  • this seriously needs more views...

  • me: ok who touched the flucking dislike button.

person 1: me because I don't know music even if it hit me with a bat.

    person 2: im a fagot.

person 3: same as person number 1.

  • I Will post it here also because i want to read it i dont want thumps up just replays!

I wish kurt with layne could do the same thing as these gyus did.It would be really fantastic , these gyus make a emotional grunge music ( i think) and nirvana with alice in chains could do some more aggresive grunge music , but life is not as we want. Anyway i loved these gyus not only for the music which grew me up but because regardless they were playing the same music THEY WERE GOOD FRIENDS EACH OTHER

  • i listened to Chris Cornell live for the first time 2 days ago... he sang this song on a acustic guitar, i cried...it was unreal :)

  • @valeferht Thats how I felt back in 90/91 when I first herd this song. To bad Temple of the Dog made only one album. RIP Andy. The early 90s was a time to live.

  • i was born when they made this song, and i remember this playing on radio when i was kid. I managed to listen it today

  • beautiful song

  • thx 4 upload..great song!

  • 1:09 EDDIE!! <3

  • I'm going hungry for more grunge

  • nice blend. . .whew, chris cornel has one of the best voices ever. . .

  • Two people mind stealing bread.

  • Always loved 1:09 of this song when he kicks in....too bad Vedder is nothing but a socialist/commie twat for a human being...oh and hasn't written a good song since Yield.

  • @vaportrails44 what's wrong with socialism?

  • TotD were a supergroup before they even knew they were. EPIC!!

  • This makes me laugh so much when you see eddie sing, idk. Only time he's ever been in such a stupid position :L well good song tho

  • du you know what this song is about all the stupid sickening people asking for the bad antichrists to do something sick for them instead of trying to help get hem saved. i mean was it an evil god that put me here on this planet in these four universes or not?

  • This song makes me feel like I'm standing on top of a grassy hill with fresh air flowing down my lungs. Anthem of a generation I wish was my own, sadly I was born in '92.

  • these guys are Hot, sounding amazing!!!!!!

  • i dont mind getting head from the mouths of decadenceee eeeyaaaahhh

  • "i don't mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence, but i can't feed off the powerless, when my cup's already overfilled" ...... that line draws me to the song more than anything =D

  • Why don't they make music like this any more?

  • @lupusdiem11 I know right. Someday, grunge will make a comeback.

  • @HotAesopX One day, my friend. One day, grunge will return.

  • i googled essence and got here

  • 20 years still going hungry

  • whos the drummer in this song,is it matt cameron from soundgarden or the drummer of pearl jam?

  • @insanedrummer6191 It's Matt Cameron who started as Soundgarden's drummer but has since become Pearl Jam's drummer.

  • Two of some of my most favorite bands together as one. Why didn't I know about this earlier?!?!

  • yes

  • OMG! *-*♥

  • cornell is the fucking man...case closed

  • The good old times

  • Dude you posted this video on my bday!! awesome song!!!

  • Eddie used to wear those red leggins.

  • Soundgarden > Pearl Jam

    Chris Cornell > Eddie Vedder

  • @aydooknow Opposite > Your opinions

    Me > You

  • If i had a hot tub time machine, id go back to the 90s

  • @salrap10 lets invent it im in

  • Eddie Vedder has the best voice of all singers still alive.

  • Beautiful Song...

  • Pearl Jam And Soundgarden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pearl Jam is way better!! My favorite "Pearl Jam"!!!

    Man this a great force!!!

  • @richierich1933 nooooo soundagrden were soooo much more credible ..pearl jam though very good are more " dads fav band" type

  • Why is there a Blink 182 video in the related videos? That's just plain sacrilege.

  • lame music, im hungry

  • I love both singers/artists and their vocal expressions...Splendid song and video:-)

  • guys temple of the Dog is a one time thing. But the only album they put out, Is a tribute to their fallen bass player. and it is one of a kind. before soundgarden. and in between Pearl Jam.... Let this music be what it is..true music lovers and musicians don't fight over who is right.

  • @kinged123 Temple of the Dog was a tribute album to Andrew Wood, lead singer of Mother Love Bone. He was Chris Cornell's room mate and died of a heroin overdose right before Soundgarden went on tour. Devastated, Cornell wrote Say Hello to Heaven and Reach Down during the tour. Afterwards he got with Gossard and Ament (Mother Love Bone/Pearl Jam) and the whole thing morphed into TotD. It was right at the time when Vedder was auditioning for lead in Pearl Jam (named Mookie Blaylock at the time ).

  • @delijdewolfe thnx for the correction, I knew it was something like that. either way the whole cd rocks.

  • @kinged123 I totally agree with you. When this album came out I felt as if real music finally paid its dues.

  • Eddie Vetter is amazing but Chris is killing him here. Unreal!

  • Far-sighted warnings of pain and suffering. (katalina translates) WAAH!

  • Either way, thanks for posting!

  • Temple of the Dog needs to Reunite!!! PLEASE!!! ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMs EVER!!

