I totally remember this from Words & Pictures when I watched it as a child in the late 1980s growing up in Tasmania, classic stuff! Didn't know until now Words & Pictures was a British, thought it was Australian like Playschool. BTW I also remember the starburst on the light at the back of the pencil too lol

WOW! ...I havent seen this for 23 years.. the teachers used to bool a great big telly into the class and we would sit and watch 'Words and pictures' then we would have to copy the letters from the magic pen bit.....cool times... beats the shit out of tellytubbies...or ballamory and all the other crap T.V spews out now...Thanks for sharing the vid!

BRILLIANT! im 24 and watched words and pictures in infant school i.e '88-'91 and havent seen that for DONKEYS years we would all sit on the floor the teacher would command ''fingers up for magic pencil'' and in mid air the whole class would write the letter,it IS mesmorisng and looks like it hasnt changed since the 80's,i agree with brazenhead89 a few tears,lol. what a laugth to watch it again tho, god if only the bbc would show it again instead of just a website, id LOVE my 3 year old 2 c it -)
