  • maybe you should try the same test with other physics engines.

I posted Video made With Newton Game Dynamics that does not seems to exhibit those problems you are seem with PhysX

  • You are right,for now.

but seeing as how this is PhysX and is still Super Basic,Will we surly see Much greater Physics in the future.

    But Besides the point,Good Vid.

    OK OK GREAT!

  • Your not actually right there PhysX is the more advanced and from experance better (substeps are less of an issue as it raycasts trajectories)

but the PhysX SDK was given out free to game companies on the condition that:

any game they created made use of a PhysX card

That being there downfall, as then the game becomes more of a tech demo, example - Cell factor.

but yeah PhysX is great, and now Nvidia owns it, its only up from there :)

  • my cold's gone now thanks guys.

  • That is the single most interesting piece of physics based theory I have ever learned about.

  • I never would have thought about it like that. Interesting.

  • thanks, i was expecting critizium about using the tower :) lol

  • I'm not knowledgeable on the subject well enough to qualify as to critique your video. I'm just a typical dood who plays games and go: "Bam! Bam! Yeah! Barrels Exploded! Woo woo pretty grafiks."

But now that you've mentioned it. Why did you choose the tower?

  • becuase its hollow it makes an excilent candiate to show how it unfairly splits allong curain axies, its like wnating something to peal that needs to be pretty strate and not choosing banana, an orringe woulnt work, because, well picture it lol.

  • Cool, didn't expect it to be that obvious. lol

Thanks for the insight. I guess nothing comes close to the supreme Physics Processing Unit in Real life, eh. Perhaps one day maybe?

  • that depends how you define real life, if you would want UBER realistic phyiscs, its not (yet) possible, eg, a glass window is never "solid" just an extreamly viscous fluid, hence old windows are warped and distorted

  • ooooo? llol nice one mate
