To this day Killzone 3 is in almost every way a more enjoyable game than Black ops ever was. In fact, personally, I didn't like Black ops all that much. Now CoD4 MW was a great game, and was replaced by Killzone 3 when that game was hacked. Killzone 3 has been my primary Run & Gun shooter since it released. It has great map packs, at fair prices. Secondly, because I didn't like BF3 beta gameplay feel I will be sticking to BFBC2 and I hope MW3 feels like CoD4 did.... If not I still got killzone

you guys, both constoles are great systems and nobody should judge either. i have both and i can agree i like the 360's controllers and black scheme and multi platform talking more. i can say i like the ps3 software, blueray capibility and the wifi capibility.. lets all focus on the real enemy..

i prefer kz2 than kz3 because of warzone which is more fun on kz2. Due to the taction spawn points in kz2 which can be placed anywhere. I tured into a cod addict but kz2 helped me become a great team player. i can play any of the fps and can ply well on them. yes kz2 takes time to control and play well, but its worth it when you top the lobby leaderboards.
@jfl125 haha thats funny because i just told one of my friends on psn that and he thought i was lying about CoD, i started playing FPSs with battlefield, then killzone series is amazing, i played the hell out of the 1st on ps2. all of you people saying how good KZ3 is should really play KZ2 if you haven't. KZ2 was WAY more tactical and "hardcore" as far as gameplay goes. KZ3 is pretty dumbed down compared to KZ2. every gun feels different and it has that "weighted" feeling that gives it a more realistic tone. most of all there's actually skill involved in KZ2 so it's not about relying on cheap "abilities" like CoD and KZ3. if you are a huge CoD fan, you most likely won't like KZ2 for that reason lol
@vandetta13 disagree, Kz3 kept all of kz2's strategic elements. The addition of tactical spawn points and the removal of the assault class makes the battles in kz3 much more strategy based. The only thing I wish they'd kept is the old class system in kz2, I guess it was causing some problems but making squads with random people and spawning to leaders was crazy.
@jewsmakingmovies idk man, the engineer is a perfect example. in KZ2 you can place multiple turrets that only fire bullets at enemies, but in KZ3 you can only set one that fires bullets AND spams rockets. the saboteur is another good example, in KZ2 you can spot one easily if you know what to look for, but in KZ3 there's almost no way t tell them apart. as for the sniper, he can STAY invisible on the radar and in plain site as long as he has a silenced weapon. how is that not cheap??
@vandetta13 Ye but the only silenced weapon thesnupir gets is a tiny submachine gun only good for close range at which point he's not that invisible. Idk biout u but I can almost always tell infiltrators apart,, its just harder but im good at it as any1 wud b whos good at the game
@jewsmakingmovies well snipers can pick up other weapons. you know that. i know in KZ2 the saboteur's disguises didn't have lights, as for KZ3 i couldn't find any differences between the saboteurs' disguise and your allies unless you have your cross hairs over them. but they can upgrade so that you have to be closer for that to work. in other words, the more you play, the cheaper your abilities get. that's pretty much with any class though. how is that "tactical"?
@vandetta13 The abilities aren't cheap, there's a counter to every class. As for infiltrators, I like that they made it harder to recognize. I can usually tell if it's an infiltrator just by the way they move (They run faster than other classes and are usually running towards you) A good infiltrator should be able to be stealthy, the abilities are not cheap they are as good as the person who uses them.
@vandetta13 0.o actually that doesn't explain shit, would you care to elaborate? I got kz2 soon as it came out, it was my first ps3 game and the reason I bought a ps3. Played it for well over a year before black ops came out.
@jewsmakingmovies i just don't see how you think KZ3 is as tactical as KZ2. what's tactical about "stationary" spawn points? (they practically encourage spawn campers) or being able to place ONE turret that spams rockets? or being able to stay invisible after a kill, in plain site, on radar AND with a radar jammer?? the list goes on. do you think CoD is as tactical as KZ2 as well??
@vandetta13 They took spawn grenades out because they kept getting camped. The spawn points in kz3 are placed in good locations with lot's of cover. I'm actually really glad you can't place multiple turrets as an engineer, kz2 was always clogged with those damn things. The sniper still flickers when he kills with a silenced gun and the radar jammer let's you know that a sniper is nearby. Kz3 is a very well balanced game. Cod is just arcade shooting it's fun but not tactical.
@jewsmakingmovies you could see if a spawn grenade was being camped or not. and if it was being camped then the tactician didn't choose a very "tactical" spot for that grenade. as for the turrets in KZ2, they're only effective if they're placed in a good spot. usually when i played online turrets had an average lifespan of about 5 sec so i've never seen them "clog" up a map. & when they saw you, you usually at least had a chance to get away. unlike the ones with rockets. those are facts.
@vandetta13 Seriously? That's bs I played killzone 2 more than I've ever played any other shooter and those bloody turrets clogged shit up like it was nobodies buisness. The rockets are easier to get away from, if the turret is close you can kill it and if it's far the rocket takes a while to get there. Everything is very well balanced. Spawn grenades always got camped.
@jewsmakingmovies that's how it was for me and i've had that game since it came out lol. everyone usually shot at the turrets so they'd be gone in a few seconds. in KZ3 i've just thrown one of those mortar beacons onto a spawn point under enemy control and get a good number of kills, that just feels cheap as hell. KZ3 makes you rely on your ability too much, like you said, everything has a "counter" so it becomes like "rock paper scissors" no skill. just dumb luck. KZ3 is checkers & KZ2 is chess
@jewsmakingmovies in KZ3, you have to rely on your abilities pretty heavily to get kills. in KZ2 the abilities aren't overpowered so they don't spoon-feed you kills, you can even play as a regular soldier in KZ2 and still not be at a big disadvantage. but in KZ3, you NEED those abilities so much that you can't even choose not to have them. so it's the abilities getting the kills, not the players' skill
@vandetta13 Abilities don't get kills, players using abilities in effective ways it what gets kills. I realize the abilities play a bigger role in kz3 than in 2 but I like that aspect of it.

