  • its so horrible towatch

  • man....the music really sealed this scene for me once they put rudy on the pedistal. one of my favorite scenes

  • Saved by the fucking moon...

  • lunar* there* of* pochtitli*

And let's not forget, the Aztecs had prophesies of a blue eyed god who would come across the sea in a wooden something. Who wants to commit deicide? The Aztecs had engineering (basic geometry), advanced mathematics, and solar knowledge, while Europe was still a war-torn shitland of waste and theocracy.

    Mounted Steel+Cannons>Obsidian+Wood+Bone

  • @aimedbm

    @JrTheTrue1

    @MsTuneUp

    (Continuation of below post)

them, the Inca before them, and the Pohtitli before THEM. The Aztecs could predict lunad (and solar?) ecclipses down to the nanosecond, while Europe was still lynching Galileo for claiming the earth was round.

  • (Continuation of below post)

joined up with him, and he went to Tenochtitlan, commited genocide in the name of God, King, and Capitalism with the help of the gods in the form of cannons, which, of course, looked like living thunder to the Aztecs. Let's not forget the Cortes actually had a 300,000 strong horde f angry natives backing him up, or that they invited him into thir city in the first place. They, the Aztecs, actually had military control of most of South America, as did the Maya before

  • Actually he's right. Columbus, after enslaving and working to death about 4 million natives, returned to Europe with the sweet words, "Those devil worshiping fuckers are ripe for the taking!". Cortes, hearing this, went to the King of Spain, and said: "heyhey buddy, lemme go over their and get some gold". The King said sure, Cortes went his merry way with 200 cavalry and 20 cannon, or thereabouts, and arrived claiming to be a god. All the local villagers who were scared shitless of the Aztecs

  • Indiana jones and the temple of doom is nothing compared to that shit!

  • ....seriously...

  • before the Nazis, we got the Mayas... they're all DOGS.

  • satan black magic

  • the way the womans hair looks reminds me of the Pueblo indians in the USA

  • ok whitever

  • I was talking about the others... The ones offering the sacrifice. And there's no need for rudeness.

  • just looking at that sacrificial scene makes me slightly glad Europeans kinda conquered here and there... i mean, the natives of my country use to eat people, i don't care what kinda culture that is, it's wrong and gross

  • @mskittykat1101 You r not glad the Nazis conquered here and there aren't you?

  • @joncito77 LOL no... i'm not trying to be an ass, but just giving a small bit of credit where it's due. Some cultures were a little say "barbaric" I'd like to think they moved forward after being exposed to Western culture. This is not say that Europeans were so great, with their high and mighty attitude, taking over "savages" and stuff but I think i like a world where we don't sacrifice humans to Gods eh?

  • whoa, dude at 0:46, if i met him in an alley, i would shit a brick

  • shitt, i prefer the native americans of the north, they were all about peace with nature and spirits and mother earth , the peace pipe n shitt, these natives were just pure evil

  • destined to be the masters of time,, gotta admit thats pretty badass

  • Sesrunner08, I guess you were right, I looked in my history book. It said doing human sacrifices was to appease the gods. So you are correct, I guess I was overreacting, sorry.

  • Aztec scum

  • @blackpredator118 they are MAYA YOU FREAKING MORON !!!

  • @blackpredator118 it mayan empire

  • Man seeing those goddamn priests ranting and raving, I sure wish some anachronistic hero would appear and blow their brains out with a shot gun

  • Those bastards sure got theirs when the Spaniards arrived didn't they?

  • Man,back in those times!! My gosh, so brutal for your head to be cut off, then goes down the stairs and then your body!!!!! I don't know why that was such a big celebration to people back then!!! I do know that this was one of the most bloodiest civilizations ever.

  • @JAXSONPRICE really? You do not know why? Why dont you do some research on it! giving blood was a great honor back in Maya times, because to give blood was to give life. Blood can be equated with water, a resource that they really needed.

  • 1:35 job as furniture.

  • Now we know where Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was based on.

  • From around 0:15 onward sounds like the Terminator Theme.

  • Lol, I love the way the woman at 6:45 is just shaking her head, like she doesn't want to be there.

  • Sucks being a Mayan King knowing your son is a fat chum. Lol.

  • LUKIEST MOFO IN HISTORY.

