great video! thank god we have people like you capable to recognize the benefits that this government has brought to our economy and also to the people who are in need!
This guy nuts. People don't know anything about Mula (donkey) da silva. FHC made mistakes like anybody else, but left the country in very good conditions for the next president (Mula). But the Mula da Silva blown the opportunities to help the country, according to official information of the Brazilian congress. He left a debt of more than 1 trillion dollar. From now on Brazilian people start have hard time with the national economy. Mula da Silva sucks. That's the true.
@JOESANS2USA quanta leviandade rapaz.
Great video!!! There's nothing wrong with providing a safety net and pulling people out of poverty, but you have to teach a man how to fish eventually, thus Brazil needs to invest more in education it'll get there, it's just a matter of time!!!
A GLOBO, A VEJA, O PIG NÃO INFORMOU!!! procurem no google: WIKYLEAKS MOSTRA TELEGRAMAS EM QUE JOSÉ SERRA QUERIA ENTREGAR O PRÉ-SAL PARA OS AMERICANOS
Love the video and Yes, all you said is truth but of course that some people will deny , whether by ignorance or prejudice. But the estatistics and facts show the reality and the great popularity reflects that reality!
Lula did not reform or structural changes relevant. It merely micro-economy. Using BNDS, Lula nationalize major Brazilian companies. Petrobras and Vale only took this great leap due to open its capital. And it's opportunity to participate in these large companies is not a reality in Brazil. The government uses tax money for these purchases. The approval of Lula has been the success of the current rates that are doctored. The internal debt reaches 1.7 trillion, the figure doubled in 2009.
@jen581c , Only one project suggested by FHC worth mentioning was the Real, which was not even his idea. It was developed by a team of economists, indicated by IMF. But it had its price, it cost Brazil nearly all its state companies plus a huge external debt and on top of that a whoopy internal debt from 65bi to 800bi. Which put the country into recession and FHC's populariry went all the way down...Real was nearly slashed away when it hit 1-4USD, Lula was the one who recovered the currency.
Very interesting view about Lula. Yes, it seems that Brazil is on it's path now. Wealth distribution is still a major concern, but the future doesn't seem as dark as we used to see it. Of course he's made some mistakes, including some decisions in foreign policy, but Brazil is a much better country today than it was 8 years ago. Thanks for posting the video. We Brazilians also hope that our American brother get better presidents than you got in the past decade. Peace to the world...
I love Lula, goddamn it!! I'm Mexican and I'd like to say to every single mexican hellbent on migrating to the US, MIGRATE TO BRAZIL!! They're great brothers who will receive you with open arms...we're brothers, latin brothers. A 1st world nation who can help latin america to break free of US domination. FUCK THE US, VIVA BRAZIL!!!
@jen581c If you read the magazine they are calling her a terrorist... You see the absurd, someone who was fighting for freedom in his/her own country is a terrorist, while the dictatorship, the oppresive regime were the good guys?!?! You know Jen, you should think before merely repeating what you are told.
@jen581c Continuing, they ammended their Constitution so that any milicia could have fire weapons to fight against an oppressive goverment, just like the one we had and just like Dilma did. You see, those folks are actually freedom fighters and would be praised if they were living in the US for instance. Now if you read Veja (for those who dont know Veja is the Brazilian version of Fox News in a magazine but not very popular and decreasing).
@jen581c You see, the question is much more complex than you think. I think I would have done just the same. I would not let anyone take my freedom and I would fight for it as I can. I would not tolerate having anyone telling me what I should talk about or what kind I music I was allowed to listen or book I could read. You see, the US, whom many who call her a terrorist admire was founded under this principle and they ammended their Constitution so that any milicias (like the one Dilma was in).
@jen581c You see how misinformed you are Jen?!?! But lets continue, now you are refering to Dilma as if she were a criminal. Here is what happened. She was part of a group which performed armed actions against the dictatorship. She herself was never involved but yes she was part of the group. And yes they kidnapped some ambassadors and assault banks to finance their movemente. Now, the question is: are they criminals? Or terrorists? (as some media vehicles claim?) Or do I blame them?
@jen581c In the annual meeting of journalists, the association of journalists of Rio de Janeiro proposed a law to create a council of journalists (not from the goverment) so that they could rate some programs. You see, their idea was not to censor, their idea was to move programs which were showing naked women at 8 o'clock like Globo soup operas. However, it was only a proposition from the journalists, and the goverment thought it was too controversial and did not propose it.
@jen581c Continuing, there was never a plan to control the media. You didnt read the news, probably only the headlines. But I will tell you the story. What happens in Brazil is that the goverment is so democratic that every year the goverment promotes meetings with some association of professionals so that they can suggest new legislation, even paper collectors who live in the streets have they say heard. Now, to the issue....
@jen581c Jen, you need to get better information. First, if the Party spent any money in air tickects it is the problem of the party and the people who contribute to the party. Secondly, the goverment would never spent that money since they have an airplane. What I think you are doing is to add all the expenses in air tickets from the congress and the judiciary which are not under control from the goverment. Even though, your numbers are too high, its not the reality.
@jen581c No, they havent been proved. You are misinformed again. If you ask me if I believe that some of them are involved I do believe, but they are still being judged in STF (Brazilian Supreme Court). Two ministers of Lula and several members of his party are being prosecuted and the judgment in underwar. However, Lula was absolved, as no evidence was found against him.
@jen581c There is no FHC's project or plan. Yes, you are right that PT (Lula's party) was against the new currency. However, they didnt vote, because it was a decision from the executive, not a legislative matter. Nevertheless, today Lula himself assumes he was wrong. And thats basically all that was left from the previous government, I have shown you in the last comments all the differences.
@jen581c And after all those unproved accusatons, do you want me to believe that you are not making your comments based on social prejudice? Hard to believe.
@jen581c Unions are private institutions and have nothing to do with the government as you mistakenly wrote in your biased argument. You see, you just proved yourself wrong. Now you know that it was not the tax payer money that paid for the plane.
@jen581c Do you realize the HUGE difference in the two sentences you just wrote. First you said that he was not poor because he bought an airplane. Now you are confirming what I told you, that the plane was not his. Then you question the Union for buying (actually RENTING) the plane for him. However, it is not our business!
@jen581c That’s why, when he left, jobs were down, Brazil had no international respect (nobody respects those who don’t respect themselves), no international reserves and most of the assets the country had were gone. These are facts, indicators that you are going to read a lot more about them in the elections, if Serra, the candidate of the opposition party ever dares bring them up.
