  • Sky50, could you put the names of the musicians in the description of the video please ?

    Great post, thank you !

  • The interaction is incredible. Bravo

  • Three minutes worth of tune up?

  • @montezumasrevenge Take the cement out of your ears, open your mind, and listen. You might actually learn something.

  • No Matter how many times I watch this, it blows me away each time like it was new. They just cook their asses off and truely do lift us to the heavens with them.

  • More than lifting the bandstand, they levitated it to the heavens. Simply incredible music. Steve is sorely missed in this world.

  • You are not kidding. I was late convert to this man's music, but once I "heard it" I couldn't let go. Truth is compelling like that! Very great loss to the music-one of the old guard who was still really contributing to the advance of the music (Sam Rivers too). Great performance!

  • WOW.THIS IS GREAT.. GEEZZZZ

  • "des puuuuuuuures merveilles..." oui oui

  • Wow, The Great Sextet of Steve Lacy! Thank you!

  • Ottimo

  • It's so nice to have some video of the late drummer Oliver Johnson. I mentioned his name to Billy Hart and he put his praying hands together, looked skyward and said, "Another genius."

  • WOW, this guy was really something else

  • This solo/improvisation sequence is amazing. The interplay between Lacy and Potts is nothing short of stunning.

  • Amaaazing have been listening to Lacy/Potts for a while, wife plays a mean fiddle also !

  • There has never been another vocalist like Irene Aebi. Fantastic.

  • You are right on that one. Totally unique and for that alone she needs praise. An acquired taste for some, but excellent never the less.

  • Unfortunately, we can't see the beginning of this beautiful theme, called "Prospectus". Great alto sax Steve Potts, Irene Aebi (violin and vo.), Jean-Jacques Avenel on bass, Oliver Johnson on drums (?)

  • Yeah...cool.

  • thank you SO MUCH for posting this!!! got more from this film? wonderful.

  • great stuff. spontaneous improv!!!

  • It is Bobby Few on piano

  • wonderful! who's the pianist?

  • Awesome, thanks.
