no unfortunately i don't have a AFC. well it only vents when i mash on the gas or else it recirculates. but i think my next mod will be the hypertech, i am going to leave the AFC for last.

Your maf sensor counts all that air, that is supposed to be recirculated, and then you go a vent it to atmosphere. Do you have a afc to correct for the vta? Otherwise you're running stupid rich between shifts and off throttle.

wtf are you talking about?? if its a Mazda speed 3 its a bypass valve? isn't a bypass valve the same on all turbo cars regardless the type of car.

like which one? i thought the one i bought was expensive. i wanted performance mods that works. most blow off valve that vent off right away even in low boost is wasting gas. when the air doesn't go back into the intake the computer doesn't know what 2 do and runs it rich.

if your blow off valve is recirculating i don't see why its illegal, but i don't know Spain laws. the mazdaspeed 3 stock has a blow off valve but it recirculates and you really have to be mashing on your car to hear it and at that is still quit. this blow off valve i have is a hybrid it recirculates during low boost and blows off during high. but i can add a metal plate that it comes with to the inside of the blow horn and it will make it permanent recirculate.

It's a similar case in Australia. The best solution is to get a blanking plug (available from any Turbosmart Dealer) for this BOV and when you need to just unscrew the trumpet and replace it with the blanking plug. It then becomes a simple bypass valve. Easy:)

Is that BOV legal for street use? I ask because here in Spain law is extremely asshole and we gotta pass tests every year, so if it's just for racing you FAIL.

there is no hp gain by adding a blow off valve its there simply just to relive pressure that causes your turbo to surge aka compressor surge. which in the long run relieves wear on your engine.

clang001 the BOV simply takes pressure off the turbo to reduce long term damage and is essential when adding any parts which will increase boost (exhaust, intake etc.)