@jen581c By the time FHC left the office, Brazil had been through 2 crisis (Asia and Mexico), which were nothing compared to this one, and still Brazil was almost bankrupted. The IMF was the actual leader of the country, forbidding the President to make any investments in infrastructure and in education. FHC simply bowed (just like he did to Clinton) and let them do whatever they wanted.
@jen581c Regarding the differences of the two presidencies, if you did read what I wrote you should know that everything that helped Brazil to be among the first to get out of this crisis was made by Lula. FHC believes that the market will solve the problems we have in Brazil, while Lula believes that the government should lead the private market to do what is the best for the people.
@jen581c Just so that you can have an idea, Vale, the huge Brazilian mining company was sold for USD 3.3 billion. Now, just in the first quarter this year, the company registered profits of 3.75 billion. I am not writing gross revenue, I am writing PROFITS. Plus, all the money for the ones who bought it was lent by the government. AWESOME DEAL FOR THE PEOPLE!!! Now I quote you: “It was your money Jen.”
@jen581c Continuing on the importance of some previous Presidents, to me the most important ones were Kubitschek and Vargas, both, despite their flaws, left a legacy to our country, mainly in the form of the national companies, which FHC practically gave away. I am not even discussing the privatization, but only when we look at the figures is already an absurd.
@jen581c Of course FHC was important as President, but equally so is Itamar (the one who was President then the new currency started). Even Collor, a proven corrupt politician, did his contributions. However, for everything FHC did, including a lousy submissive foreign policy, which basically consisted of doing whatever Clinton told him, he finished his government with an approval rate of close to 35%, thats why Serra, his candidate lot. While Lula has an approval of 85%. See the difference?
@jen581c You are not lying, you are just misinformed. First of all, FHC was not the author of the Real, he was one of many, he was not even among the main ones since he has no formal knowledge in economics, however, he was appointed as the face of the politial figure. HOWEVER, what is happening in Brazil goes WAY BEYOND anything FHC ever did.
@jen581c I dont disagree for pure arrogance. I wrote 5 comments on that, I am not willing to repeat them, they are all there, go read them. But basically, the difference is in the approach, Lula believes that the goverment must be in charge of the economy, while FHC believed that the market should be in charge. And thanks God for that difference we almost didnt feel the biggest crisis since 29.
@jen581c He didnt have, nor has a private airplane. Really, so you have the proof that the son of the President has bought a farm with public money?!?! Really?!?! So, go ahead and tell the guy who is in the opposition running for President. You know, you have been misinformed so much that you dont even know the difference between reality and lies.
@jen581c Continuing, the Brazilian Supreme Court, which had the majority of judges appointed by the previous government, absolved the President. Thirdly, he never had, nor has a private airplane. However, the party he founded used to rent a small plane to travel around the country to campaign. These are facts.
@jen581c Read my previous comments and you will realize that Lula’s economic poilicies have very little to do with FHC’s, there are a lot of facts there. Secondly, corruption is a problem of the whole country and not only one single goverment. Of course there was corruption in this goverment, as there was even more in FHC’s, but the ones accused were fired from the goverment.
Lula is a copy paste of Tito minus WWII; everything applicable to Lula is hundred times before seen with Tito; a pragmatist is this case is a euphemism for a communist hooker; Thus Lula runs way larger country, Tito had even greater approval…Nothing new!
The problem is for 500 years Brazil has always been a colony by the portuguese, french, british and americans USA.But now it is the first time it got its indenpedence from USA (who inserted dictatorship all over latin america)with Lula, who is genuinely brazilian and is giving, for the first time in history, opportunity for a such rich country with wonderful people!!!Nothing is forever, nor even capitalism!!USA government had their chance, they blew it, now other countries will run the scenario!!
Brazil has a terrible problem with paternal abandonment in the flavelas, especially outside of rio and sao paulo. Men leave and get better jobs, women struggle to raise large families and hope to support them however they can. Many can't even find regular jobs and families are so poor that they have to have their children work in order to make ends meet.
DILMA 2010 no 1º turno
And one more thing you should consider is that brazilian people is very used to criticize it's politicians without any practical reason. Do the test, when someone criticize lula or the congress in general ask why, you are likely to get a vague answer
What lula did is invested on brazilian people in special the poorer. i was able to study in a private and good university without paying a penny because of him, and there where a lot of people starving on poorer regions of brazil that lula helped too, that's why he has such good aprooval.
Lula also reinforced A LOT foreign relations with countries like china india and russia and our neighbour countries in latin america creating a much wider trade relations.
Hey there, thanks for the video,I wished that asshole ''ve lost his head instead of his finger, and actually the 82% is the magic number how ignorant we brazilians are,but i 've got your point, but true is true.
@flaviofivela FUCK YOU ASSHOLE,I AM NOT A DIGUSTING PIG LIKE YOU OR HIM,IF YOU THINK YOU SO GOOD AT IT,THEM COME OVER HERE TO BABSON COLLEGE WHERE I GO, AND TEACH ME ENGLISH,AS MATTER FACT,HOW WOULD YOU DO THAT?IF YOU NOT EVEN EVER HEARD OF IT,GET A LIFE MOTHERFUCKER!!!!
Also, another great achievement of Lula was a change in the Foreign Policy, Lula decided to leave the customary submission to rich countries from previous leaders to start engaging those countries and demanding equal treatment. He always repeats that he learned very early in his life that nobody respects someone who doesnt respect himself.
Sir, you are extremely well informed for someone outside Brazil. As many pointed out here Brazil still has a very long way to go, but the developments that took place in Brazil for the last 8 years are amazing. Still, as you can notice from some comments here, he still suffers prejudice from many in the middle class who do not accept someone who came from an extreme poverty situation to become President.
@tiagovq Firstly, the real issue is that Lula thinks he's the only responsible for economic growth and that's not true! If FHC hadn't controlled infration and set economics gols, nothing of it would ever happen!
It's not prejudice, we just don't accept that someone who can't barely speak his own laguage represent us around the world! A president needs to be a role model!
@flaviofivela You are wrong, very wrong. Lula’s government is responsible for the huge economic growth we are experiencing now. The previous government has helped to control inflation and sound macroeconomic policies, but nothing further than that. You can see that very clearly when you check the growth rate in the last years of Cardoso, and it was basically because Brazil was not doing well that his popularity was very low in his last year.
@flaviofivela The Brazilian growth is based on two pillars; the first is the rise in commodity exports, based on the huge boost in international relations the government actively promoted, mainly within South America; the second is the huge increase in consumption, which is based on a police of increasing minimum salary and welfare programs.
