  • Gitanas por el mundo

  • Belly dancing is not ancient egyptian in origin. It is Indian gypsy in origin. The jhatkas (hip thrusts) and matkas (hand and neck gestures) are all Indian in origin.

  • @crematophor belly dancing is from every where in the middle eastern region. egypt and india included. they cannot trace the exact place where it started and i honestly don't really see why it matters

  • How many hours and hours of practice did it take to put together this fabulous dance montage?

I thought the best segment was from 2:00 to 2:06. Great balance & artistry!

  • waou !!!!!! De vraies professionnelles en toutes les fusions présentées sur cette vidéo !! dignes d'etre au top des top !!quelles années d'études !!

  • Seeing the different costuming was great! ;)

  • who plays this song? its enchanting!

  • @sofrosch That;s the whole idea you idiot. That way their rotten kids rob you blind with you distracted. I see this, I'm wary for pickpockets, and beat little kids on sight.

  • ..love gypsy music!..wanna learn how to play it..

  • lovely lovely, brilliant filming and editing too, great choice of music:)

  • how come there are no dances of the gypsies from eastern european?that's where most gypsies are at the moment and for the past one hundred years.

  • HECK YEAH!!!

  • I'm so impressed that you've learn these dances from all over. I recognized many of them, being a fan of flamenco, bollywood, obviously ME...but damn, getting those Rajasthani dances in there - I was truly truly impressed. you guys are scholars as well as dancers.

  • that is ofcourse , because rajasthan in india is the first in the gypsie trail. All gypsies in the world can trace their roots to india, hence the dances have similar patterns. The Banjaras of rajasthan are another major Romani group. I saw one scene with a Banjara dance in here. Awesome !

  • Actually, I think the rhythm is a Laz, a 7/8 Turkish. Regardless, these dancers and musicians look wonderful! Huge amount of talent, skill and variety. Yeah, I'm going to the website too . . .

  • Oh beautiful! I don't care what you call this style of dance, it all captures natural, sensual movement and comes from the heart.

    I must have your DVD!:D

  • Wow! Just...wow! Couldn't breathe very well--definately couldn't take my eyes away! Going to your website RIGHT NOW!!!!

  • this is 9/8 turkish rhythm right? although the video is a fusion of all styles of dance

  • Really enjoyed this video.

So many grandmother's secrets shared in the common heritage of the Romany dance. I started in Caberet Belly Dance 10 years ago learnt from Raq Sharqi, then Tribal Fusion now I am adding amazing moves from this Romany tradition.

    Many thanks mrsmiggins13
