Pretty much plug-and-play. Pull out the original intermittent wiper module, plug the supplied one in. Attach the sensor to the windshield, run the wire under the headliner, down the a-pillar and plug it into the new module.
It's all in the instructions. Make sure it lists "Volvo 800" in the manual if you're doing it for 850/S70/V70 cars.