@flaviofivela And you see here that the economic growth is in serious danger since the opposition will probably leave the problems for the market to solve and minimum salary (in reality) will decrease, plus, if the opposition wins we will lose in trade, especially with our neighbors, since the opposition is already attacking our trade partners, the opposition candidate just declared that Bolivia is responsible for the drugs we have in Brazil.
@tiagovq I see that you are a smart guy, at least you know exactly how to get your point across. However, your arguments are full of misconception, SOPHISM and fallacies! How trading with one of the largest drug producers will help boost our econony? What does Bolivia produce besides drugs? Nothing!
@flaviofivela You are full of prejudice and misinformation. First, who says Bolivia is the largest drug producer? Secondly, you forgot something very important, Bolivia produces a huge amount of gas that we cannot live without it. And before Lula came into office we didn’t even had a domestic alternative.
@tiagovq OMG! I forgot how important trading with Bolivia is good for us. We put money (Petrobras)in that shithole then they basically say thanks for your money and effort, but for now on this company is our company and get out of here! They stole a 1 billion dolar investment and how much did we got back from that money?NOT EVEN ONE PENNY!Bolivia's president stated that brazil should present them with the company. Finally, our president says that's okay, they are miserable, we won't make a case.
@flaviofivela And I agree with the President. We (Petrobras) got our investment plus profits back years before the Bolivian government nationalized the Gas industry. We as a country always complained that we were exploited by the rich countries today, in fact, our gold help increase the wealth of the British Empire. And now, when we are put in the same situation of the exploiter we have to do the right thing. It is a matter of principles.
@flaviofivela By the way, calling Bolivia a shithole is a huge disrespect. How would you feel if someone in the developed countries called Brazil a shithole? It is not because we are richer (or less poorer) that we are better than them.
@flaviofivela Regarding your comments on international policy you are completely misinformed. First, in Venezuela there is more free speech that any other place I have ever known. You just say that because you have never been there. Travel there and turn on the TV or a radio and you will find many stations exclusively dedicated to promote a coup to remove the elected President.
@flaviofivela Also in the case of Iran you get things all mixed up AGAIN! First, Brazil does not support Iran having a nuclear weapon, it is the opposite, Brazil supports Iran’s rights to have a peaceful nuclear program. What Brazil did was an effort to promote negotiation and peace. On the other hand you have many belligerent nations interested in another war.
@flaviofivela Secondly, Ahmadinejah never said he wanted to kill Jews, he is against the state of Israel, but not the existence of Jews. He thinks that Jews should live in Europe and US but not in what he considers to be the Palestinian territory. Even the most conservative Jews in the world have met with him to support him, because they think Jeowah will give them the promised land when they are ready, not the UN.
@tiagovq You are so informed as Ahmadinejah who claims that Holocost never existed. You arguments are defenitely pointless which tries to deny unrefutable facts. "Ahmadinejah never said he wanted to kill Jews" Obviously you aren't the case that you don't know the truth, the only truth for you is the one told by your comunists comrads. Tell me one international or national newspapaer or TV Channel that you think realiable?Le monde?Der spiegel?BBC?CNN?NYTIMES?El Pais?
@flaviofivela Sadly you are the one misinformed. You are so manipulated and you have no idea. The truth and proof of everything I wrote is right here on You Tube. To find them, since you prefer to call me a liar instead of research them, just type in the search this: - President Ahmadinejad Meets Neturei Karta Rabbis - 9/24/2007; - Iran's Ahmadinejad on Holocaust; - Ahmadinejad DID NOT threaten to "wipe Israel off the map. I am waiting for your apology.
@flaviofivela Regarding Holocaust, he never said that Jews were not killed in Nazi Germany. What he said was that this fact was amplified and he claims the numbers of Jews killed is not the one generally accepted.
Again, I reiterate that I disagree with Ahmadinejah’s views in practically everything, plus, the results of their recent elections are very suspicious. However, when you write that he wants to kill Jews, that’s simply an untrue statement.
@flaviofivela I don’t agree with Ahmadinejah. I think that the peace solution in Middle East must have the two states, the same thing the President defends. Flavio, don’t be fooled by the Brazilian media. By the way, you asked me if I think the media manipulates the people, to me, you are an example of that.
@flaviofivela But the opposition, supported by the elites (4/5 families), who own 90% of the media, always had an excuse, the last one, before 2008, was that all the good things happening in Brazil were due to the “luck” Lula had, since he had never faced an international crisis, then we had the most terrible economic crisis since the great depression and the argument was gone.
@tiagovq Don't you have another point? You and a bunch of "Petistas" just keep saying the media is supported by Burgeoise and wealth families. I'ts about time to come up with something new. Most of people of your kind'd rather point the finger at those who work hard and become succefull instead of work hard i try to do something for your own. we must stop blaming goverments for our frustations and run after our goals because they won't do it for us.They are interest to fill up their own pockets!
@flaviofivela What?!?! You are the one blaming the government for everything. I do believe that we must work hard and not depend on anyone, not even the government, HOWEVER, I had a lot of opportunities in life and I can do that, on the other hand, many Brazilians cannot. That’s why we need the government (representing us) to come in and fix that. And yes, their interest is (most of the time) to fill their pockets, that’s why we have to keep an eye on them.
@flaviofivela Also, it is true that the media is dominated by 4 or 5 families. Just to give you an idea, the main media company in Brazil, Globo, has a 75% publicity income market share. In other words, for every 4 Reais spent in TV ads in Brazil, 3 are spent in Globo. Imagine the power they have.
Do you really believe that Globo manipulates the people and is totally against the goverment and therefore poors. if it was true how Lula could have a 76% of approval rate? If Globo is part of a secret conspiracy against the poors. HAUHAUHA You don't think racionally.
Why don't you go to Cuba, Iran or Venezuela? because obviously you are a comunist who doesn't know live with people that think differently from you!! You would fit perfectly in one of those countries!
@flaviofivela I never wrote that there is a secret conspiracy against the government. However, it is clear that the media will seek its interests, and it happens not only in Brazil but everywhere. Nevertheless, in most nations there is a balance so that one single family does not control everything, in Brazil that’s not the case. And you are a proof of that, you think Ahmadinejah wants to kill Jews and you think that there is no freedom of speech in Venezuela, thanks for proving my point!
@flaviofivela And finally, you are the one against democracy and freedom of speech. Reality for you is what you think. In your perfect world only people who agree with you should have a voice. That’s not democracy, that’s Apartheid, a small group of people with higher education and wealth deciding for everybody else.
