  • well that may be true but it also depends on how well you take care of your car. If you don't do maintenance, treat the car like crap and drive it rough it's not going to last. Toyota is still one of the most reliable and dependable cars and I am not saying this because I only buy Toyota or something. Because I don't have a Toyota. I have a Mazda. But I have had many experiences with them.

  • how much is it

  • It's kinda funny how camrys are only a little more expensive than a corolla yet they're so much nicer.

  • camry's are tanks

  • my grandother's 04 camry has 300,000 miles in it and has been through 1 battery. never been in service but for that.

  • @mike2moto If it hasnt been serviced for so long your grandmother better hope that she get rid of it because it will be A LOT of money to service it now because your suppose to lubricate the spark plugs at 60,000 otherwise moisture and dirt will cause it to seize and then you will need to do a engine head job.

  • @94navin she just got rid of it for a 2012 honda accord. the head gasket blew. hell 300,000 miles isn't bad, but i do agree with your comment.

  • I seem to recall some of the newer toyotas gas pedals sticking, sending drivers everywhere they didn't want to be

  • @kiddkriss181 jesus that was blown out of proportion, half of those were proved fake, and the main problem was after market floor mats with deep rubber grooves, so when you floor it, theyd get caught.

  • Intechdude, i see that you are totally baised against toyota, while i agree with you that the recent camrys interior quality has dropped compared to older models, its reliablity is still second to none.

  • @wokstar666 Are you joking dude?? It's recall after recall

  • haha dude, its a toyota camry :D

  • My friend has one of these with the rare 5-speed manual, and having driven these Camrys with both trannys, the 5MT makes it worlds more interesting to drive

  • man, i just miss a camry sold in craiglist the same year for only 36k mile on it, and the guy only want $6700, he post at night and sold in the morning. I mean i call and told him i'm go at noon but he sold it in the morning. man the camry 2000 is my favorit car, my dad used to have 95 camry and he change oil once a year, he just keep adding oil. that thing just never die, thanks god the someone hit his car and we finally got a new one, otherwise i'm gonna get that old stingy car for sure.

  • what do you mean pure garbage 02 and newer in the camrys my dad has 07 right now before that and 04 then before that a 98 then before that he had a 95 corolla his first toyota we havent had any major issues out of the three camrys he has had no problems in the 04 or 07 a couple he had in the 98

  • @schindlerman96

Terrible quality, Engines, style, reliability. Your talking about 1 car of each year out of possible millions made.

But really from what u mentioned, the 95 Corolla & 98 Camry u were far better & can outlast the newer 1's u also said.

U're free to disagree with me but its true.

  • @Intechdude300 well I just really have always liked toyota and never will change my mind they the 07 or 04 hasnt left us sitting

  • @schindlerman96 You: I hate Toyotas!

    Me: I hate you!

    (Jokes!)

  • @AirCanadaA55555A I would never put down toyota they are my favorite brand of car I love them

  • @schindlerman96 No, I love Toyotas too! I am talking about whatever300, its actually a conversation script!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A I know I wont say their the best cause no automaker is the best they all have recalls they all have flaws in the car and car design and lastly they all have problems but toyota is the top car company in my book people acted like toyota was the only one that had trouble with pedals there wasnt as much info on dodge as toyota but the pedal that was faulty dodge used the same on some of their vehicles

  • @schindlerman96 Yes, I know, they are very reliable!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A our 04 and 07 camry hasnt left us sitting cranked everytime the 98 that my dad had he was leaving the toyota factory where he worked one day and something happened it quit and wouldnt start but it was fixed that evening

  • @schindlerman96 Oh, thats nice!

  • @Intechdude300 then again you know the 98 camry was a good camry but that was the camry he owned that left him sitting at work and the other two havent all companies do have their problems and then when you think about like you said I was talking about one car from each year out of millions made thats true

  • @Intechdude300 No you could not be more wrong. Toyota was and still is one of the best cars around. You can feel free to disagree with me but you are WRONG. I am a mechanic and I have only seen Toyota betting better and better except for 2011 which was a bad year otherwise that they are still strong and reliable.

  • @94navin Better & better? Clearly you are overlooking the obvious quality issues of the Camry. Especially the 2007+ model.

  • @Intechdude300 What quality issues? the interior?Engine?

  • @94navin 2007+ Interior quality & fit/finish is worst in it's class. We bought many Camry's with bad wheel bears at 40K, Struts gone at 70K. Beginning to spot 2010 4 cyl models suffering with torque converters issues around the 100K mark. And im not a fan that Toyota went the Volkswagen route where the transmission doesnt require servicing (as stated from dealer friends). Lifetime fluid which we know that no fluid is the same after lots of use.