@jewsmakingmovies of course you like the bonus ribbons lol. if you suck at aiming, there's a "better accuracy" ribbon for that. if you're bad at keeping track of the rounds in your mag there's a "faster reload" ribbon, etc. the ribbons (along with the abilities) just over compensate for what players lack in skill making the game "easier" and putting everyone on par with each other, thereby making skill less of an issue and taking away the game's depth and learning curve. THINK about it.
@vandetta13 The ribbons are not as easy to aquire as you think...and what you say is BS. The ribbons don't put everyone on par, faster reload is extremely useful when you are fighting multiple players at once.

@dule93bg - what skill, cod is the easiest fps hands down. little to no recoil, auto aime that locks people through walls giving away their position, rewards people for being camping douchebags by giving them ks. sorry its a great franchise but bf is much more challenging
This game is awesome. I played this game after playing Black Ops and initially I didn't like it cuz I died like crazy and the game did not have kill streaks. Now that I have played this game for over 12 hours, I love this game and I prefer this game over COD game. What I love about this game is to do well in this game team work is essential. Every single class is important and playing together with other classes is the key to winning the game.

I dunno. I still feel like killzone 2 is better. Is it the maps. Is it the server filters or spawn grenades of the marksman. I still like killzone 2 better. Maybe its because I spent more than 500 hrs on killzone 2 multiplayer that I do not want it to change.

@racingfan312 I really wish for the same. Here is my assumption, I could be wrong. Western players prefer competitive games. The FPS genre is very popular in the west and XBOX being a western company heavely promotes FPS games. On the other hand, PS3 is a Japanese console and Japanese people prefer individual experience (RPGs). I think Sony needs different marketing strategies for games for Japan and games for the western players.
they should make a game that the guns jam sometimes. and with the reload thing, people who actually spend time shooting can, and do, reload very quickly.
@Fishfan10 - people still play that? check out my "beer battered"map if you havent played it already, it pretty different from the norm. space case was cool too. had a real crazy ridiculous one i never quite finished but it was a challenging idea lol. damn i should have finished that map. that game was decent but could have been so much better if ubi gave 2 shits to listen to fix it, the map maker was far more addicting lol.
@justxvictor123 To the jamming idea, they could make it to discourage the sprint n' spraying of new players from COD. like if you run in a room and spray off 30 rounds without stopping the barrel heats and a round jams. but then again, games are made for fun not for realisticness (for the most part).

@heyitsthekid a huge complaint at that time was that when crysis was released. Even the state of the art computer(Strongest Graphic card, Processor, and ram) Couldn't run Crysis on max. It still is used as a benchmark test to truly see how strong a game is. Crysis 2 had to turn the power down for consoles. @drathjon - killzone 3 is the most graphically stunning console fps with crysis 2 being close behind. the visual style is not for everyone but the textures and other technical aspects of the game really put the multiplats to shame.

all of you people saying how good KZ3 is should really play KZ2 if you haven't. KZ2 was WAY more tactical and "hardcore" as far as gameplay goes. KZ3 is pretty dumbed down compared to KZ2. every gun feels different and it has that "weighted" feeling that gives it a more realistic tone. most of all there's actually skill involved in KZ2 so it's not about relying on cheap "abilities" like CoD and KZ3. if you are a huge CoD fan, you most likely won't like KZ2 for that reason lol

@vandetta13 disagree, Kz3 kept all of kz2's strategic elements. The addition of tactical spawn points and the removal of the assault class makes the battles in kz3 much more strategy based. The only thing I wish they'd kept is the old class system in kz2, I guess it was causing some problems but making squads with random people and spawning to leaders was crazy.

