  • Just started making these blocks with the Aubry Rose jelly roll, loving it so far. You girls are great.

  • this is amazing. If you thought up all these shortcuts you are amazing also. I did one of these and cut out each piece one by one, you can see why I was so excited when I saw this tuturial. Many other tuturials you have done I have yet to try, but I won't be going back to the old way. I am working on the stripped one now and can't wait to finish, Many thanks for you're ideas.

  • @jeri0372 Thank you so much!! Can't wait to see what you make!

  • thank you so much SarahMSQC. I will email you some pictures. Tell Jennie she does an awesome job with her videos, and even a beginner like myself can easily follow along! Very much appreciated.

  • oh... I think I already shared it with you on the facebook site. (you can grab it from there if you like) sorry about the confusion. (I am Edie on facebook) I shared it on the quilting deal page.

  • @Rhaorth Perfect!! Thank you!! I will go check it out!! :) Have a great week!

  • @SarahMSQC very welcome, and thank you as well. I hope you all have a great week too!

  • @Rhaorth Will do! Thanks again for your sweet comment!

  • what an awesome quilt, and you make it look so easy. Since I do not have charm packs I am going to use some pretty scraps and yardage I have on hand. I wanted to make a quilt for my mother in law for christmas, and since I did not get one done, I gave her an IOU, so now I know what I am going to make! Thank you so much! Do you have a place where we can share photos of quilts? I wanted to show you the attic window I am working on for my father in law. :)

  • @Rhaorth We LOVE photos of your quilts!! You can email them to me and I Post them on the blog or facebook. I am so glad you found the idea for your next quilt!! Good luck!

  • Hello ,please ,could you tell how many blocks of the 4 patch and hou many xs from a jelly roll ? it is difficult to see on the video

  • @nechamatova1 You will get 24 16 patch blocks and 24 of the X blocks.

  • Thanks Jenny, I love this pattern, always wanted to make one but thot it too complex

  • @mjcusson Now you know you can do it!! :) YAY!

  • Hello Jenny, I'm half way finished! Yahoo! When sewing the x blocks to the 9 patch blocks how did you get the block to line up? Don't you loose a 1/4 inch on each corner. How big are the small corner blocks in the X block?

  • @northernshow The blocks in the corners are 2.5 inches square and the blocks should be the same size and line up perfectly. How are you liking it?

  • Still trying to figure out how many charm packs are needed to make this quilt lap size. Please help.

  • @northernshow Hi there- You will need about...3 to 4 printed charm packs and about 2 solid charm packs for a lap size. i made a twin with 1 jelly roll and 2 yards of background fabric. Have fun!!

  • @jennydoan57 Thank you Jenny. I have recommended your site to several quilters. I love it!

  • Sewing all those little squares together looks kind of tedious to me for my tastes, but I was thinking that the block of many little squares could be replaced by a single block of patterned fabric to make this a lot faster. And, of course, make the little triangles on the X's match the blocks in the middle. I think it might actually look really nice done this way in two solid colors even. :-)

  • Note: I just re-watched the video on making quick four patches, and that would help, but I'm still not sure I'd want to take the time. lol. ;-) That's just me, though.

  • @MEStephKJV Sounds like a great variation. Good luck and have fun making yours!

  • I sent two photo's of my quilt top. Let me know that you received. please. Thank you so much for the wonderful video!! Made this so much fun to make for my husband.

  • @quiltandsew yay!! Can't wait to see them!! Thank you!

  • My husband is still deployed and loves Batik colors. I really would like to make this one!!! If you have a printable version I sure could use it since he will be home soon end of Jan. If not wish me luck to remember what I have seen and horrible notes that I usually take lol.

  • @quiltandsew We are working on printable instructions!! Hopefully soon!! Good luck in making your husband his quilt!

  • That is amazing. Do you cut your char pack into 4's to make the 4 patch?

  • A lovely looking quilt.

How many strips in total did you use for all of the scrappy four patch blocks, and how many did you use for all of the X blocks? How many blocks did you cut from the additional solid material? Thank you for another great tutorial.

  • I love this! Now I'm going to have to make this... and everything else you teach.... lol dang you and your amazing tutorials.... I going to be quilting in my sleep haa haa.

  • Wow, that is fantastic Joan!

  • How do you get a scrappy 4 patch out of a jelly roll???

The tutorial is showing you using a charm pack.

  • @TAEproductions123 you sew 2 jelly roll strips together and cut them into 5" pieces. Then put them together like the charm square tutorial shows and sew to make them 4.5" x 4.5" blocks.

  • @TAEproductions123 You just sew 4 strips together and cut them into 2.5 inch segments and mix them up! It is easy and fun!

  • Jenny,

This is really great. You guys are awesome!!!!

I'ld like to know how much background fabric I will need.

  • @LQSmarjan You will need about 2 yards...have fun!

  • As usual, Jenny, You are brilliant! Thank you Hugs, Jan

  • I love it!!!!! Thank you for showing us!! :)

  • love it!

  • Wow!! Jenny, this is tooooo cool. I have 2 matching bali pops I've been wanting to use for a quilt for my bed, but I couldn't decide on a pattern. I think this is the one!! Thanks so much.