  • Looks like this toyota got off with a warning!!!

  • My cousin has an XLE V6, 2001, I think, same color, too with Tan Cloth and Aluminum interior trim.

  • @fanowner12

Yeah the V6 version in the style is also good.

  • @Intechdude300 I agree with you man, the 02-06 Camry have a strange control panel display and the bottom of it is like empty!

  • hey its almost my old camry! Do a video of one if you find a 92-96! I kind of miss that car whenever I see one but then I just go drive my Accord and forget about it again BWAHAHA I'll tell you this, that 2.2L is pretty smooth but its slow as fuck and gets noisy when you push it. The funny thing is the V6 in the Accord gets similar mileage as this car but I do miss the larger 18.5 gallon gas tanks on these cars. Yeah these were well built just insanely bland.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

Good but bland. Its actually kinda tough to find the 92-96 style in good shape, I'll keep it in mind.

  • @Intechdude300 Hey, what do you think of the Hyundai SUV's? BTW, my guidance councilor has a 2010 Corolla and she pretty much hates it!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A

The Santa Fe is just dated & is a rolling dinosaur. The Veracruz is kinda've nice looking but it's styling quickly got dated as its looks have too much Santa Fe Influence. The Interiors themselves do have some cheap touches to them tho its not terribly bad, but not really the interior of a car I would want to own. The new Tucson really is nice looking styling wise. I have sat in it but not long enough to really get a good feel of the interior so I need to do that 1.

  • @Intechdude300 Nice, but you have to agree, the worst car or van out there is the Pontiac Montana!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A

Oh that thing is such a Death trap, Along with the Venture & Silhouette.

  • @Intechdude300 And don't forget the paint, I assume in a week after release there are already wears and rust outside and wear and tear inside, and also the caravan, the base model is like what Mr.Krabs would buy! The Camry now, the Sonata I think took its place after 2001, and the 2011 Corolla is a rip off! In fact a guy who reviewed the car said it was shitty more than one time! Although the back tail lights look like a Mazda 6!

  • What's so bad about the 2002-06 Camry? I could see what you mean about the 2007-current since my dad has an 07. I have an 08 Solara which is based on the previous gen Camry, and the current Camry does feel a bit sloppier and cheap inside. My sister also has a 99 Solara with around 110k miles still running strong

  • @irw08

We've bought so many of them & they R just disposable. Body panels, Engine, struts, interior, electronic throttle, transmission. It just goes on & on. We've deal with like 60 of the 02-06's between the up until 2008. Literally, 2 o them also had sticky electronic & the throttle body had to be opened to force shut them, was kinda funny tho.

  • @Intechdude300 Heard about the gas pedal issue last year?

  • @AirCanadaA55555A

These oldies are via Cable, Non of that electronic throttle BS that they started doing in 2002. They always documented the 07 Camry with the throttle issues but Toyota's been quite about the 2002-2006 models which also has issues.

  • @Intechdude300 True! But I like the actual 1997 Camry just saying. 1998 Corolla is my second favourite. Anyway, yeah, big corporate companies with fat presidents eating doughnuts will keep quiet about an issue!

  • Now that you've mentioned Retro Toyotas, one of my cousins had a '99 Corolla and it had beyond 300,000KMs and it worked perfect. Don't forget Toyota's 22R-E.

  • @KingEastCoast

The 1998+ newer Corolla's are also not really good. U have to baby those to keep them going. In that year, it's where quality for Toyota started to dive. Depending on the owner even the biggest POS can somewhat last.

97 an older corolla's were the good 1's. Rav4 is 2000 and older, Tacoma is 2004 and older, 4Runner is 2002 & older, Mini Van is the 97 Previa & older.

  • @Intechdude300 I beg to differ a bit...

Best trucks were 1995 and older with the 22RE. Anything newer than that is junk. 3.0 and 3.4 V6s always had head gasket problems.

Toyota never made a good mini-van, the Previa is oddly designed and has tons of electrical problems

RAV-4s had sludge problems and they have always been cheaply built, even the 96-2000 were just as cheap as the Corolla (hence the same platform).

  • @2004NissanSentra

    Previas used an MR layout

  • @KingEastCoast that's where it gets ugly if your mechanic doesn't know what he's doing, it was a piss poor design for a mini van.

  • @2004NissanSentra The 3.4L V6 did not have head gasket problems, that was the 3.0, and not all of the 3.0s had head gasket issues.

  • I agree on your opinion these older camrys has better quality than the newer camrys.

My mom has an 01 camry with over 200000 miles on it and it still drives like a dream lol
