@djTekaP I'm not 100% sure either, but one (if not the) main difference between reptiles and amfibians is that amfibeans also partially live in water, and never go far from water if they're on land. I'm pretty sure that's also the case with alligators.

And don't worry, nobody will think you mean any harm to them by defending your opinion with facts ;)

Alligators are not amphibians. They are members of the family Crocodylidae, including alligators, crocodiles, caimans, and gharials.  They are members of one of the oldest family of reptiles still living. Please do at least a five-second google search to back up your facts before correcting people XP
