Ok, Lets be perfectly be honest. How many people have ACTUALLY read the book and felt that this film should of been more respectful to the original concept. Don't get me wrong there folks, Lawrence did a real decent job to bring this story to life though HIS vision. But after reading the novel a second time...Something just didn't feel right.

The fact that Smith's character almost seems to be in denial that anyone is left alive, and that he doesn't believe in God anmore because of the devestation of the world, makes me wonder if the ending of "The Mist" would've fit this movie. Like he refuses to believe there are still people out there to help, and everyone dies at the end except for him. Then soldiers from the human colony show up and he realizes he was wrong and was hiding from help all along, and everyone died because of him.