  • see, i was wondering why i could actually understand the lyrics to this pearl jam song, answer, bc chris cornell was the one singing it.

  • @bodinian Actually its Temple of the Dog, not P.J yet...Although Pearl Jam uses some of the same Audio from the Album...The Album is like one of my favorite top five ever. Eddie sound so awesome on this song!!

  • Comment removed

  • ...beautiful song.....

  • rem the first time i heard this.. so so many years ago.. vedder/ cornell.. still have great voices on them..

  • SOUNDGARDEN REUNION!!! it feels like my parents just got back together. I heart you SoundGarden. And Pearl Jam, outstanding as always

  • i would say that the reunion isnt going to happen, but we might see some temple of the dog stuff.

  • You are so wrong, guess again!!!

  • soundgarden is already back together if thats the reunion you are talking about playing in chicago in aug

  • Not a big fan of Pearl Jam or Eddie vedder but this song is awesome. Their voices go so well together. Love this song, love Soundgarden, thanks for posting this.

  • I soooo want a Pearl Garden record now. I never heard this before.

IT'S SO FUCKING AWSOME! Such great voices TOGETHER!

  • We all lurked in the grass back in the 90's. This song is awesome. Good to hear Soundgarden is back

  • Im hungry :(

  • lol the singer for pearl jam is eddie vedder

  • Chirs Cornell is the very best singer I have ever heard ... the pearljam guy is'nt too bad i guess ;]

  • @worldselect9 YOU GUESS, CHECK OUT PEARL JAM (GARDEN) OR (INDIFFERENCE) SHITS TOUGH BUT CORNELL HITS SOME CRAZY PITCHES

  • You know your music bro....

  • hes better than cornell more feeling and emotion in terms of range he is better cornell has an incredible range

  • so beautiful :)

  • soundgarden 2010!!

  • reunion :D

  • plz tell me your not joking

  • I was actually walking in the woods alone one night, and I came across these guys rocking out.

  • @Eraser51 lmao

  • @Eraser51 Ha, if only that were true, that would be so awesome! I wonder if anyone did wander around and come across them as they were shooting this.

  • beautiful voices...Chriss is amazing.

  • i dont understand why hes lurking in the tall grass

  • Thank You so much for posting this.

  • I haven't heard this song in years, thanks for posting!

  • ti wraia hkona na blepeis auta ta eidola mazi na enonoun tis fwnes tous..

  • pragmatika apisteuto...kai poso polu tairiazoun oi fwnes tous enw einai toso diaforetikes..

  • Einai apautes tis mousikes pou 8a mporousan na einai soundtack se kapoio oneiro :)

  • great !

  • its about bobby sands

  • No, it's about Andrew Wood.

  • It hurts to beg or borrow

  • For those wondering i was the same age, even drank beer, smoked, etc, there and even with some in this vid

The point is however in Seattle and Oregon we didnt see the boom til later like the rest of the country..

I saw guys ,yes with long hair like mine at the time stealing food (shame),it was hard

and now we are all on these times

  • Who do you guys think is better

mad season or temple of the dog?

    I think mad season

  • i think so too...Mad season was fucking awesome !!

  • i think if you want to comment on mad season thats fine. just do it on a mad season video. it's disrespect to do it on a different video

  • disrespect ?? why ?? i mean...i love temple of the dog, that's why i posted the video. Besides, we are just having a dialogue in here. Don't take it so seriously dude :D

  • the thing about it is that it wasn't just dialogue. it was that you are debating one band v.s another wich in my mind isn't right. especially when you say mad season is better than temple of the dog on a temple of the dog video. To me that doesn't make sense

  • Well,i guess you're right. I apologize...

  • @valeferht lol you guys are way to nice. this is the internet people!! if someone says your being disrespectful call them a cunt! XD

  • @danthatcan2 right on

  • @danthatcan2 ye dont take it so seriously xD

  • @thestick169 Yea Madseason ha

  • @thestick169 Mad Season, only cause whatever Mark Lanegan is involved with is pure gold.

  • @thestick169 What about Alice Mudgarden? but they only did 1 song, right?

  • like um both wicked

  • @thestick169 you guys are fuckin stupid, Temple was so much better than Mad Season. Yeah Mad Season was good but they didnt have half of the good songs that Temple of the Dog had.

  • simplemente genial!!!

  • love them, love this song, gosh we had some good ass music back in the day

  • wish i lived back in the day of good music... like some of the stuff that comes along lately is so awful that its not even funny....

  • its still here we just need people to listen to it and know what real music is and not this rap bullshit and what ever else. music isnt about the number of curse words you can say and how offencive you can get it its about spreading a message through song and have talent which is something "artists" today lack

  • i love this expression on eddie.. is so dramatic, enthusiastic ... interesting

  • simply amazing, EV and Cornells voice mixes so well

  • grunge-the master of music art. very artistic

  • so good to watch it after years :D

  • These are my idols and all, but how it transists from chris to eddie is almost like a corny 80's love ballad. XD

  • Filmed at Discovery Park ,checck it out if you come to Seattle.

  • ive been there at that park.

  • I am old school. I love the classics.