  • If Zero Wolf hadn't been killed like a stuck pig... I mean, stuck tapir, he probably would have died from tetanus anyway. Can't imagine cutting myself across the palm that deep and then being able to handle a long jungle chase a few minutes later.

  • okay them girls with them braids scares the mess out of me. HAHa jumping all in they face when they walking to get sacrificed. Overall this movie is one of my favorites!!

  • @suspender2008 I know they're freaky.

  • Actually this is just another fine example of the immorality of All Religion (Past, present and Future) across all societies and classes. It's simply about a power structure and is used to keep that power structure in place. It doesn't matter if the depiction is historically accurate or not. Sacrifice is and has been a religious practice in many societies and like religion itself, is immoral.

  • :33 wtf?

  • Does anyone else see a fat kid on a throne smiling and enjoying this? 0_0

  • @minimoon113 no, i saw jabba the hut in his larva form.

  • @wwhulk12 lol

  • The guy who cuts up the men is wearing fake skin. LOLZ

  • Fucking Royals should sacrifice themselves because it is royal blood >:)

  • Thank you Christopher Columbus. I'll take Christianity and all the baggage that comes with it over mass human sacrifices any day.

  • @CambridgeHeights

Christianity has much more historical blood on its hands, continuing unabated into present day politics, than this pre-columbian society ever had. America's foreign policy is thinly veiled in christian religious rhetoric. And speaking of Columbus, another christian, he bathed in the blood of these peoples, destroyed them with his swords, values and diseases...Hitler was also a "christian"...get some perspective you narrow minded christian bigot.

  • @yodasodaskoda You're comparing Christianity with this mass children murdering, cannibalistic, inhumane filth ? That "society" deserved to be destroyed, no wonder they didn't last long and their descendants are now fucked. It's their own/ancestor's fault.

  • @botrjez Spoken just like a christian.

  • @yodasodaskoda What's so christian about it ? Everything we do has a consequence, whether we like it or not, it's the law of the universe, action and re-action. Those savage people had alot of evil, negativity, bad karma on their back and as a consequence were wiped out. Their ancestors still suffer to this day.

  • @botrjez These "savages" are noted for the only fully developed written language of the pre-Columbian Americas, and for advanced art, architecture, mathematical and astronomical systems. The average villager did not agree with or want sacrifice like this. The movie doesn't represent that view. Atrocities were by superstitious rulers out of touch with their people - no different to noble christian cruelty which destroyed most indigenous societies it touched. All in the name of Jesus.

  • @yodasodaskoda Calling Mesoamerican societies savage with no regard for why they did what they did or what they accomplished is wrong but I think you've done smething wrong too. Rewriting another peoples' belief system simply because there is something in it you don't like isn't right. All Mayans believed human sacrifice was necessary and good. Many volunteered to be sacrificed and the problem with this movie is not that it depicts sacrifice but rather that it misrepresents it.

  • The Mayans didn't go around brutally kidnapping anyone they could for sacrifice. They did not force it on people. In reality human sacrifices like the one depicted in this video were rare and those sacrificed were usually from the ruling classes precisely because human life was revered so much and noble blood was considered more meaningful to give. The sacrificed were captured in war and every soldier went into battle knowing that could be their fate.

  • @AdrianAnansi That is such bullshit. There may have been a minority of delusional warriors who volunteered for this, but the vast majority were captured prisoners and slaves who were forced to undergo this unspeakable torture for the most idiotic reasons imaginable. It's hard to believe that the human beings in this civilization were so incredibly ignorant. Thank goodness this civilization is dead and I hope we never see anything like it again.

  • @CambridgeHeights yeah dumbass you do know this is fiction right. mayans were very wise in astronomy and math.the sacrifices werent even like it shows here(actually its debated if sacrifices happened).they werent blood thirsty monsters as this film portrays them to be.unlike the europeans who also practiced sacrifice(like judeo religions),pedophilia(still do apparently),practiced worse slavery than other societies, etc if you are going to judge a society judge it through research not a movie

  • @cooks1234 I know history. Keep believing your feel-good fluff if you want. 'All of the white European civilizations were the evil and ignorant. All the minorities of today had wonderful, advanced, peace-loving societies.' I prefer to have my head in reality.