@tiagovq Have you ever met any Venezuelan?I did and i stil keep in touch with this person! I not only took the facts from spanishes newspaper but also i was told by her about the Venezuela current conditions. She told me that her class mate was expelled from public university for criticizing the goverment.Free speech? Moreover, how many journalists was arrested in Venezuela in the last few yers?Hundreds! Is that another lie? I just don't post the links to prove it because YouTube don't allow.
@flaviofivela I have met many Venezuelans, some think Chavez is a good President, some disagree. However, to take one case, or even 10 cases, and generalize is a huge mistake and does not prove anything. Can she prove she was expelled because she was against the government? I have met many people in Venezuela that are just so full of prejudice, they do things that are against the law and then blame the government for the penalties.
@flaviofivela For instance, there are videos of people in Venezuelan TV calling for someone to kill the President. Also, TV show hosts after announcing the President was traveling have said that they hoped the plane to crash and the President to die. I would really like to see one of these guys do it in the US, It wouldn’t take more than 5 min and the FBI would be knocking on their TV stations.
@flaviofivela Plus, if you succeed in promoting a coup as a TV station did in Venezuela, the crime is treason and the penalty is death. Nevertheless, many of the people who took part in the coup are now in the opposition and many have been elected.
@flaviofivela But make no mistake, of course Venezuela has problems, however, to say that there is no freedom of speech there is a lie. By the way, you probably don’t know but the mayor of Caracas (the capital) is from the opposition party. So, I am very curious to understand how a guy from the opposition became the mayor of the capital city in a dictatorship. Chavez must suck as a dictator.
@flaviofivela Continuing on the matter of Chavez, I again state that I don’t like some of his actions and theories, however, he is there because the majority of the people want him to be there and it is proven by international institutions which performed independent surveys there.
@flaviofivela But don’t believe me, type: “Popularidade de Hugo Chávez cai na Venezuela, mas ainda é alta” in Google and you will find an article of the biggest Brazilian newspaper (Folha) reporting that 58% of the people approve his government. And before you question the institute, the newspaper itself describes it as: “the respected institute Ivad.”
@flaviofivela Flavio, continuing on the matter of foreign affairs and the Brazilian media, you probably remember when Zelaya, President of Honduras, was taken out of his home in his pajamas by force, and expelled to Costa Rica. Then the Brazilian media in general, and especially Veja (a famous magazine), rushed to inform everyone that Zelaya was lawfully deposed. Maybe that’s what you believe even now, right?
@flaviofivela Despite it seemed very clear that the elites and the military deposed a democratically elected government, the media insisted with poor arguments that it was not a coup and many believed. Now, finally this subject came to an end, which was not reported in Brazil. Lobo, the “elected” President, has ONLY NOW declared, that yes, it was a coup!
@flaviofivela But again, don’t believe me. If you can understand Spanish, search in You Tube: “Golpe Estado Honduras, Vídeo de Pepe el Lobo "Póngalo como quiera fue GOLPE". There you will hear from the horse’s mouth what really happened.
@flaviofivela Well, what government did to fight against the crisis was nothing short than extraordinary, first the President went to TV to tell the people that the crisis wouldn’t hit Brazil hard, and that we would be the first ones in and out, and most importantly, that they should stop consuming; there he handled the psychological aspect of the crisis.
@flaviofivela Secondly, he lowered federal taxes in products which have a great supplying chain and give jobs to millions like the auto and the home appliances industry; there he tackled the consumption side of the crisis. And thirdly, he ordered acquisitions of private banks in trouble by public banks so that there would be no shortage of credit in the market; then the credit issued was dealt with. There you have it! Awesome job!
@flaviofivela And last but not least, it’s important that we remember that all those measures would have never been taken had the opposition been in power, since they believe that the market can solve all those issues by itself.
@flaviofivela Now regarding your prejudice, you mentioned that the President should be a role model and I couldn’t agree more, I think Lula is a great role model for all those people born in complete misery and with no access to health or education at all. He was born with no chance to succeed and overcame all of it (including your prejudice) and became one of the most important leaders in the whole world.
@flaviofivela Regarding his language skills, it is true that he makes a lot of mistakes when speaking Portuguese and that’s completely understandable since people who don’t learn to speak properly at a certain age have great trouble doing it later in life. However, this lack of knowledge of the formal language has never stopped him to communicate with the people, which is the sole purpose of speaking a language.
@flaviofivela That’s why, according to the latest pools three weeks ago, 95% of the people rate his government as great, good or reasonable; and only 5% think he is doing a bad or a terrible job.
@tiagovq@tiagovq@tiagovq@tiagovq Where did you take this data from? Check Data folha sensus my friend. You just keep beeing fallacious. Check out datafolha website.
Actually the president approval rate is 76 %. However, if you take the fact that only 7 % of brazilian population own a colege degree you come to a conclusion that this sensus was answered by people who have a huge lack of knowlegde, therefore, this sensus don't demonstrate the reality.
@flaviofivela I am amazed, you were criticizing the President for his lack of knowledge of the formal language, but you cannot even understand what you read. This is what I wrote: “95% of the people rate his government as great, good or reasonable; and only 5% think he is doing a bad or a terrible job.” I will break it down for you, 75% rate the government as good or great, 20% as reasonable and only 5% as bad or terrible. Now get a calculator and add 75 to 20. Get it? Not difficult
@flaviofivela Those previous numbers are from Ibope, if you get them the institute you mentioned in a survey they made in March this year then we have even more approval: 76% rate the government as good or great, 20% as reasonable and only 4% as bad or terrible. So, for 96% of the population the government is great, good or reasonable and you are among the 4%.
@flaviofivela And your last point just proves everything I wrote true. Look at it again: “…only 7 % of brazilian population own a colege degree you come to a conclusion that this sensus was answered by people who have a huge lack of knowlegde, therefore, this sensus don't demonstrate the reality…” Wow… there are so many wrong things here that I don’t even know from where to start!
@flaviofivela First, what is the reality? Is it what you believe? Are you really that arrogant? Are you really writing that if you have no formal education you cannot see the reality? I am amazed again. There you have it, all the social prejudice I wrote about is right here.
@flaviofivela Continuing, since all those uneducated folks cannot see the reality, they should not even be allowed to vote, don’t you think? All those people without college degree, VOTING?!?! NOOO!!! What we should do is segregation, only people with formal education can vote! Only people who went to college know the reality. WOW!!! The people who design the Apartheid are proud of you.
