All I can say is I told you so. Hamilton is too close to Buffalo and Toronto and there are plenty of nice markets in other Canadian cities that should have a shot before Hamilton, including Winnipeg and Quebec (if either city can get a new arena). Sorry Southern Ontario... it just wasn't to be.

Everyone knows Phoenix is the dumbest city to have a hockey team in. All these people protesting and shit probably don't even go to the games. Since 93 no Canadian team has won the cup but that has to do a lot with odds 6 teams or 30 20% chance not great odds BUT 5 have made the final so not too bad 10 USA teams haven't even done that

we have 6 out of 30 teams, thats why its harder to bring a cup back to Canada. first of all, over half of the leagues revenue comes from our 6 teams. second, over half of the players in the league are CANADIAN. Although i dont agree with you, i do appreciate your enthusiasm for the game. maybe if there were more Americans like you, teams like Phoenix, Florida, Atlanta, etc, would not be in the trouble they are in!

You do make a valid point. However, all the franchises listed have exhibited POOR management.

The San Jose Sharks' management group have always done an excellent job in making the investments necessary to bring a winning team to the ice, and they have reaped the benefits.

As a Sharks fan, I know many Coyotes fans as well, and it is very difficult to see what is happening. I hope to see my division rivals return. My earlier comments were a little too extreme, may Canada get it's team.NOT PHX

I stopped watching hockey for a while after the Nordiques and North Stars moved and they tried to crack down on fighting. I thought the game was getting too U.S.-ified, and I'm an U.S. citizen.

I never understood why Florida should have two NHL teams. I want the old NHL back. Bring back the Jets and Nordiques. I'd like to see the Whalers back too. Phoenix has no business having an NHL franchise. If they aren't moved to one of the aforementioned locales, Hamilton would be best.