  • dude. 1:10 is amazing!!!

  • a little math: Soundgarden are fu*king great + Pearl Jam kick a*s! = A PERFECT BAND !

Too bad the band broke up :(

  • Hmm , yeah...

  • Grunge Lives!!

  • chris kinda sounds like eddie in the beginning.

    amazing song.

    rip andrew

  • Mother Love Bone Would Have Been Really Big In The 90s

  • Gaby: I agree whit u !!Chris is a fuckin´amazing singer!!!

  • I dont know why , but this song didnt seem to get the recognition that it deserved at all. Thanks for the post.

  • I love this song!!!

I love Chris Cornell, the best singer, he is amazing

  • FOR SURE THIS IS ANOTHER CLASSIC!!!!!

  • who the fuck cares who sounds better. Both contributed to this song and made it badass. Another classic song of the 90's without a doubt.

  • I don't mean to sound childish. But who is the best singer? Eddie or Chris? -Both great, but without doubt I'd have to say CC is better.

  • true

  • Great tune.

  • Great song, great bands. Their voices work well together, both sound great in this. Eddie looks like he's just got lost in a field though. :P

  • I think I was 13 when this came out. Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and STP were definitely my favorite groups (in that order), so I rushed out to buy the TOTD album. I was disappointed that Vedder wasn't in all of the songs. Though their voices are distinctly different, I think they sound wonderful together. Your Savior is my favorite track from the album. Anyone know if that has a video?

  • Two amazing voices.

  • Cornell and Vedder, doesn't get much better in my book. One of the best songs ever.

  • Wow, Cornell and Vedder!

  • they are singing about andrew wood. he was chris cornell's roommate. he was also the singer for mother love bone, which became pearl jam when eddie joined. R.I.P. andy

  • The album and the temple of a dog project was a dedication to him. But I'm not sure this particular song is anything to do with him.

  • Chris Cornell is sexy, I must say.

  • One of the best songs ever!

  • damn, i miss grunge

  • me too :(

  • @Nerdboy456 we ALL miss grunge.

  • is this vedder singing or cornell? o is it both? thats pretty cool. im sorry im not very familiar with temple of the dog.

  • both of them

  • chris sings the first verse, eddie sings the second and chris sings the high notes in the chorus and eddie takes the low road.

  • Great song, who are they singing about? alot better then some of the trash thats brought out to reflect the bad situations of worse off ppl, u feel for them. 5 stars

  • great stuff, itd be cool if they got together again to do some touring, or maybe even a new album. (not breaking up peraljam, or chris' business obviously)

  • 'This video has been added to your favorites.'

  • A nice tribute to Andrew Wood, who never really got to live to make more music. I consider it to ALL we have lost to heroin.

  • wait nevermind he's the one that's playing guitar and sings the back up part when eddie goes i'm going hungry then chris goes IM GOING HUNGRYYYYY

  • chris is singing the first verse! lol

  • yah i just figured taht too haha

  • this is eddie vedder singing, where's chris?

  • I'm goin' hungry...

    I'M GOIN' HUNGRYYYYYYYYY

  • Cornell slayed those notes in this one. He hit em high

  • we talked only about this video, the members of TOTD.

  • ur absolutley right but we havent talked about nirvana.

  • foo fighters have nothing to do with this video. chris cornell went to form soundgarden/audioslave (both broke up later). foo fighters formed because dave grohl (nirvana drummer who changed to guitar/vocals) had broke up with nirvana since kurt cobain died. so yeah, foo fighters have nothing to do with this video

  • yeah right but audioslave broke up too, lol.

  • they did eh?

  • two best bands togheter (:

    in one word: beautiful!

  • This song and band is just amazing i can't wait til they do something new/tour.

  • dude...this band doesnt exist anymore.

  • Well they do still exist because tehyre doing tours man very small ones around random places bet Eddie Vedder is a recluse.

  • pearl jam still exists but soundgarden NOT!

  • Yeah i know that they broke up to form the foo fighters and audioslave right?

  • what does foo fighters have to do with that?

  • I thought soundgarden and nirvana members made up Foo fighters and that Audioslave was made up of Soundgarden(Chris cornell and i forget) and of Rage against...

  • dont like grunge but this song kicks ass!!!!!!

  • lindo d+

    s2

  • mis bandas favoritas

  • To those talking about the videos...Video's like this just don't appeal anymore, nor does the music...Why...Easy, most of the general public who support the bullshit thats on tv does NOT know what art is. But either way a lot of grunge bands are coming back, but underground is the way to keep it. Mainstream kills art...

  • yeah, grunge shouldnt make a total comeback, the media will try to ruin it again, it should stay with the people who have loved it since the beginning

  • thats fucken beatiful and true andrew11381138

  • Of course it wouldn't make sense for grunge to make a "total comeback"...I dunno if this makes sense but the purity of what was going on during that time that produced grunge's pure, raw energy doesn't correspond to what's going on today for sure. Music is always a reflection of the times and grunge just wouldn't fit in, ya know?

  • You hit the nail on the head my friend. Those were special times for those of us who were lucky enough to have lived our youths thru...
