when is saw this i thought it meant how to literally jump out of your car without jumper cables and i thought, why would i need jumper cables to jump out of a car so i clicked and slapped my forehead and said, "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH, now i see!"
Regular jumper cables are easier and faster then this. And also safer. I don't know what kind of damage this will do to internal wiring or fuses of the cars.
I actually had one of these. Not the same brand, but basically the same thing. It took FOREVER to charge the battery. I had my battery die in a snow storm, and my hood ended up getting frozen shut, so we had to use these. I ended up pouring hot water on my hood, and getting regular cables to start it up before this could charge it. (Roughly 25 mins.) Also, it was snowing and cold, and completely dead, so that might have been the reason why.
I been looking to downsize all the shit I haul with me. My tool box is handy, but is way to big for the small amount of necessities I carry in it. And hinders my payload capacity outside my tool box. My jumper cables take up a tangled 1-2 cubic feet. This would def help reduce my clutter. Now I need a tiny jack, and tiny 33" spare tire..... hint hint...
@Lonsoleil Prices are subject to change. We'd have to either re-edit and reupload the video, or cover it in ugly edit bubbles. Besides, we want people to come to the website!
@Northcodedotno I just explained why we don't use those. First and foremost, they're ugly and amateurish. Second, we WANT people to come to the website.
dont understand how you can transfer enough amps through that little cable through a cigarrette lighter circuit to jump a car, would you not blow the fuse?
@bikercc you dont need "amps" you only need to give the battery the juice to create the current. Something that can be done through a lower current. This method would take a lot longer then jumper cables.
0:16 That's not the sound of a dead battery. All you would hear is a single *wamp* as the starter motor tries to crank... then nothing. Soundman... YOU'RE FIRED!!
or, you can just get a manual transmission car and never worry about needing a jump start again!! i mean for christ's sake, even if i dont have a hill or suitable flat terrain to push on, i can just jack up my car, tie a rope around my tire and pull...engine started!
@14omega28ok Actually, I do, but your solution is literally the first time I have ever heard such a thing. I'm aware of how to push start a manual, but your method just seems a little... overly complicated and extremely dependent on the nature of the battery and engine..
@vat19com How is pushing the car and releasing the clutch complicated? I've done it... many times. Sometimes even by myself because my small car (A older model VW beetle) can be easily pushed with a leg and a little weight put into it.
@14omega28ok Like I said, there is nothing unusual about push starting a car, but I have literally never seen someone on the side of the road doing it with a rope. I'm not saying it doesn't work, it just seems like it would be overly difficult, especially during inclement weather.
@vat19com Yeah the rope idea is bullshit, I thought you were talking about just the fact of push starting it. Sorry. I've been enjoying your videos for hours btw lol
@jjhhkkify You can't always do it with electronic fuel injection manual cars.. you can do it with most manual cars but not all..
You need enough power in the battery to energize the field of the alternator.so if the battery is to low you wont be able to start it..
But what you said is correct... the cigarette lighter in my car don't work and lots of newer cars don't always have them... so it's a case of doing what you can... Jack, rope, cables, hill start etc etc
@jjhhkkify Dude its not like your going to be like "gee i need a jump time to buy a manual transmission car" Its obviously not made for you so just Enjoy watching awsome inventions
Interestingly enough,in an earlier video you made a roadside kit with jumper cables in it. If you've bought both products, you've completely nullified the use of a 10 foot long pair of jumper cables.
Uhm, I agree with angelmonkey10 Its says you need to plug the other wire to a working car and the other wire to yours so basically its the same thing.
@niro25587 The idea is to charge this and keep it stored so that IF your car needs a jump, you can jump it yourself without another car. Think of it as a backup.
I need one of these. Notice in the video how at 0:25 he walks over to a stranger's car to give his a jump. Warning: Keep your car doors closed when you park and go shopping. :)
AW MAN. I GOT MY HANDS DIRTY FROM OPENING MY HOOD. UGGHHH FML. k so when you say "without jumper cables" it gives off an idea that you dont need another car......and in this case you need another car......and you also need to wait.......but hey its a new idea and eventually it might bring along something better.
bad thing with jumping cars today is that you can severly fuck your ECU up. my mate had a Haltech one didn't jump it properly and the fuel map went bye bye. car got jumped but the ECU had no idea what was going on the so the car having a reallll shite time
um, i don't think it's that hard to pop the hood and connect the cables to the battery. i guess this product is 4 persons who actually don't belong near a car =)
well this would definitely come in handy for me at this moment as my cars battery is dead. Apparently it's shorted out also, because it melted my jumper cables. positives were on positives and negatives were grounded. I did nothing wrong. Just a defect in the battery I'm guessing. Either way my point is, in my spot this could have helped
@p154831 yeah, it is most convenient for cars that have batteries in odd places, like some dodge intrepids have the battery over the wheel and some bmw's have it under the back seat; whereas the lighter socket is easily accessible
@Angielyrica Oh, well in that case you look like a girl and you are HELLA dumb because you said "minus well"<---hahahahahaha, wow, dumb like a girl and looks like a girl.