@jewsmakingmovies idk man, the engineer is a perfect example. in KZ2 you can place multiple turrets that only fire bullets at enemies, but in KZ3 you can only set one that fires bullets AND spams rockets. the saboteur is another good example, in KZ2 you can spot one easily if you know what to look for, but in KZ3 there's almost no way t tell them apart. as for the sniper, he can STAY invisible on the radar and in plain site as long as he has a silenced weapon. how is that not cheap??

@jewsmakingmovies well snipers can pick up other weapons. you know that. i know in KZ2 the saboteur's disguises didn't have lights, as for KZ3 i couldn't find any differences between the saboteurs' disguise and your allies unless you have your cross hairs over them. but they can upgrade so that you have to be closer for that to work. in other words, the more you play, the cheaper your abilities get. that's pretty much with any class though. how is that "tactical"?

@vandetta13 The abilities aren't cheap, there's a counter to every class. As for infiltrators, I like that they made it harder to recognize. I can usually tell if it's an infiltrator just by the way they move (They run faster than other classes and are usually running towards you) A good infiltrator should be able to be stealthy, the abilities are not cheap they are as good as the person who uses them.

@vandetta13 They took spawn grenades out because they kept getting camped. The spawn points in kz3 are placed in good locations with lot's of cover. I'm actually really glad you can't place multiple turrets as an engineer, kz2 was always clogged with those damn things. The sniper still flickers when he kills with a silenced gun and the radar jammer let's you know that a sniper is nearby. Kz3 is a very well balanced game. Cod is just arcade shooting it's fun but not tactical.

@jewsmakingmovies you could see if a spawn grenade was being camped or not. and if it was being camped then the tactician didn't choose a very "tactical" spot for that grenade. as for the turrets in KZ2, they're only effective if they're placed in a good spot. usually when i played online turrets had an average lifespan of about 5 sec so i've never seen them "clog" up a map. & when they saw you, you usually at least had a chance to get away. unlike the ones with rockets. those are facts.

The rockets are easier to get away from, if the turret is close you can kill it and if it's far the rocket takes a while to get there. Everything is very well balanced. Spawn grenades always got camped.

@jewsmakingmovies that's how it was for me and i've had that game since it came out lol. everyone usually shot at the turrets so they'd be gone in a few seconds. in KZ3 i've just thrown one of those mortar beacons onto a spawn point under enemy control and get a good number of kills, that just feels cheap as hell. KZ3 makes you rely on your ability too much, like you said, everything has a "counter" so it becomes like "rock paper scissors" no skill. just dumb luck. KZ3 is checkers & KZ2 is chess

@jewsmakingmovies in KZ3, you have to rely on your abilities pretty heavily to get kills. in KZ2 the abilities aren't overpowered so they don't spoon-feed you kills, you can even play as a regular soldier in KZ2 and still not be at a big disadvantage. but in KZ3, you NEED those abilities so much that you can't even choose not to have them. so it's the abilities getting the kills, not the players' skill

@jewsmakingmovies of course you like the bonus ribbons lol. if you suck at aiming, there's a "better accuracy" ribbon for that. if you're bad at keeping track of the rounds in your mag there's a "faster reload" ribbon, etc. the ribbons (along with the abilities) just over compensate for what players lack in skill making the game "easier" and putting everyone on par with each other, thereby making skill less of an issue and taking away the game's depth and learning curve. THINK about it.

This game is awesome. I played this game after playing Black Ops and initially I didn't like it cuz I died like crazy and the game did not have kill streaks. Now that I have played this game for over 12 hours, I love this game and I prefer this game over COD game. What I love about this game is to do well in this game team work is essential. Every single class is important and playing together with other classes is the key to winning the game.

@racingfan312 I really wish for the same. Here is my assumption, I could be wrong. Western players prefer competitive games. The FPS genre is very popular in the west and XBOX being a western company heavely promotes FPS games. On the other hand, PS3 is a Japanese console and Japanese people prefer individual experience (RPGs). I think Sony needs different marketing strategies for games for Japan and games for the western players.

@heyitsthekid a huge complaint at that time was that when crysis was released. Even the state of the art computer(Strongest Graphic card, Processor, and ram) Couldn't run Crysis on max. It still is used as a benchmark test to truly see how strong a game is. Crysis 2 had to turn the power down for consoles. Huge problem with crysis one consoles is that when to many things are happening, the framerate takes a hit. Its obvious that Killzone 3 is beautiful but thats because they compare it to the

Understand if you had a All maxed pc with the strongest rig, this game can be pushed far above and beyond what ps3 will ever be.
