I've never played this game, so this is something I noticed that is bad-ass: They're actually speaking in Old English! All of the other medieval games I've played had people saying stuff like "This is my horse, you can buy one over there in the inn with the expensive candles.". Here, it would be "This is mine horse, seek thee one of the inn of golden lights, whose wax is made cold by time's perseverance."
Old English > Modern English, IMO, if everyone already knew it. It's so... flowery!
@shoeberrypie It's still not right though. Christof is supposed to be FRENCH. Mind you, in the time period Christof is supposed to be from they wouldn't be speaking this type of "Old English" anyway.

No one would have understood a shit had they spoken in a realistic language. This way of speaking is meant for immersion (and it succeed), not incomprehension nor even to be realistic. Vampires doesn't exist in the first place...

Well you should not underestimate a Nosferatu in his fighting abilitys. They are not as talented as Gangrals or Brujahs but they can still make great fighters. Would easily kick the ass of a lot of Ventrues, Malkavians and Toreadors (or even weaker Gangrals or Brujahs)

They can bitchslap you through brick walls, blackmail you into submission, go invisible and hide (and bide their time), and they're one of the most unified clans ever (although they just gather in groups out of fear and longing for companionship).
The Harbingers are pretty badass, but my favourite clan of all time are the Gangrel.
its called speaking in prose its what you would hear around the Elizabethan era 1500-1600 I think if you were of the high class but yes Shakespeare does use the same words in his writings

Great game i got the good ending and its easy. The only thing that causes lose of humanity is messing with the people in cities and probably some dialogues. (i had 70 humanity at the end)

One thing's for sure - it's NOT ONLY humanity points. I never got this ending when at least one of my vampires was dead. But when all were alive when Vukodlak was at critical hp - they all fell to cathedral bowels, and the good ending was accesible.

I am sure they do. Anyway, to me, ok, to me, the bad ending is the best ending, where Christof eats her out, embracing her(for future eat out sessions;), and where Christof gets all the power as well. I prefer calling it cool ending, be cause it really is damn cool.
I played this game through again to try finishing with 100 Humanity via correct dialogue choices. I thought it might have a 4th ending where Christof attained Golconda and became human again. But Ardan the Tremere was right - that's just a comforting lie for the weak.
They waited until the ending of the game to let you get a look at the cleavage Aneska is packing. You couldn't make it out through her nun-wimple. Christof could probably sense it with his heightened vampiric awareness, however.
A noble dark knight you can say. He is far more noble than whole mankind together. I prefer the good ending most^^
Something they've done wrong within the game. According to "New York by night", V:tM Rulebook, Ecaterina was nearly assassinated in the 1950s, rose from torpor in 1995 and gained power in the Camarilla, so she isn't an Archbishop of the Sabbat as Wilhem told Christof, when they met again. Though she is an interesting charakter from Brujah clan.
i really loved this game, but what i really hated was that you cant use serena in the future, cappadocians where tue best clan ever!!!!and i really liked serena.
My favorite clan from this game were the Cappadocians. I was pissed when I found out that they had become the Giovanni. Oh well, the Malkavians are just as awesome. :3
I really liked the story, but the gameplay was a bit too much like "go into the dungeon, kill enemies, go deeper until you find the boss, kill the boss, go to the next town...".
yeah... to sell it it is worth about 800 or something, but usualy i finish the entire game with the exquisite broadsword. i liked it best most damage and nearly best acuracy.
If I recall, I armed my party with two dread braodswords (for Christof and Wilhelm), a chaingun (for Lily) and a chainsaw (for Samuel). Those weapons, along with repeatedly freezing Vukodlak's Zulo form with Thaumaturgy, saw us through quite nicely.
The chainsaw's damage rating doesn't look like much compared to the dread broadsword...until you realize that you gouge with the chainsaw and inflict damage about twice every second. So the chainsaw's damage really adds up in a hurry. :-)
Ainkurn sword not only stoles blood, but also it is one of weapons (if not ONLY weapon) which inflicts "aggravated" damage instead of "lethal". This means it is more effective against ghosts and enemies with "fortitude" activated.
@ThinBear4 yes but their is in that same part of the game, at the end of that let's say prison, some enemy with a two handed axe wich does (if i remember correctly) 60 points of damage, from the point i got that weopons, i didn't need to use another anymore, well,, maybe against ghosts but that's it
this game was and still is the best vampire title i have ever played...i have it installed on my current system and still go through it from time to time...it never gets old with me

