I'm from Florida, and I agree. Hit 60 degrees and the jacket comes on. When I was in Jersey, I was out in the snow with shorts and a t-shirt, with no shoes, and I was born in Florida. The waves suck in Florida, too.

Bottom Line NJ has the highest quality barrels on the east coast. OBX close second with the quality sandbars if you ask me, but more consistent then NJ. Florida is were i live now onshore bullshit all the time. Sebastian inlet= overrated closeout that people get excited about down here cause its the only wave that stands up. Sure the waters nice all year but i havent seen a wave thats scared me in my 3 yrs of living here, as opposed to almost drowning once a month from NJ winter frieght trains

I wanted to start surfing after returning from Belmar. Kids bragged about Jupiter back in the 90's. I haven't seen a wave worth riding in over 10 years. Belmar, on good days, has beast waves. There was a storm in like 88-89. Water was washing onto the street. Fucking waves would send you to your grave My uncle looked at some guy, and was like, you ride that? Had to be 10-15 feet, and agressive as hell

NEWSFLASH: S-Turns is not the "best break on the East Coast". Very good and consistently classic sandbar - of course, no doubt, can't argue that. Best? NOT. Bring up Google Earth and explore the northeast dude, educate yourself.
