Missing the point a bit? Punk was all about doing things yourself and creating something new. Not necessarily being loud as possible. Look at the distinctions between bands like Killing Joke and Discharge it was all done as a DIY ethic, its not just about shouting and being more punk than the other person as long as it's doing something revolutionary in sound or statement it shouldn't matter whether its emo or hardcore punk.