  • @CambridgeHeights wow really what a stupid reply.one white europeans thers a problem europeans are not white look at piece of paper and then euros and youll see the difference.two i never said other societies were peace loving obviouisly there were problems all i said is that euros made the situation worse example iraq and afghanistan.three what feel good fluff are you talking about exactly hmm i was just pointing out the fact this film is fiction and the fact its been proven in the past

  • @CambridgeHeights i mean really the only reason i commented was cause of the fact your comments were pretty ignorant i thought cause you were those oh gibson makes historically fact movies which he doesnt look at the passion.but know i see its because your just ignorant.for someone who claims to have their head in reality you sure as heck prove you do not.white euros really ive seen modern jews and even african albinos whiter than euros.again do research and educate yourself.

  • @CambridgeHeights especially a movie made by a guy who made so much inaccuracy in the movie(its been pointed out so many times) and apparently has issues with jews.by the way no that civilization is not dead people, language, etc still exist just got forced into a more worse off society.also your saying"I hope we never see anything like it again"well sorry to say there is one(which unlike this movie is real) ever hear of usa i recommend doing research on its violent propagandic bigoted history.

  • @yodasodaskoda Yes Mayan's were so advanced that they didnt know about wheel in 16 century, didnt know about iron, coal, boats and i cant mention all the things because the list is huge and this so ''advanced civilization'' let 200 men to conquer them well i believe you that they were so ''advanced''

  • @aimedbm Actually this is the Aztecs and the hundred Spaniards plus all the other pissed off oppressed tribes defeated them. Did not help that they thought Cortes was the god Quetzacoatl returned to them.

  • @aimedbm You're a fucking idiot, I'm sorry I don't want to judge but you are a complete moron. They were not conquered by 200 men...The main killer of the Native Mayas and Aztec were the diseases the filthy spaniards carried with them. At this time the Natives had better hygene and actually took baths unlike most europeans. They were more advanced in Astronomy, Math(actually knew about the number zero), and much more.

  • @MsTuneUp yes natives were much better then the spaniards with wooden swords no wheel in 16 century,no iron no horses...spaniards didnt know about math, astronomy?Dude then how they discovered America?????They didnt take bath yeah right...dude check your points before you make a coment....Big civilizations dont get conquered in 2 years as aztec did......or inca or maya...........

  • @aimedbm If you really believe that I have to think you are trolling or just out right idiotic. Look up some history fool, when you compare "Natives" to Europeans you have to see them through different sides. Your moronic arguments are pathetic, THEY DIDNT HAVE AS MUCH TIME FIGHTING AND EXPANDING AS EUROPE HAD. Look at europe's history, it was all fighting...weapons and transports were obviously going to be more advanced. I didnt say they didnt use math or science...but the Mayas knew

  • @aimedbm The mayas used "0" which is huge in Mathmatics you moron, plus they found america on accident. It was a fluke, the idiots were looking for the east and india. No horses and iron because those things were not in America at the time. Also it's easier to conquer a civilization when the natives are not immune to diseases that the spanish and europeans brought over. Do some research inbred fuck, more deaths were to diseases than actual battles. I could go on but I'll let you go now.

  • @JrTheTrue1 America was found by Columbo on accident moron cortez was not there on accident......More deaths were from diseases what a rubish....still they could gather army and kill them if they wanted it but why they didnt do it i leave you to answer.....and i do a research dont worry for that...dont tell me about advanced civilizations i can clearly figure that out....in fact its clear the better wins huh enough said for your lizzard brain

  • @aimedbm As for weapons, europe was more developed in that aspect because the europeans were more war hungry than any other people. They started killing, and conquering long before. The Natives were not as war hungry, though did kill but in different means. To say the natives were more savage than europeans is ridiculous.

  • @MsTuneUp yeah and how did aztecs maya and inca make their empires with love?????War dude war and stop pointing that they were something better they are all the same

  • @yodasodaskoda First of all I'm not a Christian you presumptive fuck. I'm an atheist. Second, there's a difference between a religious person doing bad things, and a person doing bad things in the name of their religion. Hitler killed for racial purity, ethnic hatred, etc. The religion of the Aztecs and Mayans commanded them to kill tens of thousands of people (mostly captured slaves) every year so that the gods don't burn the earth. So Christianity is a lot better than this savage religion.

  • @CambridgeHeights What a confused individual you are. An athiest who expresses a preference for christianity. Now that's just weird. You might not be able to get this concept, being a non-believer and all, but you can't really separate actions from spirituality regardless of your semantic rationalisations. You don't check your beliefs - or like you, your lack of them - at the door. You can't claim authentically that one form of extermination is anymore spiritually sound than another.