This game was the best during its release, all the games that came out with it were just too... simple, just hack and slash point and click press the buttons right. But this game delivered a compelling story. Vampire Masquerade Rules!!!
I always thought it was about true love but as I played it for the 3rd time it sounded more and more like they just lusted after each other... So pretty much like puppy "love." However this lust or whatever lasted so I suppose it wasn't... The ending was absolutely touching. I cried when she was doing her little journals stuff and then at the very last cinematic.
Ok this is something my sister and I have debated forever... Was he turning her into a vampire because her ghoul-like powers would relinquish now that her master was gone, or was he killing her to end some sort of suffering... Or neither... curious...
This game had actually a very tight manuscript compared to other games. And not to speak about the unpredictable endings, Dark Messiah is close but not really close. How poor Christof chased his soulmate through hundreds of years and through continents. My eyes really get wet buy seing this again.
Perhaps the Tzimize kept her within their grasps, or maybe the author's wished to portray vampire's/ghouls as being so intelligent that they were not subject to integration. Also keep in mind that she is bound to her master and maybe never saw the light of day waiting for him to rise. Dunno... Just Ideas... I found it odd too.

I played this game through again to try finishing with 100 Humanity via correct dialogue choices. I thought it might have a 4th ending where Christof attained Golconda and became human again. But Ardan the Tremere was right - that's just a comforting lie for the weak.
They waited until the ending of the game to let you get a look at the cleavage Aneska is packing. You couldn't make it out through her nun-wimple. Christof could probably sense it with his heightened vampiric awareness, however.

Something they've done wrong within the game. According to "New York by night", V:tM Rulebook, Ecaterina was nearly assassinated in the 1950s, rose from torpor in 1995 and gained power in the Camarilla, so she isn't an Archbishop of the Sabbat as Wilhem told Christof, when they met again. Though she is an interesting charakter from Brujah clan.

My favorite clan from this game were the Cappadocians. I was pissed when I found out that they had become the Giovanni. Oh well, the Malkavians are just as awesome. :3

I really liked the story, but the gameplay was a bit too much like "go into the dungeon, kill enemies, go deeper until you find the boss, kill the boss, go to the next town...".
But it's a really, really great game.

yeah... to sell it it is worth about 800 or something, but usualy i finish the entire game with the exquisite broadsword. i liked it best most damage and nearly best acuracy.

If I recall, I armed my party with two dread braodswords (for Christof and Wilhelm), a chaingun (for Lily) and a chainsaw (for Samuel). Those weapons, along with repeatedly freezing Vukodlak's Zulo form with Thaumaturgy, saw us through quite nicely.
The chainsaw's damage rating doesn't look like much compared to the dread broadsword...until you realize that you gouge with the chainsaw and inflict damage about twice every second. So the chainsaw's damage really adds up in a hurry. :-)

A few hours ago, I finished game (it was five times already ), of course I chose good ending. ( viz - my slide show )
It is great game, now I am going to play again Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines, again with my favourite Malkavian girl. :)

not really the strongest but it stole blood from enemies that u strike giving u a constant supply besides it was so cool
the best weapon i used in the old ages was the flaming broadsword it made real damage
the new years the rocket launcher is by far the best it causes a damage of 250

Ainkurn sword not only stoles blood, but also it is one of weapons (if not ONLY weapon) which inflicts "aggravated" damage instead of "lethal". This means it is more effective against ghosts and enemies with "fortitude" activated.

@ThinBear4 yes but their is in that same part of the game, at the end of that let's say prison, some enemy with a two handed axe wich does (if i remember correctly) 60 points of damage, from the point i got that weopons, i didn't need to use another anymore, well,, maybe against ghosts but that's it

Cool, I always wanted to see this ending, I only had the bad one thanks to my friend being an idiot and ruining my save by drinking people dry. Cristof is awesome and Brujah kick ass!
Only a Brujah can be a true leader bollocks to Ventrue, Brujah are the only ones with enough passion to a cause to be a true leader as Cristof proves.

with scrolls you cast spells...awaken: is ressurect, bloodstrength bives you extrastrength for a short püeriod of time!just try them...

This game was the best during its release, all the games that came out with it were just too... simple, just hack and slash point and click press the buttons right. But this game delivered a compelling story. Vampire Masquerade Rules!!!

I always thought it was about true love but as I played it for the 3rd time it sounded more and more like they just lusted after each other... So pretty much like puppy "love." However this lust or whatever lasted so I suppose it wasn't... The ending was absolutely touching. I cried when she was doing her little journals stuff and then at the very last cinematic.

This game had actually a very tight manuscript compared to other games. And not to speak about the unpredictable endings, Dark Messiah is close but not really close. How poor Christof chased his soulmate through hundreds of years and through continents. My eyes really get wet buy seing this again.

Perhaps the Tzimize kept her within their grasps, or maybe the author's wished to portray vampire's/ghouls as being so intelligent that they were not subject to integration. Also keep in mind that she is bound to her master and maybe never saw the light of day waiting for him to rise. Dunno... Just Ideas... I found it odd too.
