To those reading, congenital heart defects are THE NUMBER ONE BIRTH DEFECT, affecting one child out of every 115 to 150. That's almost as many children diagnosed with autism. It is so vitally important that pregnant moms have their docs get a good look via ultrasound at that heart in utero, before the baby's birth. If something is amiss, it is usually very fixable.
Great video. My son Benjamin was born November 7, 2008 with HLHS. He has had two surgeries now and is doing fantastic. God is so good! Isn't it a blessing to wake up everyday and see how our heart children beat the odds! My faith is restored daily. I hope her 3rd surgery was as successful as the previous 2. Prayers, Ellen Lazo