  • @CambridgeHeights You have it wrong, there was a lot more reasoning behind the scarifies. For example the Maya would do it only during time of festivals, and wanting rain. The aztecs on the other hand, well they where worried that they sun would not rise. NOT BURNING THE EARTH.

  • @CambridgeHeights The white man sacrifices children to devil Baphomet. What does christianty have to do with the fact that Christopher Columbus was the devil and slaughtered millions of Native Indians. The White man is the devil and the true savage of the earth.

    dumb cracker

  • man i hate that roal man with decorations on him i'd stabb him with a kife if he realli did stabb mi boo jagur paw lik for real fuk him

  • DAMN! So glad my ancetors killed off these dudes

  • @Nightx88 ha ha lol.

  • @Nightx88 hahahaha NO NO NO! Im not chinese, korean, japanesse,or any asian! Im Spanish,Italian,Chumash, and Dutch. haha and im squinting in that picture cause it was like 1:00 am and i was super tired and the screen was bright as hell

  • @AssassinsScar motherfucker these r my ancesters!! and im proud be part aztec!

  • @theshizznit777 what's the problem? you may be proud to be part aztec. okay, the way to sacrifice people is bad, but it isn't your blame, right? :)

  • blood is the liquid of life. Kukulkan!!!

  • nothing much has changed really has it?

  • There is no S sound in their language )))

    The films is FANTASTIC!!!

  • Or is she sick with smallpox?

  • @KameliaSembve smallpox

  • Is the girl in the 6th part sick with leprosy?

  • @KameliaSembve Yeah..... I think.

  • Its not mayan It's aztec

  • @bttfjulesvernemarty meluseda dialectspoken in the particular area

  • In mama

  • Man I hate that royal fat kid

  • @Rebphoenix Me, too. He´ a son of a bitch.

  • @TheAlmost96 i would like to kick him down the stairs just because he is fat

  • This is my favourite movie of all time. This scene is so incredibly epic.

  • Hey guys! Im a mexican anthropologist, and one way to perceive the "end of the world" mayan affair, is to see the end of an era, and the beggining of a new one. Think about it as the world entering a new moment in which we shall rejoice. Also, dont take this movie that seriously, it depicts exaggerated moments of this culture, but moments like this were reserved for special ocasions in which a lot of social groups were dangerously gathering and showed a threat to the big city

  • LMFAO! Look at d midget!

  • They can look at the eclipse and retain their sight?

  • @blowersho Mel was drunk when he did this so...

  • Rly gotta stink there

  • There is deep symbolism in this movie..the heart of god..the pain of love..the fear.. the wound in the heart that turns weak people vile. life and death..the sacrifice.. It is a VERY good movie. Kukulcan lives! And there IS justice. The core is the same in all traditions, religions..the cosmic game.

  • Were supposed to believe these guys when they said the world will end in 2012. haha dumbasses

  • @Buffalo4Ever78 only if you are stupid. which tells me you actually did believe it. calm down it is a freaking movie they exaggerated parts of it. Hey the euro were not any nicer with each other.

  • @Alan13726 woah i did not believe that at all, every time i mention something happening past 2012 everyone i know goes well its gonna end in 2012 so... and i just shake my head cause its so ridiculous

  • The High Priest is like the "Media" today.

  • @chuchukabingbing as MANIPULATIVE you mean :)

  • @VigenToT Correct!

  • so powerful. It stays with you watching this movie

  • lol, only in a movie will an eclipse be this fast

  • @Lightblinder

... Solar eclipses only last a few minutes.

  • And our society is not so innocent, we the people who pay money to support these films and to see blood and gore. Human sacrifice was a considered a deeply sacred ritual act while this movie is violence and blood for the sake of violence and blood and does nothing to depict the actual society of the Maya. You should probably know that you movies are fiction and are very often factual wrong, just as it is a physical impossibility for an eclipse to happen during a full moon.

  • @ekim3290 You misinterpret the movie then!

  • that fat boy needs to runs them stairs. and damn imagine being in line for that. fuck tht.

  • What is the name of the drums song playing in the beginning when everybody is jumping???

  • Well done Spanish!

  • Badly researched, western biased claptrap.

