hey there,

thanks for your help is really appriciated however.... i have modelsim installed on my laptop and well , even alone after installing all the java things got the location as specified in your instructions. when i paste it to the path variable for user i use ";" to seperate the two paths it wont recognize the javac command- any idea whats going wrong?

i tried to do it solely but it still wont recognize it.

1. you can customise camtasia studio to record in 720 or 1080...this way youtube will score higher your videos beeing HD.

2. you really don't have to spend 3 minutes on how to download and install jdk... we are not retarded you know.. if someone watches this tutorial they do have some basic skills...

@vash1053 Java sucks? Really? Java is 100% portable between computers, and Operating systems with no code changes. C++, and other main languages, you need to change so much to make it more portable.

Java, you can pretty much read like you would a book. You can read a very advanced program source in java, and know exactly what every line does. It doesn't have awkward commands that you don't understand.

I can't even fit the rest on here why Java is so much better.

I added C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_25\bin to my system variables 'Path' instead of user variables for administrator as I don't run an Admin account. Just an FYI if it doesn't work for others :)

I thoroughly recommend Basic4Android. It has a lot of nice features and is easy to get up and running. It is based on Visual Basic

Certainly much less hair-pulling than Java+Eclipse

@evaldaskowka C++ is not generally used for mobile development because there are practically no compilers for a phone, no way to put it into the phone's system, and it is usually only used for programming the actual systems of the phone. (phone = tablet = iwhatever)

@MrOsamaful Well it's linux so by definition it only understands c, Linux is an operating system designed to execute c in an effective and efficiant manner. Read the wikipedia article about android to see that it is running a Java layer above the OS to deal with some (however growing less due to c++ doing the job while taking less power/processing power) graphical interfaces.