@tiagovq You are blindfolded! If you regard the votes of those who have lack of knowlegde were bought by the goverment with Bolsa Familia, The democracy was seriously compromised.Reality for me is democracy! As a matter of fact, Lula supports opressive goverments.Cuba i don't even dare speak a word of if.In venezuela free speech doesn't exist anymore, anyone who tries to criticize the goverment is arrested.Iran is lead by a nonsense dictator who wants to destroy Jews. Is that what you support?
@tiagovq You are ridiculous. For you no one can criticize the goverment. Can't i express what i think? We live in a democratic country, at least for now because Lula and PT are trying to transform this country in a opressive one. what do you say about the Program of "Human Rights" which intend to impose censorship on the media?
Secondly, you said that i am segregator. Do you know the color of my skin? Do you know anything about the economic conditions i find myself?
@flaviofivela When I said you cannot criticize the government?!?! However, you write that you don’t like the President because the makes grammatical mistakes I have all the right to tell you that’s not a legitimate criticism it is just prejudice. But you are still free to do it, as you do, and I am still free to tell and you and show everyone that it is only prejudice.
@flaviofivela Of course I don’t know how you look like or you financial conditions, but when you say that people who have no formal education don’t know the reality and when you write that only people with college education know the reality, and most importantly, when you state that the opinion of people who are poor and uneducated should not be considered because they don’t know the reality, I have news for you: You are a segregator!
@tiagovq Firstly, the real issue is that Lula thinks he's the only responsible for economic growth and that's not true! If FHC hadn't controlled infration and set economics gols, nothing of it would ever happen!
Secondly, it's not prejudice, we just don't accept that someone who can't barely speak his own laguage represent us around the world! A president needs to be a role model!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I could point dozens of primary problems that Lula did not try to solve, because of his background we believed that he would solve. Big illusion.
Plus, Brazil has the second most expensive congress in the world.
We pay a bunch of corrupts that only care about themselves, leaving the people in a surreal dark scenario. Shame on Brazil. Brazil is not serious, it is still a third world country or in another words only a big chunk of land...
@iranbernardes are you really that negative and annoying? We all need to tell the truth but to be addicted to garbage as you I've never seen. Actually, I find you sad.
I add that Brazil won't ever be able to become a developed country if we continue to suport politicians like Lula, who only cares about himself and spend efforts helping his conrads (companheiros mensaleiros e aloprados) to get power and money
I add that Brazil won't ever be able to become a developed country if we continue to suport politicians like Lula, who only cares about himself and spend efforts helping his conrads (companheiros mensaleiros e aloprados) to get power and money
@iranbernardes I couldn’t agree more. I add that Brazil won’t ever be able to become a developed country if we continue to support politicians like Lula. He simply just don’t care about the economic development, he either cares getting even more power or help his comrades to steal public money. “Mensalão” is the prove of it!
Lula sucks, he will do anything t to promote Dilma Russet, that ugly woman. He is the biggest deception for Brazilians. Wikipedia doesn't show the reality of Brazil. A country with no laws, where the educational system and the roads are in horrible shape.
As well, the Brazilian economy is not strong as you point here, along eight years, Lula more than double the Brazilian internal debit, from 350 billions to over 1.2 trillions, the biggest in Brazilian history.
Agreed Lula has done a great deal for Brazil.and yes there is still a large disparity between the upper and lower clases but his sound economic and social plans have been extremly efective converting Brazil into a industial giant. a true statesman.
South America play a major Role for the revolutionary and socialist Movement in the World.I see 3 main Forces against EU-USA Imperialism and Capitalism. 1.Russia/China/India in EurAsia,
2.Arabic World and 3. South America. They have the Potential and the Will to end the "American Dream", which is a nightmare for the People.
If the cuts in social services in Europe continue like the last decade, i hope strongly the People in Europe remember the big revolutionary Tradition. Greetings from Germany
I have been watching many of your videos over the last few days and am finding them extremely informative and helpful in my own studies. I am studying "Informal and Community Education" in East London, UK. Your synopsis of the C W Mills book "Sociological Imagination" was particularly interesting to me. I am looking for material around the importance of parents spending time with their adolescent children, and have been reading John Bowlby's attachment theory. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
You should edit your videos man, no offense..

But the Mula da Silva blown the opportunities to help the country, according to official information of the Brazilian congress. He left a debt of more than 1 trillion dollar. The internal debt reaches 1.7 trillion, the figure doubled in 2009.
governofoderal 1 year ago

@jen581c If you read the magazine they are calling her a terrorist... You see the absurd, someone who was fighting for freedom in his/her own country is a terrorist, while the dictatorship, the oppresive regime were the good guys?!?! You know Jen, you should think before merely repeating what you are told.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Continuing, they ammended their Constitution so that any milicia could have fire weapons to fight against an oppressive goverment, just like the one we had and just like Dilma did. You see, those folks are actually freedom fighters and would be praised if they were living in the US for instance. Now if you read Veja (for those who dont know Veja is the Brazilian version of Fox News in a magazine but not very popular and decreasing).
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c You see, the question is much more complex than you think. I think I would have done just the same. I would not let anyone take my freedom and I would fight for it as I can. I would not tolerate having anyone telling me what I should talk about or what kind I music I was allowed to listen or book I could read. You see, the US, whom many who call her a terrorist admire was founded under this principle and they ammended their Constitution so that any milicias (like the one Dilma was in).
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c You see how misinformed you are Jen?!?! But lets continue, now you are refering to Dilma as if she were a criminal. Here is what happened. She was part of a group which performed armed actions against the dictatorship. She herself was never involved but yes she was part of the group. And yes they kidnapped some ambassadors and assault banks to finance their movemente. Now, the question is: are they criminals? Or terrorists? (as some media vehicles claim?) Or do I blame them?
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c In the annual meeting of journalists, the association of journalists of Rio de Janeiro proposed a law to create a council of journalists (not from the goverment) so that they could rate some programs. You see, their idea was not to censor, their idea was to move programs which were showing naked women at 8 o'clock like Globo soup operas. However, it was only a proposition from the journalists, and the goverment thought it was too controversial and did not propose it.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Continuing, there was never a plan to control the media. You didnt read the news, probably only the headlines. But I will tell you the story. What happens in Brazil is that the goverment is so democratic that every year the goverment promotes meetings with some association of professionals so that they can suggest new legislation, even paper collectors who live in the streets have they say heard. Now, to the issue....