  • @akrifasouth Human sacrifice DID happen though,....

  • @MegaOrangePe Of course human sacrifice happened (think about the fatuous human sacrifices of the First World War!). But there was an extremely sincere, deep-felt devotion that pervaded both Aztec and Mayan religion. In this movie they portray the barbarians as civilised, and the civilised as effeminate barbarians. Terribly American to be cynical about those with higher learning. You have to be "lower middle class" or as common as muck if you are to get any respect from your average American

  • @akrifasouth How would you know any of this?

  • @MegaOrangePenguin It's quite easy to know this - just buy a contemporary academic history textbook on the subject. It is a subject I have studied extensively for purposes of my profession - but any well-researched textbook can inform you well enough. Hell - there are even documentaries on Youtube that are quite excellent.

  • @akrifasouth Well, yes, common sense would dictate that movies shouldn't be used for the study of history. It's an inaccurate movie, just as most are, BUT it's still fun to watch. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about the inaccuracy of this movie. Anyone who uses it for accuracy is dim-witted :P

  • @MegaOrangePenguin Crappy dialogue (of the monkey-typewriter variety), predictable plot - nice to look at. But how long can you spend staring a a beautiful ... splat. Can't agree with you here.

  • @akrifasouth How sweet you romantize tribal culture, but they not only killed for "sincere devoted religious beliefs" but also they took other tribes over and enslaved them, they raped and pillaged. They were not saints. If they had the intelligence to make sea capable ships and guns, they'd do no less than the "evil" white man.

  • @taffina123 I never mentioned " evil white men". You did. Civilised culture is not only made up of white men. There are women too - and a great many of them are black. In fact - most of the civilised world happens not to be caucasian. I never called these people saints either. I said that their culture needs to be studied without western Judeo-Christian blinkers on.

  • @akrifasouth they did it for effect. the sacrifice is obviously based on aztec traditions and not mayan ones, but its very accurate in that way. its not a documentary, hopefully i got some viewers interested in mayan classical history to do some of their own research instead of letting hollywood do it for them. i liked the film for what it was, and im one of those people who threw a fit over the white spartans in 300. still do.

  • Oh that's horrifying it makes be sick that they do that just because they believe that u can't use humans to be sacrificed is that still happening in some parts of the world?? If so anyone know where???

  • @Mikitakuful uh yeah of course this happened. every day. hundreds of years.

  • this scene makes me respect and cherish my life so much

  • Look at the smiles on the emperor and priest mouth when the eclipse happens. They were expecting it (or knew how to use it on that moment) and used it to please the people and give them hope (too bad a load of guy's died because of that)

But there is something stupid in here..... a full eclipse only happens on NEW MOON...... but on the scene at night of that day (when he's already in the jungle, and his chasers are using torches) you can see clearly A FULL MOON on the sky........ WTF?

  • @nsdgvsdhfhjdfbd Silly... Don't you understand? The eclipse is the sign from Kukulkan that he has accepted the sacrifice and that he will end the people's strife. It has nothing to do with the moon's orbit around the sun! :-P

  • @Viljarism LOL. Yeah I read that line too. Good, for a minute I tought it was a movie mistake XB

  • @nsdgvsdhfhjdfbd The Mayan calendar was able to predict eclipses. It was very manipultive! But leaders nowadays are JUST as manipulative. It's how they herd the uneducated

  • The beheadings and the skewing of heads and pretty much the ambience was similar to the European guillatine era, "The Great Terror", which took place roughly around the same historical date. The Europeans also beheaded thousands in a single day of guillatine executions. But their executions weren't tribute to any god, or did it?

  • @s7427beast You need to reread your history. This film is apparently set right at the beginning of the 16th century (1502), the Great Terror of the French revolution didn't take place till almost 300 years later (end of 18th century).

  • @s7427beast The French Revolution was a social uprising. However this sacrificial mayan stuff served no purpose.

  • These people know how to party in the most violent way possible

  • Yea well they kill hundreds in a ritualistic manner to appease what they believe were gods... The Spaniards and the Europeans exterminated more than 70 million in there quest for gold and land. Who is the bigger beast? In my island alone 6 million purchase from slavery in less than 50 years. The Tainos dint practice human sacrifice but were exterminated just the same.

  • fuck this film

  • Just gotta say...thank goodness piercings are more sanitary these days.
