i have been training capoeira for less then a year now and i can do almost every advanced move like au sem mao , raiz , helicopteiro , macaco and so on. for you suspicious people out there , it doesn't matters how long do you train , but how much you devote yourself to it.
@MrPredatorix I believe you. Some people have better bodies built for it. Natural flexibility and a good core helps A LOT. It stinks cause I hurt my wrist real bad in 2009 and it really slowed me down. Ive also dislocated my shoulder. I havent been training heavily this year at all currently from an ankle injury. It gives me time to work my music as well as focus on mandinga rather than power.
@kbk4231 Flexibility will come with practice. No one expects you to kick really high from the start. Capoeira originates from Brazil, an artform created by slaves and former slaves.
i like it, 'cu you look like a perfectionist, but that jinga of yours looks a 'lil to stiff and jumpy for me.
And sometimes it also looked like you were lossing rhytm. But ya know, each one of the group has their own style.. im not judgin' and im rly interested how long are ya trainin' :)

i have a question. do you have to be flexible to do the kicks? and where does capoeira originate from?......very cool