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Jen, you need to get better information. First, if the Party spent any money in air tickects it is the problem of the party and the people who contribute to the party. Secondly, the goverment would never spent that money since they have an airplane. What I think you are doing is to add all the expenses in air tickets from the congress and the judiciary which are not under control from the goverment. Even though, your numbers are too high, its not the reality.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c No, they havent been proved. You are misinformed again. If you ask me if I believe that some of them are involved I do believe, but they are still being judged in STF (Brazilian Supreme Court). Two ministers of Lula and several members of his party are being prosecuted and the judgment in underwar. However, Lula was absolved, as no evidence was found against him.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c There is no FHC's project or plan. Yes, you are right that PT (Lula's party) was against the new currency. However, they didnt vote, because it was a decision from the executive, not a legislative matter. Nevertheless, today Lula himself assumes he was wrong. And thats basically all that was left from the previous government, I have shown you in the last comments all the differences.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c And after all those unproved accusatons, do you want me to believe that you are not making your comments based on social prejudice? Hard to believe.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Unions are private institutions and have nothing to do with the government as you mistakenly wrote in your biased argument. You see, you just proved yourself wrong. Now you know that it was not the tax payer money that paid for the plane.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Do you realize the HUGE difference in the two sentences you just wrote. First you said that he was not poor because he bought an airplane. Now you are confirming what I told you, that the plane was not his. Then you question the Union for buying (actually RENTING) the plane for him. However, it is not our business!
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c That’s why, when he left, jobs were down, Brazil had no international respect (nobody respects those who don’t respect themselves), no international reserves and most of the assets the country had were gone. These are facts, indicators that you are going to read a lot more about them in the elections, if Serra, the candidate of the opposition party ever dares bring them up.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c By the time FHC left the office, Brazil had been through 2 crisis (Asia and Mexico), which were nothing compared to this one, and still Brazil was almost bankrupted. The IMF was the actual leader of the country, forbidding the President to make any investments in infrastructure and in education. FHC simply bowed (just like he did to Clinton) and let them do whatever they wanted.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Regarding the differences of the two presidencies, if you did read what I wrote you should know that everything that helped Brazil to be among the first to get out of this crisis was made by Lula. FHC believes that the market will solve the problems we have in Brazil, while Lula believes that the government should lead the private market to do what is the best for the people.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Just so that you can have an idea, Vale, the huge Brazilian mining company was sold for USD 3.3 billion. Now, just in the first quarter this year, the company registered profits of 3.75 billion. I am not writing gross revenue, I am writing PROFITS. Plus, all the money for the ones who bought it was lent by the government. AWESOME DEAL FOR THE PEOPLE!!! Now I quote you: “It was your money Jen.”
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Continuing on the importance of some previous Presidents, to me the most important ones were Kubitschek and Vargas, both, despite their flaws, left a legacy to our country, mainly in the form of the national companies, which FHC practically gave away. I am not even discussing the privatization, but only when we look at the figures is already an absurd.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Of course FHC was important as President, but equally so is Itamar (the one who was President then the new currency started). Even Collor, a proven corrupt politician, did his contributions. However, for everything FHC did, including a lousy submissive foreign policy, which basically consisted of doing whatever Clinton told him, he finished his government with an approval rate of close to 35%, thats why Serra, his candidate lot. While Lula has an approval of 85%. See the difference?
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c You are not lying, you are just misinformed. First of all, FHC was not the author of the Real, he was one of many, he was not even among the main ones since he has no formal knowledge in economics, however, he was appointed as the face of the politial figure. HOWEVER, what is happening in Brazil goes WAY BEYOND anything FHC ever did.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c I dont disagree for pure arrogance. I wrote 5 comments on that, I am not willing to repeat them, they are all there, go read them. But basically, the difference is in the approach, Lula believes that the goverment must be in charge of the economy, while FHC believed that the market should be in charge. And thanks God for that difference we almost didnt feel the biggest crisis since 29.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c He didnt have, nor has a private airplane. Really, so you have the proof that the son of the President has bought a farm with public money?!?! Really?!?! So, go ahead and tell the guy who is in the opposition running for President. You know, you have been misinformed so much that you dont even know the difference between reality and lies.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@jen581c Continuing, the Brazilian Supreme Court, which had the majority of judges appointed by the previous government, absolved the President. Thirdly, he never had, nor has a private airplane. However, the party he founded used to rent a small plane to travel around the country to campaign. These are facts.
tiagovq 1 year ago

Also, another great achievement of Lula was a change in the Foreign Policy, Lula decided to leave the customary submission to rich countries from previous leaders to start engaging those countries and demanding equal treatment. He always repeats that he learned very early in his life that nobody respects someone who doesnt respect himself.
tiagovq 1 year ago
Sir, you are extremely well informed for someone outside Brazil. As many pointed out here Brazil still has a very long way to go, but the developments that took place in Brazil for the last 8 years are amazing. Still, as you can notice from some comments here, he still suffers prejudice from many in the middle class who do not accept someone who came from an extreme poverty situation to become President.
tiagovq 1 year ago 16
@tiagovq Firstly, the real issue is that Lula thinks he's the only responsible for economic growth and that's not true! If FHC hadn't controlled infration and set economics gols, nothing of it would ever happen!
It's not prejudice, we just don't accept that someone who can't barely speak his own laguage represent us around the world! A president needs to be a role model!
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela You are wrong, very wrong. Lula’s government is responsible for the huge economic growth we are experiencing now. The previous government has helped to control inflation and sound macroeconomic policies, but nothing further than that. You can see that very clearly when you check the growth rate in the last years of Cardoso, and it was basically because Brazil was not doing well that his popularity was very low in his last year.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela The Brazilian growth is based on two pillars; the first is the rise in commodity exports, based on the huge boost in international relations the government actively promoted, mainly within South America; the second is the huge increase in consumption, which is based on a police of increasing minimum salary and welfare programs.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela And you see here that the economic growth is in serious danger since the opposition will probably leave the problems for the market to solve and minimum salary (in reality) will decrease, plus, if the opposition wins we will lose in trade, especially with our neighbors, since the opposition is already attacking our trade partners, the opposition candidate just declared that Bolivia is responsible for the drugs we have in Brazil.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@tiagovq I see that you are a smart guy, at least you know exactly how to get your point across. However, your arguments are full of misconception, SOPHISM and fallacies! How trading with one of the largest drug producers will help boost our econony? What does Bolivia produce besides drugs? Nothing!
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela You are full of prejudice and misinformation. First, who says Bolivia is the largest drug producer? Secondly, you forgot something very important, Bolivia produces a huge amount of gas that we cannot live without it. And before Lula came into office we didn’t even had a domestic alternative.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@tiagovq OMG! I forgot how important trading with Bolivia is good for us. We put money (Petrobras)in that shithole then they basically say thanks for your money and effort, but for now on this company is our company and get out of here! They stole a 1 billion dolar investment and how much did we got back from that money?NOT EVEN ONE PENNY!Bolivia's president stated that brazil should present them with the company. Finally, our president says that's okay, they are miserable, we won't make a case.
