Rena looks as though she's being pulled by something towards the camera and the look on her face plus the crying too me says "i dont want to" as if she's being forced to do something (killing most likely) and she's putting up a futile resistance against a force that will make her kill.

@gohanluigi123 first time watching that, it was really really intense. I was like, man Satoshi had the worst! Keiichi was the only other one that had the Hirugashi Syndrome just as bad. Maybe not all at once like Satoshi did, but just as intense in the end.

But as I far know or can tell, Satoshi disappeared in every arc. Keiichi went semi / crazy twice. Rikia talked about her, Tomitake, and 'Takano's' death always happening, but never said anything about Satoshi going missing every time.

i understand what you're trying to say. In all honesty I both hate and pity Takano. If her childhood wasn't so screwed up then maybe she could've been a normal person and the Higurashi characters would not of have had to die, but that is not what happened. There were many different things Takano could've done differently, rather than resorting to murder to achieve her dream. A dream achieved through the blood of innocents is no dream worth achieving.

Making Takano a character at least some of the viewers could feel sympathetic for is very Higurashi, and frankly contributed a sizable lump of emotional appeal to the series.

The series in general is brilliantly crafted and executed, though. I've never seen anything like it. A 'horror' series I actually enjoyed. It was very powerful.

@KiraJadeRose in the world that rika goes to when she's hit by the bus in the OVA, im pretty sure the reason that takano wasnt there was because her parents never died in the bus crash. so she never met takano hifumi and she never even found out about hinamizawa syndrome. the bus driver that had the heart attack is bassicly the whole cause of everything that happened in the series, so you would think it would be bus drivers that takano would want to kill rather than rika and her friends, lolz
