Yeah very strange that Blizzard added northrend in wotlk and not from the beginning like in Warcraft 3. So the same story of wc3 in wow... Great job blizz

@0815Fritzchen Its pretty obvious that there was a plan detailing the fact that Northrend would be added later on as an expansion pack if the game ever survived that long. I'm more than positive that Blizzard was not sure of its own success in the MMO business and even then classic Warcraft was big enough on its own, with lore discussing the Lich King and Northrend from the beginning. Most of what you've played and are still playing was all thought up years ago, these are not new stories.

@ChemiiOneLegacy Northrend was even in the vanilla map, which shows they planned to release it. (If you zoomed out all the way on the map, you could see Northrend surrounded by clouds. You can still see it today in WoW)