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela And I agree with the President. We (Petrobras) got our investment plus profits back years before the Bolivian government nationalized the Gas industry. We as a country always complained that we were exploited by the rich countries today, in fact, our gold help increase the wealth of the British Empire. And now, when we are put in the same situation of the exploiter we have to do the right thing. It is a matter of principles.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela By the way, calling Bolivia a shithole is a huge disrespect. How would you feel if someone in the developed countries called Brazil a shithole? It is not because we are richer (or less poorer) that we are better than them.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Regarding your comments on international policy you are completely misinformed. First, in Venezuela there is more free speech that any other place I have ever known. You just say that because you have never been there. Travel there and turn on the TV or a radio and you will find many stations exclusively dedicated to promote a coup to remove the elected President.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Also in the case of Iran you get things all mixed up AGAIN! First, Brazil does not support Iran having a nuclear weapon, it is the opposite, Brazil supports Iran’s rights to have a peaceful nuclear program. What Brazil did was an effort to promote negotiation and peace. On the other hand you have many belligerent nations interested in another war.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Secondly, Ahmadinejah never said he wanted to kill Jews, he is against the state of Israel, but not the existence of Jews. He thinks that Jews should live in Europe and US but not in what he considers to be the Palestinian territory. Even the most conservative Jews in the world have met with him to support him, because they think Jeowah will give them the promised land when they are ready, not the UN.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@tiagovq You are so informed as Ahmadinejah who claims that Holocost never existed. You arguments are defenitely pointless which tries to deny unrefutable facts. "Ahmadinejah never said he wanted to kill Jews" Obviously you aren't the case that you don't know the truth, the only truth for you is the one told by your comunists comrads. Tell me one international or national newspapaer or TV Channel that you think realiable?Le monde?Der spiegel?BBC?CNN?NYTIMES?El Pais?
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Sadly you are the one misinformed. You are so manipulated and you have no idea. The truth and proof of everything I wrote is right here on You Tube. To find them, since you prefer to call me a liar instead of research them, just type in the search this: - President Ahmadinejad Meets Neturei Karta Rabbis - 9/24/2007; - Iran's Ahmadinejad on Holocaust; - Ahmadinejad DID NOT threaten to "wipe Israel off the map. I am waiting for your apology.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Regarding Holocaust, he never said that Jews were not killed in Nazi Germany. What he said was that this fact was amplified and he claims the numbers of Jews killed is not the one generally accepted.
Again, I reiterate that I disagree with Ahmadinejah’s views in practically everything, plus, the results of their recent elections are very suspicious. However, when you write that he wants to kill Jews, that’s simply an untrue statement.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela I don’t agree with Ahmadinejah. I think that the peace solution in Middle East must have the two states, the same thing the President defends. Flavio, don’t be fooled by the Brazilian media. By the way, you asked me if I think the media manipulates the people, to me, you are an example of that.

@tiagovq
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela But the opposition, supported by the elites (4/5 families), who own 90% of the media, always had an excuse, the last one, before 2008, was that all the good things happening in Brazil were due to the “luck” Lula had, since he had never faced an international crisis, then we had the most terrible economic crisis since the great depression and the argument was gone.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@tiagovq Don't you have another point? You and a bunch of "Petistas" just keep saying the media is supported by Burgeoise and wealth families. I'ts about time to come up with something new. Most of people of your kind'd rather point the finger at those who work hard and become succefull instead of work hard i try to do something for your own. we must stop blaming goverments for our frustations and run after our goals because they won't do it for us.They are interest to fill up their own pockets!
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela What?!?! You are the one blaming the government for everything. I do believe that we must work hard and not depend on anyone, not even the government, HOWEVER, I had a lot of opportunities in life and I can do that, on the other hand, many Brazilians cannot. That’s why we need the government (representing us) to come in and fix that. And yes, their interest is (most of the time) to fill their pockets, that’s why we have to keep an eye on them.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Also, it is true that the media is dominated by 4 or 5 families. Just to give you an idea, the main media company in Brazil, Globo, has a 75% publicity income market share. In other words, for every 4 Reais spent in TV ads in Brazil, 3 are spent in Globo. Imagine the power they have.
tiagovq 1 year ago
Do you really believe that Globo manipulates the people and is totally against the goverment and therefore poors. if it was true how Lula could have a 76% of approval rate? If Globo is part of a secret conspiracy against the poors. HAUHAUHA You don't think racionally.
Why don't you go to Cuba, Iran or Venezuela? because obviously you are a comunist who doesn't know live with people that think differently from you!! You would fit perfectly in one of those countries!
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela I never wrote that there is a secret conspiracy against the government. However, it is clear that the media will seek its interests, and it happens not only in Brazil but everywhere. Nevertheless, in most nations there is a balance so that one single family does not control everything, in Brazil that’s not the case. And you are a proof of that, you think Ahmadinejah wants to kill Jews and you think that there is no freedom of speech in Venezuela, thanks for proving my point!
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela And finally, you are the one against democracy and freedom of speech. Reality for you is what you think. In your perfect world only people who agree with you should have a voice. That’s not democracy, that’s Apartheid, a small group of people with higher education and wealth deciding for everybody else.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@tiagovq Have you ever met any Venezuelan?I did and i stil keep in touch with this person! I not only took the facts from spanishes newspaper but also i was told by her about the Venezuela current conditions. She told me that her class mate was expelled from public university for criticizing the goverment.Free speech? Moreover, how many journalists was arrested in Venezuela in the last few yers?Hundreds! Is that another lie? I just don't post the links to prove it because YouTube don't allow.
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela I have met many Venezuelans, some think Chavez is a good President, some disagree. However, to take one case, or even 10 cases, and generalize is a huge mistake and does not prove anything. Can she prove she was expelled because she was against the government? I have met many people in Venezuela that are just so full of prejudice, they do things that are against the law and then blame the government for the penalties.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela For instance, there are videos of people in Venezuelan TV calling for someone to kill the President. Also, TV show hosts after announcing the President was traveling have said that they hoped the plane to crash and the President to die. I would really like to see one of these guys do it in the US, It wouldn’t take more than 5 min and the FBI would be knocking on their TV stations.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Plus, if you succeed in promoting a coup as a TV station did in Venezuela, the crime is treason and the penalty is death. Nevertheless, many of the people who took part in the coup are now in the opposition and many have been elected.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela But make no mistake, of course Venezuela has problems, however, to say that there is no freedom of speech there is a lie. By the way, you probably don’t know but the mayor of Caracas (the capital) is from the opposition party. So, I am very curious to understand how a guy from the opposition became the mayor of the capital city in a dictatorship. Chavez must suck as a dictator.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Continuing on the matter of Chavez, I again state that I don’t like some of his actions and theories, however, he is there because the majority of the people want him to be there and it is proven by international institutions which performed independent surveys there.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela But don’t believe me, type: “Popularidade de Hugo Chávez cai na Venezuela, mas ainda é alta” in Google and you will find an article of the biggest Brazilian newspaper (Folha) reporting that 58% of the people approve his government. And before you question the institute, the newspaper itself describes it as: “the respected institute Ivad.”
