mind refinement of young people has to change. change is always not easy to accept i just hope it won`t loose its own identity as indians can be easily swayed by anyone. On top of that when we talk about developing & living together which i think is bit tricky in india as there are lots of hurdles within our own culture & religion which cause lots of problem. British used that weakness and ruled india, i think sooner india realise its weakness better it is for india.
I have been to India in 2006 and 2007. I was surprised at the development but at the same time huge problem of population and corruption all time when i left. Its realy hard to say if india has developed or is just the number we in west are getting impressed with. I think only cities have seen some developments if you to villages or small town you won`t notice any difference. Development can not be segregated infact it could lead to problem and split societies.

China's GDP/person is about two times higher than India's today. But 40 years ago, India's GDP/person is about 2 times higher than China's....

Also, please don't blame on colonization, cause both HongKong and Singapore can became rich after they were colonized by British, they said the British social and financial system help them alot to their development. So why India will became poorer after colonization?? The only reason I have is--it's because we have different kind of people living in these places.Chinese are living in HongKong and Singapore,but there are Indians living in India, and that's why India is still poor but HK is rich.

The new China was founded in 1949, two years after India's independency, before that, we had to deal with the invasion from the Western countries and Japan for almost 100 years. If I remember right, there was no major war happened in India in WW1 or WW2, so your economy didn't suffer alot from the losts of the wars.
BTW, China also claim that it's the richest county on earth before 1800, so I personally don't believe India is the richest.

India has a long way to go. Mind refinement of young people has to change. change is always not easy to accept i just hope it won`t loose its own identity as indians can be easily swayed by anyone. On top of that when we talk about developing & living together which i think is bit tricky in india as there are lots of hurdles within our own culture & religion which cause lots of problem. British used that weakness and ruled india, i think sooner india realise its weakness better it is for india.

I have been to India in 2006 and 2007. I was surprised at the development but at the same time huge problem of population and corruption all time when i left. Its realy hard to say if india has developed or is just the number we in west are getting impressed with. I think only cities have seen some developments if you to villages or small town you won`t notice any difference. Development can not be segregated infact it could lead to problem and split societies.

I always think that both China and India are the greatest developing countries, and both doing pretty good in economic developments. But it's true that China is doing better than India now. Maybe in the future, India will catch up and surpass China, who knows.

I swear to God, I personally never saw a Indian movie in the U.S. before. But the Chinese moives and American movies with Chinese elements (such as, "KungFu Panda") are quite popular in here. Acutally, Chinese culture is lot more popular and accepted in North America than Indian culture.
I guess the Indian movies should be quite popular in Southern Asia, cause Inida seems the only country that can make movies in that region.
I have question, can Indians afford a cellphone?

i like chinese people! they speak/understand english when it suit to their need.
they work very hard but end up doing a wrong product. takes too much time to finish any job when u tell them they say they get very less money. still great people. its a fun working with them

Mu uncle didn't mean to take photos of the dirty streets. He just went out and took photos! Of course there are beautiful places in the city, but to be honest, most of the streets that I saw on the photos were dirty....
I personally never said China is super good, or so. But I do think China is better than India in living environment and living standards.