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Flavio, continuing on the matter of foreign affairs and the Brazilian media, you probably remember when Zelaya, President of Honduras, was taken out of his home in his pajamas by force, and expelled to Costa Rica. Then the Brazilian media in general, and especially Veja (a famous magazine), rushed to inform everyone that Zelaya was lawfully deposed. Maybe that’s what you believe even now, right?
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Despite it seemed very clear that the elites and the military deposed a democratically elected government, the media insisted with poor arguments that it was not a coup and many believed. Now, finally this subject came to an end, which was not reported in Brazil. Lobo, the “elected” President, has ONLY NOW declared, that yes, it was a coup!
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela But again, don’t believe me. If you can understand Spanish, search in You Tube: “Golpe Estado Honduras, Vídeo de Pepe el Lobo "Póngalo como quiera fue GOLPE". There you will hear from the horse’s mouth what really happened.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Well, what government did to fight against the crisis was nothing short than extraordinary, first the President went to TV to tell the people that the crisis wouldn’t hit Brazil hard, and that we would be the first ones in and out, and most importantly, that they should stop consuming; there he handled the psychological aspect of the crisis.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Secondly, he lowered federal taxes in products which have a great supplying chain and give jobs to millions like the auto and the home appliances industry; there he tackled the consumption side of the crisis. And thirdly, he ordered acquisitions of private banks in trouble by public banks so that there would be no shortage of credit in the market; then the credit issued was dealt with. There you have it! Awesome job!
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela And last but not least, it’s important that we remember that all those measures would have never been taken had the opposition been in power, since they believe that the market can solve all those issues by itself.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Now regarding your prejudice, you mentioned that the President should be a role model and I couldn’t agree more, I think Lula is a great role model for all those people born in complete misery and with no access to health or education at all. He was born with no chance to succeed and overcame all of it (including your prejudice) and became one of the most important leaders in the whole world.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Regarding his language skills, it is true that he makes a lot of mistakes when speaking Portuguese and that’s completely understandable since people who don’t learn to speak properly at a certain age have great trouble doing it later in life. However, this lack of knowledge of the formal language has never stopped him to communicate with the people, which is the sole purpose of speaking a language.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela That’s why, according to the latest pools three weeks ago, 95% of the people rate his government as great, good or reasonable; and only 5% think he is doing a bad or a terrible job.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@tiagovq @tiagovq @tiagovq @tiagovq Where did you take this data from? Check Data folha sensus my friend. You just keep beeing fallacious. Check out datafolha website.
Actually the president approval rate is 76 %. However, if you take the fact that only 7 % of brazilian population own a colege degree you come to a conclusion that this sensus was answered by people who have a huge lack of knowlegde, therefore, this sensus don't demonstrate the reality.
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela I am amazed, you were criticizing the President for his lack of knowledge of the formal language, but you cannot even understand what you read. This is what I wrote: “95% of the people rate his government as great, good or reasonable; and only 5% think he is doing a bad or a terrible job.” I will break it down for you, 75% rate the government as good or great, 20% as reasonable and only 5% as bad or terrible. Now get a calculator and add 75 to 20. Get it? Not difficult
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Those previous numbers are from Ibope, if you get them the institute you mentioned in a survey they made in March this year then we have even more approval: 76% rate the government as good or great, 20% as reasonable and only 4% as bad or terrible. So, for 96% of the population the government is great, good or reasonable and you are among the 4%.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela And your last point just proves everything I wrote true. Look at it again: “…only 7 % of brazilian population own a colege degree you come to a conclusion that this sensus was answered by people who have a huge lack of knowlegde, therefore, this sensus don't demonstrate the reality…” Wow… there are so many wrong things here that I don’t even know from where to start!
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela First, what is the reality? Is it what you believe? Are you really that arrogant? Are you really writing that if you have no formal education you cannot see the reality? I am amazed again. There you have it, all the social prejudice I wrote about is right here.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Continuing, since all those uneducated folks cannot see the reality, they should not even be allowed to vote, don’t you think? All those people without college degree, VOTING?!?! NOOO!!! What we should do is segregation, only people with formal education can vote! Only people who went to college know the reality. WOW!!! The people who design the Apartheid are proud of you.

Is that what you support?
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@tiagovq You are ridiculous. For you no one can criticize the goverment. Can't i express what i think? We live in a democratic country, at least for now because Lula and PT are trying to transform this country in a opressive one. what do you say about the Program of "Human Rights" which intend to impose censorship on the media?
Secondly, you said that i am segregator. Do you know the color of my skin? Do you know anything about the economic conditions i find myself?
flaviofivela 1 year ago
@flaviofivela When I said you cannot criticize the government?!?! However, you write that you don’t like the President because the makes grammatical mistakes I have all the right to tell you that’s not a legitimate criticism it is just prejudice. But you are still free to do it, as you do, and I am still free to tell and you and show everyone that it is only prejudice.
tiagovq 1 year ago
@flaviofivela Of course I don’t know how you look like or you financial conditions, but when you say that people who have no formal education don’t know the reality and when you write that only people with college education know the reality, and most importantly, when you state that the opinion of people who are poor and uneducated should not be considered because they don’t know the reality, I have news for you: You are a segregator!

@iranbernardes
Thank you for your important comment. Brazil is the most unequal of all the 40 OECD countries. America is the second most unequal in the world.

@iranbernardes are you really that negative and annoying? We all need to tell the truth but to be addicted to garbage as you I've never seen. Actually, I find you sad.

@iranbernardes I couldn't agree more.

But unfortunately, Brazil is still one of the countries with the largest income inequality in the world. (Worse than the U.S by a fair bit).
If we measure by the Gini coefficient, then income inequality has gotten slightly worse during his rule.
I'm hard-pressed to even call him a reform socialist, he was simply an economically savy leader.
